I've told my OH that I can't clean the bathroom as the bleach is bad for baby... So great as it was my worst job!!

More spotting today, lower back pain too. I know that's a sign of MC but trying to be positive and hope the back pain is unrelated. Off to a bbq with friends today some of whom know I'm pg, I just wish the spotting would 100% stop so I can be positive.

HopefulKate1980 · 27/08/2016 13:07

Found you!!! Yeah! Will catch up now.

Off to Pembrokeshire for weekend.

Xxx

Just checking in to say hello. Nothing new going on! Just trying to think of names and wrote a little short list of 5 for boy and 5 for girl, partner hates them all. He was like this with the others aswel and whenever I asked him, he'd say "I don't know" or come up with silly names which makes me mad! I had names lined up before my mc's and he agreed with those but they were for my lost babies so I don't feel I can use them now? I'm not choosing crazy names so it drives me mad how he says no to every single one!

Haha lynsey, DH hates all the names I like too and puts forward things like Kaitlyn (sp?) Hmm We had a rare stroke of luck with DD's name coming across one that worked for both of us. I have a favourite this time but I absolutely cannot use it. It is the name of two separate friend's daughters, both of whom died as babies - one in late pg, one in NICU. It's beautiful and unusual, but would be utterly unfair and cruel to use so I won't. But I will always love it. Dreading name chosing tbh.

doleritedinosaur · 27/08/2016 13:49

Hope the spotting stops for you soon Jpeg.

Aww Pembrokeshire is lovely Hopeful, have you have a good time! We're going in 2 weeks & I can't wait.

We've already had several name disagreements Lynsey so I know how you feel. OH says the lost ridiculous names & it drives me mad. Luckily we have the first names so it's just middle names.
If you don't feel you can use those names then you don't have to. Whatever fits with you.

Nausea is still here today so I'm sucking on kola cubes & trying to eat to keep it at bay but don't want to put any more weight on.
Also trying to keep busy as dog sitting & having an eBay session.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Aww Mrs, it really could be for a number of reasons. Is it light?
When's your next scan or tests?

LynseyH · 27/08/2016 14:53

In the hour since I posted last, I had a chat with him about how he felt using the names we'd chosen before and he feels it would be ok. He suggested quite a while back it'd be like using the name in memory almost? I wasn't sure but then I love the names and as we'll never know if my lost babies were boys or girls, it does seem more positive to use them than not. Sooooo....I think we are going to use them. I have made a slight change already though!!
Changed the spelling of the girl name and middle name of the boys. I like to make the middle name mean something, so I've chosen my grandads name. Feel so much happier now as it's such a huge responsibility to give someone a name that they'll always have to live with!

butterfly It's such a shame you can't have the name you'd love but I totally get why you won't. There is literally no way round it either. Kaitlyn is a nice enough name but not one I'd choose! Still better than the suggestions I get, Igor, Harold, Herman Shock he's not serious obviously but makes me get really annoyed! If he says no to all of mine, he should have an idea of what he'd want!

Oh dino I do hope you feel better soon. Apart from the obvious reasons of anxieties that now accompany pregnancy, the side effects are a huge reason I'm not doing it again after this one! Glad you've got you most important part of the names sorted! Is there anyone in your family (past or present) you'd like to name baby after for babies middle name? My eldest has my Dad's name, middle son has my partners brothers name (he sadly passed away) and youngest has my partners name. This one will have either my mums name as it's also my middle name or my grandads.

I hope the epu will see you Mrs!

DH and I are awful at choosing names. Dh likes names like 'Summer' and 'Autumn' which aren't my cup of tea. I love unusual names and traditional names but we can never agree. With dd we got lucky, we had chosen 2 names for a girl and couldn't agree on any for a boy. Then two days before I went into labour someone named their dd one of the names we liked but spelled it in a strange way. Think 'Jamie' spelled 'Jaiymiee'. It sent me into a proper pregnant lady meltdown and I decided I hated both names. We ended up going back to a name wed both liked earlier but had discounted in case people assumed we'd named her after a famous sitcom character. This time we have a few ideas but I'm waiting until much further down the line before we enter into discussions. I'll change my mind and dh will come out with stupid names.

