38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Thanks all Grin can't quite believe he's 9lb 5oz. It did make my eyes water a bit.

Good luck to all who are still waiting, I hope your babies are with you soon!

Jen I hope you little one is on his or her way!

SockQueen · 13/09/2016 16:34

Congratulations Millie! Excellent news. I hope the radio silence from Jen is because something exciting is happening...

Nothing going on here, have been doing some IKEA flatpack building, and PIL came round to take me out for lunch, which at least made for a change of scenery!

Jenjen85 · 13/09/2016 18:03

Well i finally got taken over to the delivery suite at 11.30am, they broke my waters at 11.45am and the little fella arrived at 3.16pm weighing in at 8lb 6.5oz. He is just perfect. Will be allowed home tomorrow as i had diamorphene and still feel a bit spaced out

0hCrepe · 13/09/2016 18:14

Yey!!!! So pleased for you! Flowers

Goldenvalley · 13/09/2016 18:27

Well done Jen! Brilliant news! When you've recovered I'd love to hear what you thought of the diamorphine, I'm scared to take it in case it makes me sick! Enjoy your little boy and congrats again! BrewFlowers

MillieMoodle · 13/09/2016 18:56

Yay Jen, congratulations am so pleased for you! Bet you are so relieved to meet him!

We are in hospital for tonight as he is not feeding very well. All he wants to do is sleep bless him. Will be glad to get home tomorrow!

Jenjen85 · 13/09/2016 21:21

Aww millie just realised our boys share a birthday Grin

All as my boy wants to do is feed Hmm managing to breastfeed too which im pleased about. Already had 4 feeds

Jenjen85 · 13/09/2016 21:24

golden apparently theres something in diamorphine that is an anti sickness. It makes you feel a bit spacey and im now feeling sleepy but it does help. Had it with DD too as found it good then too. If you want to use the pool though you cant have it well you can but you have to get out the pool for an hour i think the midwife said.

I was surprised that i was allowed on the mudwife led unit and had the most lovely midwife she helped me so much

Dilligufdarling · 13/09/2016 22:16

Congratulations to the new mum's!! Thought it was about time I checked in to see how everyone was getting on #and very pleased to see babies have been born! Hope you're all coping in this heat .

Ds is 9 days old today I can't believe it. He is making me bloody hot breastfeeding in this weather though!

Loobylou873 · 14/09/2016 07:01

Hi Ladies,
Massive congrats Jen! That must have been so tough being stuck in hospital with nothing happening, but so pleased you have you gorgeous baby in your arms.
Our little girl arrived in rather a hurry on the 12th. Only took 2.5 hours after arriving at hospital and officially labour was 19 minutes! Home that evening and all good.
Good luck to everyone else and hope you're coping with the heat

Jenjen85 · 14/09/2016 09:40

Congratulations looby another quick labour just what we like to hear.

Theres been an influx of deliveries these past few days. Well done to us Grin

Hoping to go home today (this morning) nothing like your own bed to nap in.

Good luck to all the ladies who are yet to have their babies

Annarose2014 · 14/09/2016 11:41

39+3 and just been to MW but nothing happening at all. Dammit!

Head isn't even engaged!

So next step is doctor next Wednesday for a sweep. Seems like a lifetime away! (Yes, I'm getting a bit dramatic at this stage Wink )

MillieMoodle · 14/09/2016 13:47

Congratulations Looby! Wow 19 minutes, that was a quick one!

We have just got home from the hospital and looking forward to putting my feet up as am exhausted. DH is off to the football tonight Hmm!

Dilligufdarling · 14/09/2016 15:33

SockQueen · 14/09/2016 16:03

Congratulations looby! Super speedy!

Hope everyone else isn't melting too much in this heat.

Dilligufdarling · 15/09/2016 03:48

Urgh sock definitely am melting here!
Anyone else getting horrendous drenching night sweats???
It's so grim! DS just woke me up and the whole right side of my body is like I've had a bath! ConfusedConfusedConfusedBlush
So gross.

Jenjen85 · 15/09/2016 09:05

Urgh yes totally with you on the sweating front. Just done our first nursery run this morning and im dripping Blush

First night home was a sucess, bit unsettled until 2.30am but slept from then till 6.30 Shock

Hope all you ladies with new babies are managing some sleep

0hCrepe · 15/09/2016 10:15

Yes I've been so sweaty a few times have actually wondered if my waters had gone! That doesn't usually give you sweaty under boob though eh?
Saw dr this morning. I'm 39+5. She did an exam and sweep etc. Cervix tiny bit open about 1.5 and she rummaged around quite a bit. Said it wasn't too unfavourable. Think she expects mucus plug to go now and am bleeding a bit. Booked in for a week's time for induction as I'd prefer to go naturally before then but don't want to leave it too long and take risks. Currently on gym ball trying to maximise on sweep!
Still can't really believe there will be a baby with me soon!

Dilligufdarling · 15/09/2016 16:03

Argh the under boobs! I'm not used to having under boobs. They "flop" about these days.... Confused

Have just picked up DS from his first day at school. The hormones we're going mad at drop off earlier and I was very glad of my enormous black sunglasses!

Fingers crossed your sweep gets things going crepe!

For those that know (I can't remember) is there an obvious difference between general cervical mucus and the mucus plug?

4 hours sleep jen that's amazing!!

Annarose2014 · 15/09/2016 16:22

I remember the mucus plug being really obvious as it was like a massive snot in your knickers. Bleeeuuurgh.

I really don't know if I'm being paranoid. Probably. But lots of sharp needle type pains in vagina and general groin. Absolutely exhausting and walking is out of the question.

I really don't want to go until after the weekend as my childcare has trotted off 100 miles away until Saturday as "you're definitely not going to go this week, I can feel it" Hmm

But now all these pains have started and I'm like Oh Shit! And to add a complication, DS is poorly at the moment with a virus and will likely be poorly for the next few days.

So to say it would be inconvenient is an understatement! Google tells me that these "lightening crotch" pains can last for a couple of weeks for some people so am clinging desperately onto that. And keeping my legs crossed until Monday!

Jenjen85 · 15/09/2016 19:47

Dilli i thought id lost my mucus plug at 39 weeks but when i was being induced i LOST my mucus plug Shock it was huge!!!!!! Hope DS had a good first day at nursery and you were ok?

Anna i had quite a lot of lightening critch and always thought ooooh this is it but never turned into anything. Hope you manage to hold on until your chikdcare comes back

Dilligufdarling · 15/09/2016 20:48

Ah thanks jen and anna, so I guess it's no something you can confuse really then!

Fingers crossed for you anna that you're hangs on in there until your childcare gets back!
