I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and becoming very impatient to meet my little girl. Anyone else at the same gestation as I am?

I'm 38+2 but given ds arrived at 40+13 I'm trying to resign myself to another 4 weeks or so. Baby has been engaged for 4 or 5 weeks now and has its bum shoved right up under my right ribs so it's getting really uncomfortable :(.

LillianFullStop · 12/10/2016 20:51

I've stopped worrying about the birth now I just want her out and to come home with me please!

All my google searches are 'signs of labour' instead of about the birth now. Come on baby!!!

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/10/2016 21:14

I'm on the same page as Afresh - I've hated both pregnancies with a passion. I had a really easy labour and birth with my Dd - well, as easy as squeezing a human from your flange will ever be Hmm So I'm actually looking forward to the birth this time as strange as hat sounds!

Gabby786 · 12/10/2016 21:39

I feel you ladies. I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and I just want her out now. Absolutely sick and tired of being pregnant. It's shit and boring lol.

With you on this one ladies....fanny daggers here too!

Was 38 weeks yesterday, am HUGE, can no longer get my socks on, no longer have ankles, up every hour in the night for a wee and to dry off from the night sweats, no longer bend in the middle....hmm.....the glamour of late pregnancy!

Willing this baby out now ( although also petrified of the birth as I've been told it's gonna be big)!

Good luck to you all!

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 11:42

OMG literally every step I'm in agony

crocodarl · 13/10/2016 11:48

38 weeks with no. 3. Can't bend in the middle, can't be bothered doing ANYTHING. It's been an easy pregnancy but another 2 weeks feels like an eternity and 1st 2 were both late so trying to prepare myself that it's more likely to be another 3 weeks... arrrghh why did this seem like such a good idea?

MyBreadIsEggy · 13/10/2016 11:55

I thought I would be productive today. Dropped DH off at work at 8am, then drove the 30 mins to the nearest supermarket with DD, did my weeks grocery shopping, got home and unpacked it all, gave Dd lunch, put her down for a nap and now I feel completely wiped out Sad and the baby'a weird, forceful kicks make me feel sick every time and he's having a very active day today!!

crocodarl · 13/10/2016 12:01

I thought I would be productive today... DH went out at 8 to drop off the kids on his way to work and I ... went back to bed for 2 hours ....then had a shower and went to the doctor's for weekly check-up... then ate a snack... and now I've only got an hour left til it's time to pick the kids up! What happened!! I had plans for housework etc etc (MIL & various inlaws arriving later and it would be nice if the house was slightly tidier..) Disaster. Still. at least I got the baby clothes washed and ironed over the weekend...

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 12:04

I'm having to slide around the house as it's literally too painful to walk

user1476359634 · 13/10/2016 13:06

Hey, ladies! I'm 39 weeks pregnant) And I'm expecting a little beautiful baby girl) It is my first pregnancy, so I'm frightened and happy at a time! Gabby786 · 13/10/2016 13:26

I've had a very easy pregnancy apart from the last few weeks as every time I get up I start to get twinges. Im 38 weeks today and I feel like another two weeks of this will kill me lol.

Gabby that's good though Grin I keep telling myself that all the fanny daggers, braxton hicks and shooty bum pain means that my temporary lodger is heading towards the exit Grin

Kittenrush · 13/10/2016 17:52

Okay the tiny human dropped yesterday and in one day I have completely changed my mind. Get her out. Get her out now. Right this second please

LolaStarr · 13/10/2016 18:21

Haha I feel your pain kitten. I've been walking about like John Wayne all day! I actually feel like she's going to drop out! (Or rather I wish she would Grin)

Kittenrush · 13/10/2016 18:40

Haha, I've been trying to keep moving and have been wandering around town but I'm pretty sure it looks like I pooped myself so I came home. I swear she's punching my bladder too. I'm not happy

Squtternutbosch · 13/10/2016 18:45

Me too! He's dropped, and so has my tolerance for this ongoing situation Grin

Not even 38 weeks yet but I'm sooo ready!

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 13/10/2016 18:46

40+3 here and very uncomfortable. Period-type cramps for the past 10 days and it is painful/jaggy to walk. DD1 arrived at 40+6 so hopefully not long to go! I'm planning something lovely for each day as a consolation.

LillianFullStop · 14/10/2016 13:59

Had contractions 10-15minutes apart last night for about 2 or so hours.. then nothing again today. COME ON!!

MyBreadIsEggy · 14/10/2016 14:02

My baby has definitely dropped too. I can actually breathe again Grin but it does feel like his head will fall out every time he moves which isn't exactly pleasant Hmm I'm sitting here waiting for my midwife to come round for my home birth visit!

Kittenrush · 14/10/2016 14:02

Oh milkshake you poor thing, good plan on the something nice for everyday. So far the highlight of my day was finding a mars bar at the back of the cupboard that I thought the bf had eaten Hmm

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 15:22

Mild contractions / strong cramps every 20-40 mins all day
