38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Jen I love pulled pork! We have a cafe at my work and the chef does the most amazing pulled pork. We had roast chicken but I did the cheats way with frozen roast potatoes and frozen everything else. We have no chocolate as DH ate the last of my malteasers this morning Angry

I am desperate to avoid an epidural as well. I really hate needles and the though of one going into my back makes me feel ill. I'm looking forward to the gas and air though, it's cracking stuff!

Sock happy anniversary, am now craving scones and jam and cream. Mmm! I'm glad I'm not a doctor, besides being such a difficult job, I'm not sure I'd want to know the medical ins and outs of pregnancy/childbirth/induction. I'm going for ignorance being bliss!

Not much to report here, a few crampy feelings but I think it's just my bump being low; I think by the end of the day my hips and pelvis are just fed up of the weight of it.

Jenjen85 · 10/09/2016 21:12

I couldn't fit any chocolate in as i was stuffed from the pulled pork. Might have to just take it to hospital tomorrow Grin My DH knows better than to eat my chocolate ha ha

millie theres nothing wrong with cheating i do it sometimes all the time too

Iv got backache still but apart from that nothing. Just got into bed trying not to think about tomorrow Shock hoping i manage a good nights sleep but i can see me waking up loads

MillieMoodle · 10/09/2016 21:42

Aw Jen I hope you manage to get a decent night's sleep. Good luck for tomorrow in case you don't have a chance to update us before you go in. Hope all goes well and your little one arrives quickly! Looking forward to your baby update!

Jenjen85 · 10/09/2016 22:05

Thanks millie will try and keep you all updated throughout the day if i can.

Currently lay in bed discussing baby names with DH as still not decided on any Confused

MillieMoodle · 10/09/2016 22:19

We've not decided yet either. We've barely even discussed it this time round!

0hCrepe · 10/09/2016 23:28

Good luck tomorrow Jen! Sleep well.

Womenareliketeabags · 11/09/2016 08:27

Morning everyone!

Good luck today Jen hope everything goes smoothly and quickly no we get a baby update soon

41 weeks today for me, had loads of tightenings and pains last night, went to bed convinced I would wake up in labour so when I woke up this morning and nothing had happened I just sobbed again! Decided I was going to spend all day in bed hiding until DH arrived and gave me a talking to and got me to agree to get up. Another sweep this afternoon, maybe there is hope.

Womenareliketeabags · 11/09/2016 08:28

That should say smoothly and quickly so we

MillieMoodle · 11/09/2016 08:44

Morning all, 41+1 today.

Good luck for today Jen!

Nothing to report here really. Have been a bit achey and mild cramps this morning but I don't think anything's happening. I've felt like this every morning for the last week or so.

We have put the hospital bag in DH's car boot now, as we live quite rurally and I'd hate to go into labour whilst we're out and about in town but then have to go home for the bag!

Out for lunch today as it's one of DH's relative's birthdays. Am steeling myself for the questions about why baby isn't here yet and have I tried X, y or z. Will try not to sound too pissed off in my response!

Jenjen85 · 11/09/2016 08:44

Morning eeeek its induction day! Been awake since 6.30am. Hoping by the end of the day there will be a baby in my arms Grin

women iv had several nights like that and know how disheartening it is not waking up in labour. Hopefully your sweep today will help

Jenjen85 · 11/09/2016 13:22

So arrived at the hospital straight onto a monitor and the propess in. Just a waiting game now

Loobylou873 · 11/09/2016 14:23

Jenjen85 · 11/09/2016 17:18

Nothing at all going on here Sad will be checked in 24hrs (from propess going in) midwife was suprised that nothings happend as she said my cervix was good

Loobylou873 · 11/09/2016 17:25

Bloody cervix's hey?! They're a mystery....!

MillieMoodle · 11/09/2016 17:28

Aw bless you Jen.

