38 weeks

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and becoming very impatient to meet my little girl. Anyone else at the same gestation as I am?

My spd was bad last night, one side just completely seized up and getting to the toilet was horrendous

fresh sounds like what I have going on right now I have my hot water bottle and have taken some paracetamol, but that about as much as I can do to try and ease it

Quite disappointed fresh was looking forward to labour kicking off by mid-week if sweep was successful... they will have another try next week which is after my due date was really hoping she would come at 38w but now I'm looking like I'll be overdue!!!

Sorry you're having it so rough with the SPD, cramps and contractions

SPD sounds horrendous eggy!!

I feel like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. Which is stupid because obviously I can't really be pregnant forever can I....

This is going to sound awful....but the only thing making this a bit more bearable is knowing that you guys are having just as much of a shit time as I am!
Just sitting at home, it feels like I'm the only person in the world who is uncomfortable, fed up, in pain and wanting to expel this child from my body!
And to top it off.....my best friend is in fucking labour as we speak

I've just had a really bloody painful contraction I think, it was all round my back and front and when it finished I tried to go to the kitchen and nearly screamed the place down at the daggers

So I have now found a new way to walk. If you keep your legs together until below your knees it really minimizes the daggers

I did tell her earlier that as much as I love her, and am excited for her to have her baby....I also have an overwhelming urge to punch her in the face

I'll try that tip to avoid the daggers fresh - I've been advised to do more walking and more bouncing on the ball - one I don't have a bouncing ball and two walking is a nightmare with the daggers!!!!

Dp thinks my spd is so bad because I'm not walking enough

I've tried bouncing on edge of bed or sofa in place of a ball. Bad bad daggers .....

It's amazing how 8 months can fly by and then the last month takes 10000000 days !!!

fresh I've taken to kneeling on all fours with my front have over my ball is the only way to take pressure off my hips and lower back....but then I get neck ache from trying to watch to like that!

38+5, still no signs at all, no twinges, no BH, nothing.

First baby and really don't want to go overdue. Midwife tomorrow, going to ask about a sweep

Maybe TMI but here goes:
Forced myself to DTD with DH (waters broke immediately after sex when I had my DD, so I have faith it!) at about 10pm - wasn't painful, but definitely felt like everything was very low down and some cervix prodding was happening.
For that last half hour I've had some pretty tasty braxton hicks, but nothing substantial!

Ok, I stand corrected.
I'm pretty sure these aren't braxton hicks. Feeling more like intense period pain both in my lower belly and lower back, coupled with shooting bum and fanny pain

Ooooh how exciting. Does this mean it's started? How are you feeling now?

Eggy I'm so jealous, I was sure I was starting last night, started to get a really tight tummy and had shooting/stabby pains but it's all gone now. My hips are in agony. Off to the midwife today, maybe I could sweet talk her into giving me a sweep? Maybe I should take some cash....

We have a baby!
