38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

You too foxes

MillieMoodle · 05/09/2016 06:25

Ooh, good luck foxes and Jen! Sounds promising for you both!

Nothing happening here; DH has gone to work and DS and I are up to get ready for school. No twinges although had a few braxton hicks in the night. Maybe when DS is at school something will happen!

Dilligufdarling · 05/09/2016 07:18

Wow! Good luck you guys!! Fingers crossed for a) no false alarms and b) fabulous births GrinGrinGrin

0hCrepe · 05/09/2016 07:24

Well i think mine was a false alarm and i just pee'd myself Blush

foxes i hope your contractions are real and your doing ok

foxessocks · 05/09/2016 09:05

Thanks! Still contractions every ten minutes and some of them are very painful. But some of them aren't. I rang the maternity unit and they said to come in when I feel it is time!?

MillieMoodle · 05/09/2016 09:43

Aw Jen bless you. Have you been in to be checked just in case?

Good luck foxes, sounds promising!

Nothing happening here. Have dropped DS off at school. He's driven me up the wall the last 4 weeks but the house is so quiet without him and I miss him already. I think I'm more emotional today than I was when he started school!

Jenjen85 · 05/09/2016 10:07

millie going in at 1.30 to be checked over. Ill be so embarrassed if iv wet myself but as it didnt smell i don't think it was. Although my OH reckonsi just wet myself Blush

foxes sounding promising. My fingers are crossed for you

0hCrepe · 05/09/2016 10:23

Are you still trickling Jen? I had a hind leak with ds which was like a tiny hole and just a tiny trickle every so often. Had to be induced after a couple of days when nothing else happened.

I'm been lazing in bed since kids went to school and watched an old obem. Baby's doing done painful movements and hiccuping again, I WILL get up and clean soon!!

ohidoliketobe · 05/09/2016 10:25

Yay go foxes! Good luck

jen do hope it's your waters. All the best for you too.

I had a lovely sleep and having a lazy toddler free morning. Feel quite energised and well rested. DH drove into work. So can guarantee that my baby will not come today Grin

millie I'm an only child too so I do think part of it is that I'm struggling to relate to the while sibling thing. DS is only 2 so in a year or so I imagine he won't know any different. I just have moments where I wonder what I'm doing to our little family dynamic . But I thought that before DS came along and haven't looked back since!

Jenjen85 · 05/09/2016 10:29

ohcrepe nothing since which makes me wonder if i did just wee Blush but when i did go the toilet it felt like a different sensation. Had no pains or anything. Was told if it was my waters and nothing happened they would only let me go over 24hrs as it increases the risk of infection.

Dilligufdarling · 05/09/2016 10:44

jen was it much liquid? Could still have been the front waters and then the hind waters might go later.
Maybe see how you go through the day.

foxes have got everything crossed for you!

First day of mat leave for me here. DH has taken DS out for the morning while i wait for a delivery... I made flapjacks with DS before they left and have done the washing up so figure I'm allowed to crochet and watch Netflix for the rest of the day right??? Grin

Jenjen85 · 05/09/2016 10:48

dilli wasnt loads but wet my knickers and ran down my legs.

You certainly are allowed to just sit and watch Netflix and of course eat ALL the flapjack Grin have you seen Stranger Things on Netflix I highly recommend

foxessocks · 05/09/2016 11:14

Thanks for your well wishes ! I have no idea what's going on and I'm feeling really fed up now. I seem to have about ten contractions in a row that are 6 minutes apart but not as painful then ten in a row that are ten minutes apart and really very painful. They haven't stopped at all since 4.30 am just some hurt less than others. My mum has picked up dd and taken her back to her house so now me and dh are just sitting around confused about what to do next!!

I've managed to postpone my food delivery from this evening after speaking to a lovely man at sainsburys so now that isn't coming I'll probably still be at home tonight with no food in the house Hmm I don't have milk to make tea even!

foxessocks · 05/09/2016 11:16

I don't know whether it's worth going to the hospital to be examined just to find out if anything is even happening?! Or maybe that will be too depressing.

MillieMoodle · 05/09/2016 11:43

Jen at least if you're checked out you'll know one way or another! Hopefully it was your waters going, albeit slowly.

Foxes if you're not sure what's going on, then I'd go and be checked out. At the very least they will check baby is still happy in there.

Crepe I recommend carrying on lazing! I've just cleaned the sink and shower and now am having to recover with some chocolate and a cuppa. Will clean the loo and the floor later on, once my back has recovered. *

Ohido I really didn't want DS to be an only child like me, but I also really want him to be close to his brother or sister. DH and his sister aren't close at all and I find it strange! I don't really get the sibling dynamics either. My mum and her sisters are all in their sixties, they bicker like they're kids but no one else can say a word against them! I suppose every family is different, I am just really keen for DS and his sibling to be close but haven't a clue how to make that happen!

Dilli* enjoy your first day off, you sound like you've been more productive this morning than I have in the last 4 weeks!

DH has told me to relax today, in case it makes the baby arrive. I'm torn between doing nothing and seeing if it works, and doing loads and seeing if that works! Baby is wriggling around but no real aches or pains.

foxessocks · 05/09/2016 11:50

You're right maybe i should go in. I feel like I'm wasting everyone's time! The baby is moving around so I'm sure he is okay but I would like to know for sure.

I'm just having a bath now while dh has gone to the shop for some supplies. Just has a proper cry because dd left all of about 30 minutes ago and I miss her and got cross with my dh because he keeps trying to assess my pain and compare it to last time . He has apologised now and said he just doesn't know how to help. I'm just very emotional I think!!

spacepoodle · 05/09/2016 12:11

Good luck, foxes. Sounds like it's a good idea to get checked out. Hopefully baby will be here very soon!

MillieMoodle · 05/09/2016 12:20

Yes agree you should go in, if nothing else it will put your mind at ease.
Not the same but I had reduced movement around 26 weeks and went into the maternity day unit. They checked me over and said baby was fine. I felt awful for wasting their time but they said they would much rather see me and check baby is happy in there. They were really lovely and I wasn't made to feel like I was wasting anyone's time at all.

Even if you're not in labour yet, they should check baby is happy and comfortable. And they should be able to check whether your cervix is dilating as well. Good luck Flowers

Jenjen85 · 05/09/2016 12:50

Iv developed a weird flashing light in my vision (similar to migraine flashes) just used Dr Google stupidly and iv scared myself with outcomes. Looking towards pre eclampsia but hoping its not. Getting ready to go and drop DD off at my mums so i can go to my appointment at 1.30

foxessocks · 05/09/2016 12:57

Oh Jen don't panic at least you're going to the hospital so in the right place. Hope you're okay.

I'm also off to the hospital now to be checked.. spoke to a different midwife this time who really made me feel like it was a waste of time me coming Sad so not looking forward to going and seeing her.

MillieMoodle · 05/09/2016 13:18

Good luck Jen and foxes. Hope all is well for you both. Flowers

I'm off to finish cleaning the bathroom before collecting DS from school. How can the time go by so quickly?!

SockQueen · 05/09/2016 14:04

Good luck Jen and foxes! Things are really moving for some of our members now!

0hCrepe · 05/09/2016 14:05

Good luck both of you!
