Good luck for your scan today Lynsey.

Yey for a proper bump and movements mike!

10+3 today. The childcare place got back to me last night and have space for DD on the dates I asked for, phew, so that's one day a week for the first 4 weeks of the holidays and then DH is off for 1.5 weeks at the end as it's our wedding anniversary, DD's birthday and my birthday all in the space of 9 days so if I am still feeling washed out by then, then I can take a back seat and let him be "fun parent"! Then it is school again...

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 07:38

Thanks ladies! Just attempting to get out of bed but letting the cyclizine and ginger nuts do their job first. Only 2 hours and 20 minutes to go...nerves are creeping in rapidly now!

HopefulKate1980 · 06/07/2016 07:40

Good luck! I'm sure it will be all great. Is this your first scan? Xx

Thinking of you today Lynsey, hope everything goes well

Whatsername17 · 06/07/2016 09:25

Good luck, lynsey!

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 06/07/2016 09:45

I couldn't believe the size of my "bump" last night, thought shit it's growing fast. Got into bed and rather to my surprise spent about 5 mins passing enormous amounts of wind. It halved in size. DH was sniggering saying "you had a fart baby!" Grin

Sorry, as you were.

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 11:12

It's good news!! Baby is healthy and happy and measuring exactly as he/she should be!! Yay!! I couldn't believe they actually let me listen to the heartbeat too, I thought it was too early but there it was chugging away 😆 I attached a picture they gave me of baby doing a head stand to show off for us! 💓💓💓 amazing! Wahoooo oolong 😆

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 11:13

The 'oolong' at the end of that was my phone getting excited lol...sorry!

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 06/07/2016 11:21

Oh that's wonderful Lynsey! Lovely isn't it to hear that train chugging heartbeat Smile.

Whatsername17 · 06/07/2016 12:01

Brilliant news Lynsey! What is baby measuring? That is a lovely pic!

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 12:23

Baby measuring 22mm lol. By the measurements they had it was coming up 8+6 but she said we'll stick to my dates which is 8+3 with the early scans not being super accurate.

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 12:23

Oh and thank you!!!!

mikesh909 · 06/07/2016 12:29

Happy to hear your good news!

sundayraspberry · 06/07/2016 12:47

Great news lynsey! Makes the nausea worth it now I bet? Wink

Butterfly I'd just finished typing a comment on the 'terrible 20 wk scan' post now I see it has been deleted. I saw you'd responded. Some people really need a bit of perspective eh?

I lost my shit over that thread sunday, glad it's gone to be honest.

sundayraspberry · 06/07/2016 13:18

I work in healthcare. We often get complaints for appearing 'not chatty enough' when we are trying to concentrate. Not easy maintaining a conversation while trying to stick a needle in a vein the size of a strand of thread! Or trying to stop the adrenaline pumping round your body after the last patient had a cardiac arrest on your table. Sorry all. Rant over Grin preggo hormones on the loose again!

Whatsername17 · 06/07/2016 13:19

I think 8+6 will end up being more accurate. My scan at 8+3 was much more splodge like! Your little bean looks like a baby!!! I was moved forward then from 7+5 to 8+3 and at my scan yesterday I was moved forward again from 11+1 to 11+4. That means my due date has gone from 27th of January to the 20th! I guess, because I know when I ovulated, baby must have raced down my fallopian tube and implanted quickly! It also explains why I got 2-3 on a CBD when I thought I could only have been 1-2 at most!

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 13:51

Whatser Your post has made me feel even better! Glad you think he/she looks like a baby lol. Could definitely see arm and leg buds! I certainly don't mind being moved on a few days, I was dreading them putting me back. Now it means I'm nearer 9 weeks which is when the nausea etc is ment to be at its peak. So hopefully I'll start getting past the worst ready for the summer holidays...3 boys at home for 6 weeks 😲
Yes sunday now I don't mind so much for feeling bad because baby is happy! All I was wishing get for was to see baby there, with a heartbeat and measuring correctly. To be possibly moved on a few days is a great bonus!

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 13:53

Sorry for my typos. Lenses are starting to irritate my eyes as I'm starting to get tired now. Excitement has done me in!

Macauley · 06/07/2016 13:55

Congrats lynsey Grin

My baby at 9 weeks looked like a cloud! Really hoping in two weeks time he/she looks more like a baby!

mikesh909 · 06/07/2016 14:26

I also saw that thread but by the time I'd written my scathing response, it had been deleted. There are truly no words for some people.

StarBee123 · 06/07/2016 16:07

Lovely scan pictures lynsey and whatser and congratulations on the good news. Good luck on other all other pending tests and scans. Time has never gone so slowly for me.... I'm still only 5+4, feels like I have been pregnant for about a year already!? I think it's not being able to (or wanting to) talk about it to anyone, yet it's all I can think about. And the fact I'm so bloody impatient. Anyone been for a private scan in the Manchester / Warrington area they would recommend? The place I used last time felt so impersonal, plus I now associate it with my last miscarriage, so probably not a good idea going back there and adding to my anxiety.

LynseyH5 · 06/07/2016 21:46

Thank you macauley and star.
I'm afraid I'm nowhere near you to recommend a place for you star, I was at a clinic in Lichfield. Try googling clinics and see if there are any ratings on them? Only time I will probably recommend Google!

Ok question time.... has anyone else got a constant sweet taste in their mouths? I find its worse from around 4pm (ish). It doesn't help with the nausea! Nothing gets rid of it, if I have anything sweet, it makes it worse too.
I am all about the savoury stuff anyway but even cold drinks like orange squash set it off. I've only just started branching out with different drinks now the nausea is mostly under control so it's frustrating I get this side effect. Help!! Oh I've tried mints too...helps for about a minute!