When I had DS, I had nothing happen for 8.5 hours but when my contractions started they were every couple of minutes from the start. Have got everything crossed for you that it starts happening soon Flowers

Goldenvalley · 11/09/2016 19:20

Hope things are progressing well Jen Flowers

Jenjen85 · 11/09/2016 19:34

Still nothing happening here Sad hoping something happens overnight but i cant see it to be honest.

Hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday. millie how was lunch? Did you get lots of questions?

MillieMoodle · 11/09/2016 20:17

Aw Jen hope you get a decent night's sleep if nothing else. Will they let DH stay with you? I seem to remember mine got sent home around midnight and I summoned him back at 8am.

Lunch itself was lovely thanks Smile. I've been told to make sure the baby is here by Friday as MIL wants cuddles before they go on holiday on Sunday. Tbh even if baby is here Friday/Saturday I doubt I'll be up for PILs visiting. I just smiled and nodded.

Bump feels even lower this evening if that's possible and been having lots of BH but they are uncomfortable rather than painful. Online shopping has been delivery so we have food for the week, so I can relax a bit. I think DH was quietly wondering why I have bought enough biscuits to feed the army but decided against questioning it! But my thinking was that I like biscuits if I am in hospital, he won't cook so he will want snacky stuff to eat.

Have got midwife tomorrow and another go at a sweep but I'm not sure what time as she hasn't let me know yet. They are very much text and turn up round here!

Jenjen85 · 11/09/2016 20:23

Yes millie DH is allowed to stay but hes debating going home as nothings happening but im worried if something happens in the night he'll miss it.

Well you need to pull your finger out millie if MIL wants a cuddle before she goes away Grin its all about her dont you know Grin

Snap on the biscuit front think i picked up 4 packets Hmm obviously for when i return from hospital and visitors i want some

MillieMoodle · 11/09/2016 20:34

How far do you live from the hospital? When I had DS, we were about 5 minutes away so it was no problem for DH to get back sharpish if needed. He also popped home to feed our rabbits while I was in labour as we didn't have anyone else to do it! This time we are 20mins or so from the hospital in good traffic, over 30 mins if its rush hour so I won't want him going home unless it's absolutely necessary. Although I don't think partners are allowed to stay here anyway, I need to find out (different hospital from where I had DS). Will he have somewhere to sleep if he stays or will he have to sleep in a chair?

Yes of course the baby is all about everyone else! I wouldn't mind if I thought PILs were going to care once the novelty has worn off, but we hardly ever see them and they couldn't be less interested in DS so I certainly won't be putting myself out for (some) visitors.

I hadn't even thought about getting biscuits in for visitors. They should be bringing biscuits to us shouldn't they?! Anyway, I'd be very surprised if our current biscuit supply lasts until I'm back from the hospital!

About to make a cup of tea and have a biscuit do some bouncing on my ball to see if it does anything useful Grin

Jenjen85 · 11/09/2016 20:48

DH could be back at the hospital in around 15mins if anything happened. There is a chair that he could sleep on next to my uncomfy bed.

Oh yeah visitors should be bringing us cake and biscuits. Sod my stash ill eat them all myself instead Grin

MillieMoodle · 11/09/2016 21:10

It's a tricky one. I suppose the traffic will be quieter than usual if he goes home and needs to get back to you quickly, plus he'll probably be more use to you tomorrow if he's had a decent night's sleep. On the other hand, you'll probably relax more and sleep better knowing he's there if things start happening, and baby is more likely to get a wriggle on if you're as relaxed as possible. Sorry am not much use in helping you decide! Sometimes it's easier when the hospital doesn't allow it as the decision is taken out of your hands!

I am now worrying that I'll go into labour on Wednesday when DH is going to the football. That would make things very stressful! PIL also told me earlier not to have the baby until Thursday at the earliest (as he's going to the football too and doesn't want his plans disrupted Hmm).

You would think in all the years women have been having babies, someone would have come up with an accurate way of predicting the actual date on which the baby will arrive!
