So hopefully by tonight i will be in full blown labour fingers crossed.

I am just going to phone delivery suite and ask there opinion.

I am soooo excited.

cathncait · 23/06/2004 18:33

Karen, great stuff. Sounds like this is it for you. Good luck and many good labour thoughts to you.
Congratulations Cavy!! Well done, Glad to hear you are doing ok - hope to hear more news from you soon. Take care.

karen01 · 23/06/2004 20:50

they are now down to every 5mins (sometimes 3-4 mins) have just got out of the bath and think we will make our way to the hospital now.

Skara · 23/06/2004 23:49

Congratulations Cavy, am so glad you got your HB and another big June baby! Well done

And oooh, can't wait to hear how things go Karen, am thinking of you and sending nice easy labor vibes!

Gomez · 24/06/2004 00:05

Congratulations Cavy and uncannily like your prediction! Hope all is well and you are enjoying Nicholas. I am in complete admiration of your ladies who manage home births.

Go Karen, Go Karen - look forward to hearing all about it soon. And an extra two weeks for you to enjoy your new family with DH, you couldn't have planned it better!

So Secur and NiceGlasses holding out for July then? If crazy lady Secur can fit it into her work schedule - you are a mad woman, please be careful not to be doing too much!

BW - I am so with you on the boob front. Have had a disasterous day and a half of engorement, I am dripping milk everywhere and am currently bursting out of a 36J nursing bra. Oh deep joy!

Right I am off for my dinner, so take care all.

sweetkitty · 24/06/2004 00:39

Please God let me have a smaller baby!!! And sometime soon!
Go Karen!

Cavy · 24/06/2004 17:41

I forgot my prediction -- I really did get it right, didn't I??? What was that madame Z? It's on our "rubbish" thread. All her preds were wrong except the sex!

Baby just had an enormous nappy blow out. I'll start regaling the baby thread w/ details.

monkeygirl · 24/06/2004 18:25

Oh my God, been away a day and it's all kicking off.

Cavy - many many congratulations - can't wait to hear the details. A week or so ago I might have been impressed with that weight but he's just a slip of a thing really .

Karen - hopefully by now labour is over for you at last - fingers crossed.

Secur - just have to say you are mad committing yourself to all that work. I hope you are well appreciated for your efforts.

Will keep checking in now and probably have a whinge or something on the June babies thread.

Keep 'em coming!

Hi
I am now a mother of two

Scott was born at 4.23 saturday morningweighing 6lb 15oz natural delivery. he was op so very painful.

run down.
Went to hospital at 6pm Friday night contractions not bad but every 4-5 mins.
9 pm contractions every 3 mins but wasn't dilated.
11pm contractions every 2 mins still no dilation
1am contractions every 1-2 mins 3cm dilated
1.30am had epidural as couldn't stand the pain any more.
2am epidural kicked
3.30am started to shiver epidural wouldn't top up
4am wanted to push, still shivering mw examined and i was 10 cm but baby was not down. she told me would still be hours.
4.15am I just had to push couldn't hold off. head crowned with push.
4.23am head and body delivered in one push Scott literally flew out. bless.

scott and I were both in shock for a good hour afterwards as things had progressed really quickly. Mw commented that she had never seen an op go through second stage so quick.

I have a small tear no stiches quite sore.

Scott is gorgeous, DD and DH and i are all chuffed to bits so far he desn't really cry alot.
Only thing at mo is I am not producing colestrum yet so have had to give Scott bottles, still try to latch him on to try and coax some through, have also been on expressor (sp) to no avail.

littlerach · 25/06/2004 19:29

Congratulations, Karen, hope you are all well.

monkeygirl · 25/06/2004 20:27

ok one-handed typing again.

yayhhhhhhhh Karen, congratulations and well done . Pushing stage sounded a dream (that's where I got stuck). Welcome to Scott - what a relief for you cos your pre-labour stage seemed to last for ages.

Secur - nesting or post-work euphoria?? Either way at least you got some tasks done before you all get bogged down with other matters. Your time is coming....

Ds is still being laid back but he is getting harder to settle. Hopefully we will all meet son on June babies thread for a pow-wow.

Scampadoodle must have had baby by now...

Who's next???

Skara · 25/06/2004 21:14

Oh hooray Karen

well done and hello Scott! eek have to run, previously easy baby is now demanding attention 24/7 (eek!)

sweetkitty · 25/06/2004 23:42

Congratulations Karen well done on the birth of Scott!

Been hopping on and off to see if there was any news.

congratulations Karen! Sounds like it all went really well overall. And you had a small baby too - compared to the others around here!
Am very pleased for you, hope it continues to go well.

meanwhile the mw has decided to induce me tomoroow night - goodness why they do it at night! Just to make sure you can be in labour all night???? Oh well, its all as I expected really - same story with dd really. Just hopefully will be a little bit quicker this time - nearly 20 hours last time.
Will go in at 7pm tomorrow night (Tues) and hopefully have a new baby girl by the next morning . Feel a bit scared now as the memories are all coming flooding back - but am soooooo uncomfortable and sore now that I am ready!
Still no word on Scampdoodle?

niceglasses · 26/06/2004 12:43

aka Lazyeye in case anyone confused

Many congrats Karen - well done pet. Fairly racing through them now - though I'm still here of course and no twinges to speak of at all for last few days. Bother. Was convinced I was going to be early with this one, but due on Friday and no sign. Sigh. Oh well Secur we can keep each other company - hope you aren't off beating me to it.......

Hope all you new mums are managing to get some rest. Lots of love

leander · 26/06/2004 12:47

Hi, I have been on holiday so have missed all of this, I just wnted to say a huge congratulations to all of you that have had their babes.xxx

monkeygirl · 26/06/2004 15:16

Cathncait - best of luck with your induction tomorrow and hopefully you will finally be holding your dd Wednesday. Odds are that 2nd labour will be shorter.

Hey not many of you left now - hope you aren't getting too frustrated or bored or sore!

Gomez · 26/06/2004 21:01

Oh congratulations Karen - and lucky you that much longed for VBAC!! Hope you are all well and enjoying your new expanded family!

Take care
