Hyperemesis Support

I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.

There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos/
Another invaluable website is:
//www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/
If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Hello ladies, sorry I haven't kept up to date with the thread but I've been thinking about you all! My son is 6 months old now, it has gone so fast! So happy to see that reebok and MOP have had their babies and I'm keeping everything crossed that you won't be waiting much longer spandau. To everyone else - keep going, it's a long hard slog but so worth it xx

How did voting go rae? Either way hope you got some sunshine. Was so beautiful here yesterday I got large towels, a selection of toys, a big tub of water with washing up liquid and dd spent hours (literally all afternoon!) in the garden entertaining himself. I could cope with him if the weather stays like this!

squeezed come on baby squeezed hope sweep starts having an effect soon, have you another booked in?

reebok it's more than ok to pop back would be amazing to hear from you! Sorry to hear babybok hasn't pooed fingers crossed he has by now and your dh/dp got the joy of that horrendous first nappy!!! (I genuinely don't even remember it with ds as dh did it and think I must have been asleep!)

Hi, I've just come home from my nearly 10 wk scan. All looks well! I still need a scan in two weeks as that's when they can do the nuchal translucency and the bloods for downs risk etc and get a clearer view. So I'm still not going to announce anything yet but so far so good. I couldn't bring myself to look at the screen at first then our doula started grinning at me and nodding and pointing to the screen so I looked and saw the heart beat and the baby was waving at us. Thankyou for thinking of me xx

Ummmm yes lucinda your probably right and my back (and sickness obviously!) Are not thanking me for it! Need to get back to the physio and start doing stretches again as just when I start to feel I've got a grip on sickness I don't need a repeat of spd from last time!

fresh so pleased your scan went well. Can't totally understand the nerves and not wanting to look. Nice that only a couple of weeks to go and then you get to see baby again 👍

Thanks for the encouragement Ems Smile

ickle, I managed to get there! It totally wiped me out and I felt awful last night, but I'm glad I did it. Unfortunately I also came home to DH going insane with worry- I didn't tell him my plans thinking I'd be back way before he got home, but he had a site visit near where we live so decided to work from home for the afternoon rather than traipsing back to the office. I think I've just about been forgiven now. He thought I'd gone back to hospital and was really upset. Sounds like you and your DSs had a lovely time in the sunshine!

So glad your scan went well Fresh. Counting down to mine now. I feel like I've been pregnant forever so I can't believe it's only the 12 week scan. HG really makes the days crawl by!
