I have been following this thread pecka but didn't really have anything to add (not that I thought was appropriate)...yet having been through x2 mc's I wish/hope things improve for you. My mc's were totally different to you but at the end of the day a loss is a loss .

Use the support of mner's and the supports of friends and family. Also remember that your gp or hospital will offer councelling should you need it. With my 1st mc I felt a freak going for councelling BUT with the 2nd mc I needed answers and to discuss it with someone other that dh. I didn't think at the time that future pregnancies or babies would be affected by this mc BUT aftre having dd I suffered pnd which after councelling is better, the cause....... imo the mc's. I never totally got over them and tbh I don't think I ever will. I now have a gorgeous dd and am 35 weeks with ds2b BUT I still think of my little beans and dh & I can't believe how lucky we are being blessed with (nearly 2 adorable babies) and how we are through to the other side. Sure times were hard and after suffering over 4 years I am surprised dh & I managed to keep together.

I hope today goes as well as it can and I hope you can move on along with whatever support you may need.

Keep smiling and keep your chin up.xxxxx

merrylissiemas · 29/12/2006 16:22

wtf!!! nothing, so what can be happening?

lolliepops · 29/12/2006 16:23

no idea

Frostythesurfmum · 29/12/2006 16:28

Pecka. I went through something very similar to your story with my 2nd miscarriage. I had 3-4 weeks of repeated blood tests and scans and ended up having an ERCP because they thought it was ectopic.

I found the not knowing and wondering whether there was a baby or not the worst thing. Once the ERCP was over and done with I felt relieved it was all over and, as sad as I was that I had lost a 2nd one, I felt better that I was no longer in limbo land.

I'm thinking of you. Make sure you look after yourself afterwards and give yourself as long as you need to get over it. I'm not sure if you're one for cyber hugs but have one anyway .

Frostythesurfmum · 29/12/2006 16:30

That's what happened to me too - ERCP was completely normal and it wasn't ectopic. They never got to the bottom of what had been going on.

lolliepops · 29/12/2006 16:31

so your levels were still rising and they couldnt find the pregnacey?

cyrilsquirrel · 29/12/2006 16:37

so are they saying there is a pregnancy - but elsewhere?

how worrying and scary for her

lulumama · 29/12/2006 16:39

so very sad for pecka..so upsetting and frustrating..not even knowing one way or the other...

lolliepops..be sure to tell her sister tell pecka that we are all here for her and thinking of her and sending our love x

merrylissiemas · 29/12/2006 16:40

where else could the pg be? im confused. does this mean that it could be viable?

cyrilsquirrel · 29/12/2006 16:41

I wouldn't have thought it would be viable as the HCG levels are not doubling as they should

Piffle · 29/12/2006 17:05

rising levels very bizarre...

lolliepops · 29/12/2006 17:21

yes her levels are rising but not doubling, there is a empty sac in the womb, thats why the asumed eptopic but now there is nothing in the tubes neither??????
your guess is as good as mine i am sure she will tell us more as soon as she is home

lulumama · 29/12/2006 17:23

the only other thing it could possibly be, and i am sure i am totlly wrong, is that the pregnancy is developing outside the womb and fallopian tubes, which is exceedingly rare....

cyrilsquirrel · 29/12/2006 17:36

yes, I've heard of that, but I thought that was usually thought to be a normal pregnancy - the levels would rise as with a pregnancy in the womb I would think, just in the wrong place.

mummytosteven · 29/12/2006 17:44

poor pecka not knowing what's going on.

cyril - HCG levels don't have to double/go up by 2/3 within the 48 hours for a PG to be viable, but it seems that what they have seen on the scans hasn't shown a viable PG.

lulumama · 29/12/2006 17:50

you might well be right cyril...

this is so awful.......just cannot imagine the state pecka is in right now..

cyrilsquirrel · 29/12/2006 17:51

yes, I know, thanks mummytosteven.

merrylissiemas · 30/12/2006 11:20

merrylissiemas · 30/12/2006 11:50

lulumama · 30/12/2006 11:55
