I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and becoming very impatient to meet my little girl. Anyone else at the same gestation as I am?

Nothing yet ... 39w today - I've changed my expectation for her to arrive on due date next week otherwise I'll go mad!

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 09:02

I'm due in THREE days

I may boil my head

MyBreadIsEggy · 16/10/2016 09:25

Nothing here either.
I've had some "signs" (according to Dr Google), but I'm not hoping for much just yet.
I'm getting some pretty tasty period-type cramps in my lower back, but nothing else to indicate baby is imminent Hmm

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 09:33

Ah eggy just remember sometimes there are no signs!

MyBreadIsEggy · 16/10/2016 09:39

Afresh true that....especially with second babies!
I think I'm just on edge looking for things because I didn't go into spontaneous labour last time - my waters broke at 38 weeks and I had to be induced because labour didn't start on its own within 24 hrs Sad

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 09:45

I had slow stop-start labour with DC1+2

No signs at all with 3, easiest quickest loveliest birth ever

And now with this one I'm back on bloody three days of is this it? Funnily enough DC3 is the only girl

LolaStarr · 16/10/2016 10:55

If you go full term with your first are you more likely to with your second? I went into labour naturally on my due date with DS1. I'm thinking I may be being a bit optimistic thinking I might go early this time Sad

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 11:09

DC2 was earlier than DC1

DC3 was later than both of them

DC4 is looking latest of all....

mypropertea · 16/10/2016 16:13

Being induced now due to lack of movement. Bring on the pessary

MyBreadIsEggy · 16/10/2016 16:21

Lola I read an interesting article about a study done in America, and it suggested that each woman has her own individual gestation period which is somewhere around 40 weeks, but can differ from woman to woman. They found that women having subsequent babies, gave birth round about the same gestation as their first baby.....I'll try and find the link. They also thought their might be a correlation between your metabolism and your gestation period - was an interesting read!

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 16:29

Good luck my proper tea!

LolaStarr · 16/10/2016 16:33

bread would definitely be interested in having a read of that!

LillianFullStop · 16/10/2016 17:15

good luck mypropertea!!!

mypropertea · 16/10/2016 19:48

Nothing has happened so far...

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 19:55

Ah that's rubbish

My contractions have died off I think but having more bloody show

So boring

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 20:14

Trying to work out if it is bloody show or trickling blood tinged waters as not very mucousy

MyBreadIsEggy · 16/10/2016 20:19

Hope things get going for you soon propertea!
I didn't think there was anywhere left for my baby to drop into.... but over the past few hours he seems to have dropped even further down, lots of pressure, and everything feels very "bulgy" down there Blush

mypropertea · 16/10/2016 20:54

Small amount of manageable pain- woo hooo!

mypropertea · 16/10/2016 20:55

You don't have to have a proper show, mine has been a slow slimy leek over the last 2 weeks (ewe)

mypropertea · 17/10/2016 06:25
