Well nothing progressed over night so off to the consultants we go.
I think I am still shocked that I have got to term.
Oh well heres hoping will let you all know how I get on.

Toothache · 22/06/2004 12:08

Goodluck Karen01 - If I go to term I'll be equally shocked. The Docs, MW's and ME have myslef so convinced I'll deliver early that I'm not even counting the last week of pregnancy! Setting myself up for a fall or what??

The twinges have got to be a good sign that 'something' is happening down there though.

I was given a sweep this morning to see how things go and I have been booked in for a c-section on Tuesday if I haven't delivered. The weep really hurt!!! She said i am 1cm dilated and cervix was 2 inches (I am sure it was 2 inches)long!! not sure what that means anybody else know.
I was offered the section for tommorrow but decided to give myself a few more days.

DH has phond work and they have given him an extra 2 weeks.

karen01 · 22/06/2004 20:51

ohh and estimated weight of babs is 6lb 13oz.

karen01 · 22/06/2004 21:08

Oopps just checked notes cervix is 2cm long not inches!!

Skara · 22/06/2004 22:52

Karen, that's brilliant news about your dh Hope the sweep works - I think statistically speaking they're supposed to be pretty successful so fingers crossed...

Secur you are officially insane . Remember you can always use the 'temporary hormonal insanity' law to back out with your boss if you don't want to go ahead (little known law, right at the back of all legal books )

Looks like you're well on your way then. We'd like a full diary of events over the next few hours please... so if you could delay going to hospital as much as poss that would be great, Ta.

sweetkitty · 23/06/2004 12:13

Thanks had another more "bloody show" when I got back from dropping DD off at school. have had more contraction pains some in front some in back, so heres hoping things are really getting a move on.
Part of me thinks yeah this is it another part thinks babs is doing more teasing and is going to wait, so I am quite calm at the moment. Have just woken DH up so will tell him all about it when he gets up properly.

Bogwoppit · 23/06/2004 15:18

congratulations Gomez what a whopper!

Go for it karen - I have high hopes your baby will not be much longer.

Molly has settled in really well, feeds every 3-4 hrs & sleeps really well.

Sam loves beiong the big bro!

Me on the other hand have boulders for boobs - I had to make an emergency callto the local NCT bra agent for bigger bras - now in a 36HH!!!
Seems to be settling down a bit (touch woo)but i could at present feed all the babies in West Yorkshire!

dh has got very used to changing pooey nappies! M poos after each feed like clockwork! & she can belch for England!

so all is going fine here. good luck everyone else.

Love BW
