Karen - poor you. That's exactly how I felt just before the event. And seeing that your pains have been virtually like mine were I can't believe it will be much longer for you, although I know that's not much consolation. Lots of lots of labour vibes being sent your way.
xx

karen01 · 17/06/2004 15:49

thanks MG.

I will open my psychic channels to receive them

Skara · 18/06/2004 11:42

Have done as instructed BW and started a June babies thread in the hope that it might draw out a few more babies too. Karen you can't have long to go, you sound like you've reached the end of your tether

karen01 · 18/06/2004 14:30

Any news BW

We went to the cinema yesterday afternoon as it takes no effort and i thought babs might decide to start but to no avail. I did start getting bad period pains whilst in there and they carried on most of the evening then stopped about 2am. I have had back ache again on and off this morning accompanied by BH so things are definatley getting ready for all systems go .

Just how long till it all starts for real.

Maybe i will get over excited watching the match tonight and start things off. (hoping!!!)
DH has invited some friends over to stay the night and to go to the pub with him to watch the match!!! Sometimes they just don't think do they. I have told him that he can't get too pissed so he has said he is only going to have 3 pints so if anything starts tonight I guess i will be driving myself to the hospital.!!

Bogwoppit · 18/06/2004 14:46

ooh good luck Karen. I think mine is waiting for the footie match too!

had another show this am & have had a few very mild contractions but am not getting my hopes up yet as they are very few & far between!

dh has just set sky+ to record the match in case he's otherwise engaged!

I'm off out to enjoy th esunshine now

BW

Karen & BW - I hope you're having better luck than England this weekend - any news?

And Gomez - where are you?

Come on ladies, we are nearly half way through the month!

The good news for me is that baby Alex is having a lovely sleep not on my lap/in my arms.

The bad news is that probably means another up all nighter .

Just reminding you of what's to come...

Toothache · 19/06/2004 11:30

Any updates Bogwoppit?

karen01 · 19/06/2004 16:41

Mg I am not having any luck in that department, still having the odd twinge but bump seems to be really high again. think I will walk up to school to pick up DD tonight.

Alex is a lovely name by the way.

Looks like BW could be having some action though.

I must admit i thought that there would be more June babies by now, I think the July lot will be on par with us soon.

I was not happy last night and it was a good jobthat I had no action as DH was absolutly arseholed he could barely stand let alone face a delivery. he has been grounded and not allowed to go to the pub to watch further matches unless DB has arrived. But if he gets in that state again he can sleep downstairs as bedroom smelt like a brewry this morning. (Last thing i needed after only 5hrs disturbed sleep due to DH state, I was getting elbowed and everything in his sleep.) As i am not having the baby breathing in his alchol breath. He has a lot of making up to do to get back in my good books.

Thats enough of my rant.

Copme on girls we need more June babies !!!

Skara · 19/06/2004 17:14

just checking in while Jude is having a sleep...things looking hopeful on the BW front

Have forgotten one minor detail of post-pregnancy life - NO CLOTHES (sob). Nothing fits, I am a hideous shape, have nothing to wear and a birthday party to go to this weekend. Might just have to hide under a tree instead...

Bogwoppit · 19/06/2004 18:41

Molly Rebecca arrved 7.08pm yesterday weighing in at 8lb 2oz

had contractions from about 11am yesterday after a show on fri pm.

waited for MIL to arrive to look after ds.

arrived hosp 5pm 3cm dilated.

wentinto birth pool around 6.30pm

head a bit stuck so birthing stool one big push later & out she popped.

No pain relief (not even tens), natural 3rd stage labour /& no stitches (just a small graze)

so the next best thing to a homebirth (service suspendedin calderdale)

Molly fed straight away & has been guzzling ever since!

ds is the proud big bro.

home now trying to get a pic loaded but there is suumat up with camera link. will get one asap.

couldn't believe how quick it all happened!

love BW

Toothache · 19/06/2004 18:45

Congratulations BW what a great birth story as well. I saw your pics and you looked huge but she is lovely.

It's all kicking off in June now!

monkeygirl · 19/06/2004 19:52

I've just posted on your other thread but just to say again congratulations - she looks gorgeous.

Skara · 19/06/2004 21:53

ohhhhhh! congratulations BW, she is gorgeous well done on the birth too, sounds perfect! Have a lovely babymoon, make sure you do lots of nothing and relax!

karen01 · 19/06/2004 23:39

congrats again BW

Molly is gorgeous.

I am so jealous now.

cathncait · 20/06/2004 08:39

Great news BW. She is beautiful and a lovely name too. Look forward to some more June baabies soon.

Meanwhile I am 2 days late so far with no signs at all - head still not down and I'm guessing I will be induced sometime around the 24th June. grrr. But the mw keeps saying second pregnancys are different jsut wait and see. But from my perspective everything has been almost exactly the same as last time (except that I have terrible strtch marks this time - none last time ) so, fully expect to be induced at 10 days od (that is the hospitals policy here).
Anyway, it could be a long month on here Will we all get them out before June is over?????

Toothache · 20/06/2004 11:15

Aw bless BW, she's gorgeous!

I really like how you've got photos of your bump9s0 at 38wks in both pregnancies! What a wonderful idea.... must get the camera out tonight.

Gomez · 20/06/2004 18:34

Good Afternoon and apologies for my protracted absence but I have been off having a baby funnily enough!

Lily was born at 00:25 on Staurday 12th June by c-section weighing in at a lightweight 10ln 10oz!

Birth story is a hoot (not) with edited highlights of waters breaking midnight on Thursday all over the bedroom (DH well chuffed), admitted early hours friday mornign with meconium staining on waters and at 3 cm dilated. Counsultant on-call allows augmented labour if cervix favourable so syntoncin drip Friday morning with the great result of 9cm dilated by 10.30pm and the annoucement that Lily is prosterier and stuck! So straight off for that section I was so keen to avoid . Into theatre and then out again as full of smoke (lots of tasty firemen around who I am sure were overcome with desire for me at that point . Delivery of baby hippo (aka Lily) and then right on scedhule another bloody PPH (had one after first too). Get that sorted, few pints of blood and all is pretty much tickity-boo!

Got home this afternoon, tried but else all well.

Sorry again for not letting you know the score and will catch up later in the week. Of to feed the milk machine (again) and pray that my milk comes in soon.

Take care all!

Gomez · 20/06/2004 18:44

Oops - congratulaions BW!! What a woman! And what a nice birth experience. I hope all is well and you are enjoying your new baby girl!

cathncait · 20/06/2004 20:15

Yay Gomez! Congratulations. Sorry it didn't go to plan for you but very glad to hear Lily has arrived safe and well. Was there a fire in there somewhere???! All sounds very dramatic, hope everything from here on in is nice, calm, relaxing and filled with sleep for you.

cathncait · 20/06/2004 20:18

I just re-read your post and realised how big your Lily was. Oh my Gosh! Lets hope thats not a continuing trend, what with Monkey girls whopper as well!

Skara · 20/06/2004 21:15

OOoo Gomez, congratulations and did someone get our babies mixed up - what happened to my 10lb baby?! I ended up with a little 8lb one by accident! Can't imagine that Lily came out weighing more than Jude does now...sooo glad everything is ok and you're back home!

Cavy · 20/06/2004 21:39

Sorry it was a bit crap, but you sound like you can laugh about it which is great, Gomez. I was wondering where you were, too!

I, ahem, have been having little twinges this afternoon. So subtle I might not have noticed but I was lying down & sleepy... could just be gas! Or a week or 2 of uterus teasing me. Will let you all know!
