38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Just been to collect DD and she had a fantastic time. The teacher said shes settled right in. I have no idea why i was so upset this morning but im definitely blaming pregnancy hormones as i know she is fine at nursery. I even got 3 pictures what the hell am i guna do with all of them its only her first day iv got 2yrs of this

foxessocks · 07/09/2016 12:46

Yay Jen glad she has a good time! My dd starts Friday I'm going to be an emotional wreck too!

Hope your babies all come soon!

MillieMoodle · 07/09/2016 16:03

Jen so glad your DD enjoyed pre-school! I found it such a relief when DS used to skip in happily. I'd much rather that than having to leave a crying, anxious child.

Saw my chiropractor today and she sorted out my back, hips and pelvis. When I picked DS up from school his teacher said his writing has been lovely this year, his behaviour very good and he seems much more grown up this year. Only three days into the school year, but I am so proud at the moment! Grin

Dilligufdarling · 07/09/2016 16:32

That's such good news jen Smile
We've got a visit from one of ds's teachers tomorrow - apparently that's a thing nowadays! Feel for the teachers if they have to visit every child's home before term starts!

Had the most horrendous sharp pain this morning when I tried to use my stomach muscles (stupidly!) to sit up on the bed. Really thought I'd toe. Something!

Had my mw this morning and all is looking good though, the exact place it hurt is where the baby's head is. I've also started measuring marginally big for dates which is a first for this pregnancy. Looks like this one might be a late grower!
She also said she's seen really good results from hypnobirthing which is awesome.

Can definitely recommend pregnancy massage, although they're not allowed to use as much pressure as I like. Something to do with blood pressure.

How's everyone else feeling at the moment? Absolutely fabulous weather in my area today! Have been playing now with buckets of water with DS Grin

Jenjen85 · 07/09/2016 17:12

Oh millie such lovely news to hear only 3 days into the school year! What a star.

dilli iv done something similar before and it really hurts doesn't it. Glad everythings ok and you had a lovely massage. I could do with one right now im very achy. Are you going for growth scans? Iv had 3 in the pregnancy as baby has super long legs Shock so iv been measuring big since around 34 weeks

Feeling ok after my emotional morning, bit tired but think that's the weather as very warm here today. Was showing as 26 degrees before.

Dilligufdarling · 07/09/2016 17:26

jen bloody does hurt!

I have had growth scans, but for different reasons. I had quite a large bleed at 11 weeks which means they like to then keep tabs on the placenta function, so including a private one I've had 6 scans this time I think.

Glad you're feeling better now. Really hot day and can certainly make you feel more tired/weepy.

0hCrepe · 07/09/2016 17:45

I feel really wiped out. Napped 11.30-1.30 and could have another! Feeling very hot and full. I'm definitely someone who the less I do the less I feel inclined to do!

Loobylou873 · 07/09/2016 18:22

Evening ladies. Glad all your little people are being such stars. Had my first sweep today - was 1cm dilated and she had a good shofty around so fingers crossed that kicks things into gear. Think I might feel a bit crampy but could just be wishful thinking. My plan is to do lots of bouncing on gym ball in front of bake off tonight 🍰

Womenareliketeabags · 07/09/2016 18:25

I'll be joining you with that one looby. Gonna go shower in a bit and get my jammies on, out DS to bed and then settle in for a night of bouncing and yummy bread making.

I know they say sweeps can take up to 48 hours to be effective but do they really? It's now 28 hours since mine, are my chances out?

Jenjen85 · 07/09/2016 18:33

woman iv had 2 sweeps and they've still not worked sorry. I did read it can take 48hrs too so you might still be in with a chance. Im asking for a 3rd tomorrow in the hope it starts something before the dreaded induction on Sunday.

Iv been to tesco and bought cream cakes as a treat to eat whilst watching bake off. Ill be joining you looby on my ball too

Loobylou873 · 07/09/2016 18:40

With my first, sweep worked a treat. Had it on the 27th and had baby in my arms on the 28th. I think my cervix was quite favourable (vom!) today so I'm going to be soooooo disappointed if baby's not here tomrorrow!

spacepoodle · 07/09/2016 18:51

Fingers crossed for some movement after all those sweeps!

