Just catching up from today... mrs how are you?? Been thinking of you.

Lots of lovely names been mentioned!!

I've been at a bbq with some friends today, I don't know what but I just felt really depressed the whole day and didn't really enjoy myself. I guess it was awkward as half of my friends know I'm pg and the issues I've had so far so I think they were just not saying too much to me in case they upset me, but I just didn't feel myself. Ah well... Maybe that's hormones too!! Spotting seems to have stopped, haven't really felt sick today at all which is good and lots of tiny twinges so I'm hoping that's the little bean settling in!

Sorry if I've missed anyone... I'm exhausted! I'll read back through tomorrow!

BertieBotts · 28/08/2016 00:42

Lynsey We picked names last time and will use them again. They are secret though! We felt like the names were for living children and our last pregnancy (we felt) never got to that stage so we didn't attach the names to it directly. I think if it had been a late loss, we would have felt differently.

Oh, I love Boots baby stuff. Make sure you all do lots of vicarious shopping for me! Window shopping is fine! I'm sure there is lots of good German baby stuff too but I had my routine all mapped out last time with the shops I frequented Grin

BertieBotts · 28/08/2016 00:45

I have just found out Boots have clothing back on their website. Well that's me happy for the next few months then!

But has it all gone wrong? I don't remember them selling pink monstrosities with "Daddy's Princess" on them before Confused It was always a lovely riot of colour, no pastel pink or blue in sight!

doleritedinosaur · 28/08/2016 10:02

Morning everyone, hope you're all okay & hope you're okay Mrs.

I just had a look Bertie & I see what you mean. I'm actually disappointed as they've had lovely colourful clothing ranges in the past.
Hoping its because going from
Summer to winter & will bring out more.
Though I'm liking the penguin stuff.

Naschkatze · 28/08/2016 10:04

I had a quick look in Next's baby section yesterday, couldn't resist. Was very disappointed with all the pink and blue. There was very little in the way of gender neutral clothes. They had a few nice cream/yellow things but I'd really like some bright bold colours! I'm not ready to buy anything yet but maybe I need to have a look at Boots.

LynseyH · 28/08/2016 10:17

No idea what places have in at the moment but I found some gorgeous bright colours in George at asda! Can't moan at the prices there either.
I'm excited but not (if that makes sense) to buy baby things. Haven't even thought about it really and no motivation to do so yet either. This may or may not change when we found out if baby is a boy or girl tomorrow. Tomorrow!!!! Eeeek!!

Next used to have a lot of gender neutral clothes as most of DS's baby gros are. Seems to have disappeared now.

I'm almost relieved we don't need many clothes. I didn't like the baby blue or pink.

LynseyH · 28/08/2016 10:48

My favourite is pure white. Love it! My boys just always looked so fresh in them.
But the way, my previous comments about finding bright colours was based on when I bought for my now 3 year old!! Likely I'm very out of date now Blush

We've not heard from Mrsunsure123 since her EPU visit have we? I hope she's okay.

BertieBotts · 28/08/2016 11:15

Bright must not be the in thing any more. Very disappointing. H&M have some definite cute, unisex bits but not so many brights.

I find TK MAxx can be excellent if you don't mind rummaging.

M&S look like they are in a "good" cycle - I find they go from lovely clothes to horrible tacky things and back again. They have brights.

doleritedinosaur · 28/08/2016 12:07

I do like pure white, had some lovely ones from Next with some safari designs on them.
DS & White now doesn't go haha.

I forgot about TK Maxx, they've got a lovely unisex dinosaur set in there at the moment which I may get after 20 week scan. Their clearance section usually has the Aden & Anise Muslins which I love plus gorgeous blankets.

H&M's organic cotton range is good. I've never gotten on with M&S, keep hearing conflicting things.

No we haven't MissClarke, hope she's okay.

mrs good news you heard a heartbeat! That's a great sign. I hope they manage to sort the bleeding out asap. Been thinking of you.

MissClarke86 · 28/08/2016 13:38

Mrs that's fantastic news!

Breathe a sigh of relief. Ectropian cervixes are very common and nothing worrisome. I have one, found at a routine smear test. Hormones can irritate it and make it worse, though mine seems to have cleared up so it can go the other way too!

It will mean anything like sex will irritate it, but at least you know what it is and where it's coming from now. So pleased for you.

Whatsername17 · 28/08/2016 13:59

Mrs that's brilliant! I have ectropian cells too. Glad you and baby are okay x

LynseyH · 28/08/2016 14:00

So pleased all is ok for you mrs. Sitting there for hours isn't nice but totally worth it to now know everything is ok and going as planned!
I've had a walk to the shop with the kids, took less than an hour, but now I feel totally wiped out. Just set them up with a game to play and plonked myself on sofa. If I stay here a little while I might just muster enough energy to cook our bolognaise later!

Next look like they have a lot of bright stuff on their website, actually. Perhaps they just didn't have it on display in store?

Mrs that is great! Must be a relief to hear.

Whatsername17 · 28/08/2016 15:07

I need to find some maternity clothes suitable for work. All I want is some skater type dresses that go in under my bust and then flair out and that aren't flowery or spotty. Can I find anything? No! I don't do trousers. I like dresses, tights and boots. I'm not fashionable at the best of times. Frustrating.

XxbecquixX · 28/08/2016 15:10

Hya ladies, thinking of you Mrs.

All my children are named after people we love, good people, and we loved that idea.

Our eldest son was named by my sister so that was how it started, Charlie~Thomas.
Then our daughter was named after my oh mother who sadly passed, Eileen~Rose, then I decided to call our next child after my husband he's Freddie~Joseph, then when our next daughter was born I wanted to call her Laura~Jane after my sister, especially as she was our first blondy but my husband got on the phone to his dad and said we are calling her Rebecca~May after Bec lol
Then when it came to the baby I named him after my grandfather Frankie~Jon, his name was Frank but as the others all had double names I felt I had to add something lol
So there's 2 Freddie's and 2 Rebecca's in our home lol
If im lucky to make it all the way with this pg I like Mary~Anna or Percy for a boy!
We are both pretty old fashioned name wise, not everybody's choice!

jpeg28 · 28/08/2016 15:16

whatser have you tried ASOS? They have tons of great maternity dresses. I have already added loads to my favourites!

XxbecquixX · 28/08/2016 15:19

On the baby clothes front in very traditional, everything is either pink or blue lol Nothing with writing on though.
I do hate it though when you have a pink Pram and a baby dressed in pink covered in a pink shawl and somebody says "oh such a lovely baby, is it a boy or a girl" 😂😂😂😂

Whatsername17 · 28/08/2016 15:23

I've looked at asos and there are some things I like. I just get a little nervy when it comes to ordering online and sizes. I'm in a proper pregnant lady grump today. We went to a family Christening and it was a full mass and communion service. I'm not religious but I'm happy to sit respectfully and watch. The thing is though, the immediate family of the Christenee aren't religious. They laughed their way through it and mocked the rituals. They, for some reason, took the body and blood and then starting whispering about how 'it tasted like fucking shit'!! I feel like I gave up the best part of a Sunday and I'm not sure why. It obviously meant nothing to them and I felt sorry for the regular church goers. I might not believe, but I respect that they do.
