38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Oh no sorry she couldn't do your sweep. I feel like i may still be here being induced on Friday! Yes really fed up but somehow managed to get free tv so watching a bit of that to pass the time and brows baby name sites for inspiration on names. DH is fed up now and getting a bit restless bless him

MillieMoodle · 12/09/2016 14:42

I think DH is still hoping baby will come of its own accord but I am really not convinced. Just want it to be Friday now as I don't like being in limbo!

We've got chilli for dinner, not quite curry but maybe the spices will do something. Feeling a bit fed up now. At least my mum brought cream cakes when she came over Grin

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 15:29

Just been assessed an im a good 3cm dialated just waiting in a queue to go to labour ward to have my waters broken.

Oooh millie cream cakes sound good. My dad has promised to make me a strawberry tart when im home Grin

MillieMoodle · 12/09/2016 16:02

Yay for some progress Jen! Hope waters breaking goes well and you don't have to wait too long.

I am bouncing on my ball, much to DS's amusement. Midwife said baby was really low down, but so was DS so it doesn't mean anything when it comes to me!

Dilligufdarling · 12/09/2016 17:20

Ooooh good luck space! Although he might well be already out by now I guess!

jen hope you've had a bit of progress.

millie you might be surprised - Friday is quite a while off in baby terms - anything could happen!

I went to the local (enormous) tescoes near us today and felt quite odd waking about, sort of crampy bruisy feelings which did give me a bit of a wonder. Nothing since though so maybe o just am allergic to tescoes!

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 17:23

Not on labour ward yet as still in the queue but having regular pains and been given the wonderful medicine that is paracetamol Hmm

space i hope your currently having newborn cuddles Grin

Dilligufdarling · 12/09/2016 17:30

Ha! Paracetamol! Amazing....
All of the wonders of modern medicine!

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 21:26

Still waiting to go to delivery suite to have my waters broken. There are a coupke of high risk ladies so they dont want to take me down just yet. Could be the middle of the night midwife just said Sad looki g more likely that baby will be born on 13th now.

Hows everyone else getting on?

Goldenvalley · 12/09/2016 22:00

Bloody hell Jen, you must be so frustrated. Is your DH with you overnight tonight?

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 22:06

DH is going to stay as midwife said it could be anytime. Only 3 ladies including me in tonight so not too bad. Just frustrating as Dr said they will break my waters at 4.30pm so been waiting ages

Dilligufdarling · 12/09/2016 22:33

jen are you on a ward or does your hospital have separate rooms?
I Imagine you'd get better sleep in your own room.
Am so glad DH can stay there with you.

Maybe an odd question, but do they do water breaking in the middle of the night? For some reason I assumed it would be day time only... No idea why that would be the case really!

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 22:38

dilli im on a small ward with 6 beds only 4 are occupied tho, tgey dont have private rooms for induction. They do inductions upto 11pm i think as a lady has just come in at 10pm to start the induction process. Yes they can break your waters anytime so looks like ill be in for a long night. Managed a small nap before but dont feel tired now.

Goldenvalley · 12/09/2016 22:42

How is the pain?

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 22:47

None existent at the minute all pains have now gone Sad im wondering if the pain was from her removing the propess and having a root about

Jenjen85 · 12/09/2016 22:48

I reckon if id have gone to delivery at 5pm id have had him out by now

Dilligufdarling · 13/09/2016 05:20

Oh you poor thing! You must be so very bored/frustrated!!
Hope things have either kicked off for you or you've managed to get some rest.

Goldenvalley · 13/09/2016 05:51

Morning everyone. Jen, I hope things are going well and that you had a good night. I've woken up with major back and hip ache, such a design flaw that when you most need your sleep (and right before you're not going to be getting any once baby arrives) it becomes impossible to get comfortable!

Jenjen85 · 13/09/2016 06:20

The start of day 3 in the big hospital house said in the big brother house voice

Morning well i STILL dont have a baby in my arms Angry. Not been to have my waters broken yet as there were too many high risk women in last night and not enough staff. TMI but just lost what looked like all of my mucus plug then some just now. Midwife said it was a good thing and will hopefully help me on my way. Still no pains they just seemed to die off yesterday.

Last night the woman that came onto the induction ward at 10pm was rushed out around 3am almost having her baby, full on alarms going off and people rushing in so sleep was crap coupled with being woken ever 4hrs for obs to be done.

Really hoping that i can get this baby out today 13 days overdue now. Missing my DD as not seen her since sunday Sad

golden you have my sympathies with your back/hip its awful isnt it. Everytime i put my right foot down to walk now my back/hip clicks. Feel like im 90 not 31

Goldenvalley · 13/09/2016 06:47

Well today's the day, Jen, your baby will surely be here by the end of today - that's bloody exciting (if you've got any energy left after last night's crap sleep to be excited). Not surprised you're missing your DC, it's one of the (many) things I'm a bit anxious about this time round. It'll be so lovely when you see her now though, and when she meets her new little brother or sister. I really hope after all this waiting you have a lovely, quick labour - you deserve it!

0hCrepe · 13/09/2016 07:42

Had to check how you were getting in as soon as I woke up Jen! Sorry to hear you didn't get your waters broken in the night but sounds like things are starting to happen and all systems go today!

MillieMoodle · 13/09/2016 07:55

Morning all

Jen I've got everything crossed that you'll have your baby by the end of today. You must be exhausted and so fed up Flowers

Well I don't know what the midwife did yesterday afternoon but my contractions started around 6pm and our beautiful little boy was born around 2.40am this morning, weighing 9lbs 5oz Shock DH was sent home around 4am while they stitched me up and I'm now trying to rest a bit before they decide whether to send me home later or not.

Jenjen85 · 13/09/2016 07:59

Congratulations millie i knew you'd have baby before i did Smile hope you manage to get home today!

Fed up is an enderstatement Sad

0hCrepe · 13/09/2016 08:20

Wow Millie congratulations!
I reckon it was the cream cakes, I'd better stock up!

Dilligufdarling · 13/09/2016 09:14

Yay!! Congratulations millie!
9.5???? That's very impressive ShockShock

Hope you're feeling ok and can get home soon.

jen I'm sure things will get going for you this morning. I've got everything crossed for you!

Goldenvalley · 13/09/2016 09:16

Congratulations Millie! Wonderful news BrewFlowers
