Yes I'm hoping to get past the milestone. In fact today is the same day if I count from when my last period was. If I count it from ovulation instead then I have a couple more days to go to get past that. I'm 5+2 or 5+4. I'm sticking with the earliest possible date as it's less nerve wracking that way. But it's nice to think I might be further along!

I would really love to see a heartbeat on an ultrasound, that would be amazing.

Sorry my brain is a bit mushy - is this DC1 for you jpeg or do you have older DC?

jpeg28 · 26/08/2016 21:03

DC1 for me bertie... First timer! I keep getting excited and planning ahead... Then I realise it could still all go wrong so I stop!
I would love to see a heartbeat too... Scan Tuesday so fingers x!

doleritedinosaur · 26/08/2016 21:03

Glad the spotting has stopped, jpeg & Bertie.

I cooked dinner, but baby did not agree with it so vomiting session followed by full enjoyment of a chocolate ice cream haha.

In bed now as DS has knackered me & he is fighting bed time which is so much fun.

Hope everyone is having a good evening.
& yes to naps, nap all you can because you can't afterwards.

XxbecquixX · 26/08/2016 21:11

Evening all!
Hya butterfly, my admiration and also heartache goes to you for all youve been through.

Bertie it's a common thing for ladies to experience spotting during or around the same time each month that their period would have been due, I bet that's what it's been with you. Google it xxx

Jpeg, and Bertie are you due in April too?

Whatsername17 · 26/08/2016 21:25

I'm suffering with sore bump too, Butterfly! Exactly as you have described. I'm 19 weeks today so wonder if it's the stage? I can't remember how I felt with dd! Hope you are okay jpeg and Bertie. Keep the faith! Xx

XxbecquixX · 26/08/2016 21:29

Would you say it was low down whatser?
Almost like a band at the bottom of your belly?

XxbecquixX · 26/08/2016 21:37

Read that ladies in pain lol
If it gets too uncomfortable it can be diagnosed as spd (synthesis pubis disorder)
you can buy a belt that helps.
I had it with my 10lb baby lol

Flowers bertie and jpeg

Glad I'm not the only one with terrible dreams. And yy to the stretching and pulling. I did get that with my first (successful) pg. Had to give up Zumba!

Whatsername17 · 26/08/2016 21:50

Yeah it's low. I can feel my uterus- it has really popped out. The midwife commented on how she could 'really feel my pregnancy' when she examined me. Little Miss has been kicking well today which has been lovely x

XxbecquixX · 26/08/2016 21:54

I love that feeling, or when they get really big and your whole belly moves over one side! Always freaks my other half out

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 26/08/2016 21:56

I am a bit jealous of all the movement you are getting whatser. I feel mine once or twice a day if I'm lucky and only when I'm lying still and looking for it. I really thought I'd be feeling loads by now. I wonder why.

XxbecquixX · 26/08/2016 22:11

You've probably got good stomach muscles butterfly.

FlourishingMrs · 26/08/2016 22:31

Gosh you ladies are quick to feel the thread.

JPEG and Bertie, if you find my earlier threads you will see I had spotting and brown stuff stoned 6-8 weeks. Nothing since and I am 27.4 weeks now.

XxBec yes I have a two vessels cord so thank you for the reassurance. Do you ladies think it's safe to start shopping now? I. Have been too cautious or is it self preservation? Bec you must write a baby book you have so much experience.

BertieBotts · 26/08/2016 22:40

My period is not due though, I did get a bit of implantation bleeding this time. I have heard it's very common. DH reckons the baby is fussy about cleanliness in the womb and is going a bit overboard clearing out the old blood Confused Grin (He can be a bit of a neat freak!)

I really can't remember if I had spotting with DS because it was so long ago but I probably wouldn't have worried about it. I only worried this time because it seemed to be getting (albeit slowly) worse.

My bloaty "bump" is back Hmm I took a picture of it the other day just before the spotting started, when I fine my phone, I will show you. I look more like 5 months than 5 weeks!

XxbecquixX · 26/08/2016 22:46

Yeah flourishing get shopping!!!!
You could possibly be giving birth in as early as 10 short weeks!!

And lol Bertie, I'm thinking you new name should be tidy womb lolol

BertieBotts · 26/08/2016 22:51

Tidy but not tiny Hmm though it's all stomach. Apparently baby wants a comfy pillow AND a clean room. Shit it is DH.

Rofling xxbec at the idea I have good stomach muscles Grin

Flourishing it's not too early to start shopping if you want to but on the other hand you've got plenty of time still. If you're still not quite feeling ready to start you could at least do your research - try and choose pram/car seat etc so you can order it quickly when you want to. Also make a list of what you need as essentials and either set up a wishlist on amazon or save it as a basket somewhere else (I got lots in asda last time in the way of blankets/sheets/basic vest and baby gro packs and their newborn nappies were our favourite) and then it's a quick easy job whenever. Most places will do next day delivery these days anyway. On the other hand the shopping is fun if you are feeling mentally up to it.

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 27/08/2016 07:14

Snorting at your baby being your DH bertie Grin

tinkly gosh he's been through a lot already hasn't he. Hope you can make the most of his time Flowers Did you get anywhere with getting some physio?
Ps - Thank you for your lovely words x

Good morning all. Just checking in at 21 weeks today! Have my 20 week scan on Tues!!

Tinkly I'm sorry to hear about your dad Flowers With regards to the pgp - a very good chiropractor has all but fixed mine after three sessions. I was struggling to walk about the supermarket only a couple of weeks ago!

Nothing really to report my end, just wanted to say hey Smile

Whatsername17 · 27/08/2016 08:23

Have you got an anterior placenta butterfly? Mine is but it's low so I'm feeling her above it. I don't feel lots of movements every day. I had flutters at 13-16 weeks. 16-18 I had flutters and then one two obvious kicks. Since 18 weeks I've had days like yesterday and also quiet days which make me feel anxious. I'll be glad when it is more regular. A girl at work announced her pregnancy this week. She's 15 weeks so not far behind me. I'm thrilled for her, it's her first and she's really nervous and excited. For some selfish reason it makes me scared though. I think that it's because last time another colleague was a few weeks ahead and when I lost my baby I had to watch her bloom. That was really hard. Plus she felt awkward around me then and didn't know what to say. I felt guilty for making her feel bad. She bought her little boy in to see us all on results day which was lovely. Today I have a birthday party for one year old twins and tomorrow a christening so I'm expecting lots of belly grabbing and questions.

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 27/08/2016 08:35

The sonographer at 13 weeks said she thought it was probably posterior but couldn't be 100% yet. I had an anterior placenta with DD and her kicks were always muted right up until the end and I didn't feel masses. It did absolutely nothing for my anxiety I can tell you!! Felt baby this morning though Smile
Argh yes I can imagine it's hard seeing someone else pg alongside you. I dreamt last week that my sister had phoned and said she was 16 weeks pg (she's not as far as I know!) and even in my dream my stomach lurched over and I thought oh shit, these babies better both be ok... I think it must be so hard for both sides when one loses and one is ok. We lost a friendship over same timed pregnancies when I lost DD1, I just couldn't deal with it, couldn't be around them at all.

tinkly do NOT mow the lawn if you have pelvic pain you numpty! Take it a bit easier please Smile

carrick lovely to see you, and best wishes for your scan on Tues. Let us know how you get on.
