Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Chooster - how funny we were all with the MW yesterday! Bet you've got a lovely bruise on your arm now, by the sounds of things. Must be hard hiding it from work - sympathies.

I broke the news to my boss (of my one day a week bookkeeping job) yesterday. He was a bit gutted, especially when I told him I wanted to leave in March as I've got too much other work on. I'm sure he'll get over it - tbh I'm a rubbish accountant... but I don't think he likes new people - he was horrid to me when I first started, now we get on great.

As I was leaving the medical centre after my mw appt yesterday, I saw a car pulling in and someone waving frantically at me. Couldn't work out who it was at first, but then she stopped and wound the window down - it was a friend of mine who I haven't seen for ages - we did the whole "are you here for...? REALLY?! When are you due? July as well?!!" looks like we're due about a week apart. It totally made my day!

God, I'm full of chat about me today aren't I?!

Bodkin · 02/02/2007 13:42

I mean hiding the pregnancy Chooster, not the bruise! Made me laugh just reading that back!

Afternoon all !

Hello Babymad ? I?m ok thanks, really happy as you can imagine but just wishing I felt more pregnant! How about you? How?s the thyroid? Feeling better? I was worried to hear about you losing weight, there is nothing to you already. Look after yourself

Course you can join LissieLou Welcome!

Greedy ? I?m too scared to think about telling work because I am so new there and about what we will do once the baby is here but we have been thinking about names, I figure it?s a positive thing to do amongst all the worrying my daydream today is about having twins, one of each, Ava and Xavier ? now who?s greedy?!

Fettle ? sorry you had a wobble, are you ok today? How are you feeling physically?

Hello Bodkin ? that?s lovely about the heartbeat, I so want to hear that! Thank you for your wishes for us in the early stages, it?s all so new and scary and exciting!

Hello Chooster you made me feel queasy reading about the student taking your blood. I have very low blood pressure and always pass out when they take blood from me, I?m going to be a real woose at this baby thing aren?t I? So lovely to hear your little one?s heartbeat ? I feel like an Aunty of sorts to your baby! Looking forward to seeing you next week, not as choked up today so feeling better! I?m amazed that people are asking you if you are pregnant I would never ask someone would you? Tell them when you want, not before.

Hello Firststar I?d like to see those question too. Might take my DH all that time to find the answers! Thanks for your kind thoughts for us early birds!

MrsMcJnr Be asured that you will soon feel PG alright kicks in about 5-6weeks, As for the thyroid there messing me about but I hope this is the last blood test i've had to have and there after getting some med's to get it sorted. The weight thing worried me too as now I'm less then 7 and half stone, and I dont like it I always feel drained and I think it's due to the weight loss more than anything but I'll get there, It just make me wonder where this bump has come from if I've lost not gained, .
Take care!

conkertree · 02/02/2007 16:57

bodkin and first star - talking of a lot of babies in the summer, its crazy how many people i know having them in august. my sister is due a week after me, then sil's sil (if that makes sense) a week after her so my brother and sil will get three new nieces/nephews in the one month.

firststar - it was me who had a scan on monday!

babymad - your scan picture is LOVELY! mine were never anywhere near that clear. nearly made me cry!

bodkin - your post made me laugh too! hiding bruise from work collegues deserves lots of sympathy obviously!!!

mrs - i still dont feel pg apart from sore boobs! just went for a wee and when i wiped there was NO BLOOD! not even a tiny brown smudge! i so hope thats it finished with now! i want to get excited about this pg, instead of just worying all the time! i cant remember what i have posted where, but i had great fun concealing my pg last night! decanting shloer to get rid of the bubbles, then scubbing an old wine bottle clean and pouring it in. somehow......even though it was flat shloer (yuk!) i managed to drink the whole bottle! i had to keep up appearances and i would never normally have less than a bottle if we had friends round!

i have a friend tt at the mo and i am really hoping she will be due around the same time as me too. her dd is the same age as mine and it would be lovely!

greedyforbabies · 03/02/2007 14:14

mt friend is ttc by the way, not just tt!

MrsMcJnr · 03/02/2007 16:02

Hello all! Lissie, that's great news. I am hoping my result on Tuesday will confirm that my HCG levels are just fine for the stage I am at too. Can't remember if I said yesterday but I managed to talk myself out of doing a test just to be sure, I told myself that I had already done 3, the Dr was doing 1 on Monday and what would it prove. Still would have liked to see the positive again though.

Firststar - thanks for the list of questions, that's great

Greedy - I'm so glad to hear the bleedy has stopped hon, I really am, let's hope Monday gives you even more peace of mind,

Bodkin · 03/02/2007 17:52

Greedy - that's great to hear no bleeding today. I think sore norks being the only symptom is quite normal for this stage - it was when I got past about 7 weeks I started to feel a bit off sweet foods and sometimes queasy.

Conker - your poor bro and sil - that's going to be an expensive month with all those pressies to buy!

Good list, Firsty (do you mind me calling you that - I just get all confused with all the s's and t's and have to type it about 3 times otherwise!) Don't think my mw was half as thorough as that!

MrsMcJ - I did quite a few tests before I totally accepted it - but I did have 10 burning a hole in my medicine cabinet. Have about 6 left if anyone wants some (ebay ones, but they do work)!!

Cheerio xx

BabyMadwithBump · 04/02/2007 15:18

Now added my bump pic to the list
Hope all are fine and well!

firststar thanks,
I agee with you there, your PG really dosen't seem real till you see what is in there, I was so very sick of being PG just kept teling myself what have I done, It was only when I saw my baby at the scan I thought yes thats my baby in there, and I felt loads better about the whole PG thing after that!