LynseyH · 27/08/2016 15:52

Does seem a pattern that our other halves are rubbish at names! The middle name for a boy I have is a foreign name so it'll be a constant need to spell it but I'm so happy with the decision. It'll be no different to constantly having to spell my name as people always want to add in 'i' 'd' and 'a'. Mine is the simplest spelling but least common I think.

Will be checking in on you mrs. Will your husband be able to come with you now?

OP posts:
doleritedinosaur · 27/08/2016 15:57

Glad they can see your Mrs, fingers crossed everything is okay.

Not to discount anyone else's choices but I hate the whole naming after someone, I respect people's choices but I prefer to give them their own name.
My Dad's family, all the males have the same middle name, so my Dad & brother's do but I like choosing non typical, not normal baby name of the year probably because there was 8 of us in my school year with the same middle name.

I did have a meltdown when 22 weeks pregnant with DS that he had no name & all of OH's names made him seem like he hated the baby.
My middle name then became first name & it got easier from there.
DS's names actually all mean something linked up together & are Celtic, Irish & Welsh so link to his roots.

This one doesn't get that luxury so much haha.
I really want Ariel for a middle name but OH doesn't know if it goes.
It's really hard as I do hate my name, I have nicknames & go by those. Neither of my parents will admit to who named me either.

Whatser why do they do the stupid name thing? OH said jeremiah the other day.

The side affects are just something else aren't they Lynsey? At least I know the nausea can last all pregnancy so not too bad. I had the anti sickness shots & tablets with DS so I'm glad it's not that bad.

LynseyH · 27/08/2016 16:16

My boys all have their own first names, as I wanted non typical names but nothing too out there. I just liked the idea of them also having a middle name that means something to us personally.
Completely get your view in it aswel though! I've never heard of a family all sharing a name apart for the senior/junior thing which I've never liked.
I find the naming process has been quite annoying before due to everyone else saying they don't like what we were thinking or suggesting names we hated!

Anyway...I have a question about movements. Does it always start with the butterfly sensation? That's my previous experience but today and yesterday I've felt the occasional (but very slight) feeling of a little kick low down on my belly. Only feel it if I'm laying down but it's right where I find the heartbeat with my doppler?

OP posts:
LynseyH · 27/08/2016 16:18

Oh and yes dino the side affects are hideous! Can't say I've enjoyed it at all. Least my hair isn't getting as greasy as it was a few weeks ago!

tinkly That's great your Dad has the fight in him, my best wishes go to him and for a very speedy recovery.

Wow that sounds like a good price. I've not even thought about baby shopping yet. Waiting til we know what we're having and also to get to the 20 wk scan for extra reassurance. I bet you had a lovely time browsing and buying!

Hope everything is going well Mrs.

Names are just the hardest part well apart from the head crowning haha. I'm just hoping OH can agree without world war 3. I want Welsh in one part of name, girls is easy as first name is Welsh. Boys is harder as DS has the only I like haha.

You could be feeling kicks Lynsey, I've had butterfly movements when lying down really early this time. DS's first kicks were low down at 18 weeks & OH felt them.

That's really good about your Dad tinkly, fighter attitude always works well.

I love the Boots mini club stuff. Ive picked up loads for DS in various sales they have. The one in my hometown always had half price baby gros & clothes. They wash so well & are so colourful.
I'm saving up my points for the Boxing Day sale, which now happens Christmas Eve online.

I'm going to wait until December to go through the 0-6 months clothes box of DS's. Still have everything from DS mostly & I don't want a double buggy plus DS hated the pram so got a caboo my friend borrowed but I keep seeing cute baby gros online.

Hope everyone has a good evening. I'm on the countdown to bedtime.

LynseyH · 27/08/2016 18:31

I hope it is kicks I'm feeling! I've felt the flutter with all 3 boys and kicks came after but seems strange not to have any flutters as yet but feeling this little bumps/pops/kicks, whatever they are!

Ooh lots of name talk, gives this thread some lovely positivity. Too early for me to be thinking about that yet, but DH wants first name to start with K as ours and DD1's start with L,M,N - I'm thinking O might have more options if we're going to play by those kinds of crazy rules! jpeg, I've been having a bit of lower back pain, but no spotting, so putting it down to all the hormones and some bad posture, def many reasons other than mc for that I reckon! Mrs fx for you that you got some answers at EPU.
