Mrs Jnr - First of all congrats on your wonderful and exciting news.
I wanted to share with you that I had light spotting when 4 weeks pregnant. The same day I went to GP who referred me to EPU for an early scan the next morning. On the scan all they could see was a yolk sac and very very small fetal pole and the scan result was inconclusive. I was told to go back in two weeks which was agonising. I did however that day have an internal and they said cervix was closed which was a good sign.
I went for scan at 6 weeks and there was my little one, very very small at only 1.4cm. There was a fluttering heart beat.
I have since had my 12 week scan and everything fine but they have put me a week forward (so 13 weeks) which would mean the second scan I had I was 7 weeks.
I hope the above has reassured you. I totally understand how worried and anxious you are and how you cannot concentrate on anything else. I really do sympathise with you. The only thing I did do differently, was drink loads and loads of water and rested (I had a week off work as holiday booked anyway).
The spotting I had still lasted for a few days on and off after the second scan so please try and not to worry.
I would also say that the worrying never stops. I am still totally a nervous wreck and knicker checking even after 12 weeks. I am now worried that I am not showing yet or that every twinge is a bad sign. I look to the worst for everything and its not a good thing really. So I say lets not worry together! xx