Had my scan today and baby has grown loads. He is estimated at 8lb 7oz already. Placenta and baby look fine, the problem is the huge amount of amniotic fluid I have. Normal range at this point appears to be between 6 and 15cm but mine is at 44cm! I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios and sent to be assessed where all they did was check blood pressure and take bloods for testing. The midwives didn't seem overly concerned but said they'll need to see if baby has any problems swallowing when he's born. The thought of him having tubes inserted into his throat made me feel a bit weepy Sad I'm trying not to worry.

I'm booked in for a c-section on Monday so hopefully everything goes okay.

TheInimitableMrsFanshawe · 07/09/2016 19:00

Evenin' all. 39+6 today and saw MW. Said head was so low she couldn't even feel it (whoop whoop!). Dh has decided that he absolutely must pick up his eBay bargain rowing machine this evening, an hour away Hmm

I love that in an hours time there's going to be heavily pregnant mumsnetters up and down the country sat on boucing balls watching GBBO stuffing their faces with cake (maybe just me for the last bit. . .?!)

Dilligufdarling · 07/09/2016 19:11

space that sounds so worrying Confused I don't know much about that condition at all.
Really hope all is well for you. If the midwives aren't too concerned then that has to be a good sign.

woman and looby I had a sweep with my DS and I'm afraid it did nothing at all. The midwife did say then that I was 2 cm dilated at the time, but I then went for another 4 days! (Sorry...)

Jenjen85 · 07/09/2016 19:25

oh trust me my face will be full of cake Grin

space im sure everything will be fine. Good luck for Monday

Womenareliketeabags · 07/09/2016 20:00

I've got raspberry and coconut pudding with cream and ice cream to stuff my face with!

MillieMoodle · 07/09/2016 20:16

I've just managed to get DS to bed, now bouncing on my ball watching bake off. Caught DH scoffing a Twirl in the kitchen! He swore blind he wasn't eating anything but his cheeks were all puffed up like a hamster so he had to admit it. I only bought them earlier on not to share and he's found them! So I'm about to have a cup of tea and a Twirl. And maybe some M&Ms. Which I may or may not share with him.

Jenjen85 · 07/09/2016 20:20

Iv just had a cream slice it was yummy Grin GBBO always makes he hungry ha ha

Loobylou873 · 07/09/2016 20:34

Bouncing was just so tiring so am now horizontal with massive bar of fruit and nut and a cuppa. I think I hate and love Paul Hollywood in equal measures - such a bastard but quite sexy

Womenareliketeabags · 07/09/2016 21:09

Too much pudding and made myself feel sicky! Blergh. Early night for me I think.

MillieMoodle · 07/09/2016 21:16

I bounced while gbbo was on, now sitting on sofa as it's more comfy.

Have been a bit uncomfortable again as baby's head is so low. Midwife tomorrow and hoping she can do a sweep. I had two attempts at a sweep with DS but midwife couldn't reach my cervix. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Jenjen85 · 07/09/2016 21:18

Bouncing on my ball makes me feel like i need a poo all the time Hmm

Iv just got into bed to watch tv. What exciting lives us pregnant women live Grin

Praying the midwives will give me another sweep tomorrow and that kick starts it

Loobylou873 · 08/09/2016 08:16

Any twinges this morning ladies? Any cramps I had have now gone 😔. I had the most horrendous dream last night that I'd had baby and decided to leave it under the tree at the bottom of the garden whilst it slept....... Then completely forgot about it and left it in the garden, unfed, overnight!! Holy moly ! Woke up in a right panic, maybe baby should stay put for now if I'm going to be so irresponsible??!!

Jenjen85 · 08/09/2016 08:21

Morning ladies.

looby pregnancy dreams are the worst. Iv dreamt a couple of times iv given birth on the loo Hmm

No twinges or any other signs here. Hoping they will let me have another sweep today. Woke up at 5.45am so im feelibg really tired and think im starting with another headache Sad
