Pregnant forever club

I'm 39+6 today. Started getting texts and calls asking where baby is etc. no sign of baby. Feeling pretty ragey. First was 9 days late. This one is comfy. Is anyone else also feeling like they'll be pregnant FOREVER?

It's pooh isn't it. No offense to you lovely lot but I bloody hate this club ??

You have hit the nail on the head there. I feel like my life is on hold, as much as I try to mentally adjust my dates to 42 weeks I keep thinking is today the day.

I'm off for lunch with a friend (fortuantly pregnant only a week behind me so I can be JUST ME with her) but am walking the half mile into town - got to do something and I really won't give a damn if waters go in middle of the high street!

A another friend has just text to ask if I'm still with bump because I've been ignoring her - do I carry on ignoring her? Does she honestly think I had him 2 days ago and runaway in secret? But if I answer her it's like feeding her ignorance.

Haha I've had loads of people asking me if I've had the baby yet! I've started saying yes!

Haha, have you? I was tempted by a sarky comment but instead chose to ignore her message - know what she did? Sent another saying "I can see you've read my msg so take it you're not in labour" it's hormonal I grant you but I'm in a rage! How dare she monitor me like that! I was sparing her wrath by ignoring her, instead I've been forced to snap back that yes I'm still fat and no I will not be telling people when I'm in labour. She can now find out when he's a strapping 18 year old.

Oh god my sis gave last Sunday (6 days overdue for info ) but while she was still pregnant her NEIGHBOUR texted her to say "all your lights are off, are you in labour?". She was outraged, like IF she was at the hospital did she really expect a text back? "Oh yes just crowning now will facetime you in a mo".

Obviously missing the word "birth" there.

God people don't have lives do they?!?

And lemon well yes - why didn't your sister take a realtime video to skype to your neighbour as baby is crowning? That's up to date and reasonable...

Ok so went the toilet before and thought I had some pink discharge but then nothing. Just had a nap and then went the loo it's definately pink I've got some very very mild period type pain so just spoke to the midwife she said it sounds like the cervix is dilating. Sorry for tmi but I just had to share with somebody that won't get to excited and come bursting through the front door. I'm going to be so annoyed if I'm still here this time tomorrow

Thank you lemon I really hope so. I'm sitting on my hands to stop me phoning DH as my sensible head tells me it might be nothing and even if it is it could be hours yet. The excitable part of me on the other hand is all eek.

Aww Cish think at this stage anything is a step forward and exciting!! I would tell DH, he needed rush home (well probably can now, it's hometime!) but let him in on the progression and then have a lovely evening together.

Aw cish yay!!!! Midwife told me we have practically no chance and to wait for induction next week. Gutted but holding out for you!!!

Why would MW say you have no chance? Your womb won't close for the weekend - hope you pop this weekend now just to prove her comment wrong!
At my 35 week appt my midwife said I'd be early, didn't give a reason was just very sure. Bet she won't be handing out comments like that anymore!...

He'll be home between 7-7.30 don't want to tell him. Him leave work rush home and then were still here this time tomorrow. That seems like a silly comment lady mind you my midwife had me convinced I was having the baby last Wednesday.

Oh, you poor things! I am just sending my sympathy, I am 39 weeks tomorrow and while I'm still happy to be just pregnant right now, I think an extra two weeks might set me on Kill mode.

Basically she couldn't do stretch and sweep, said my cervix is unfavourable and that its posterior. Although she said she can't be sure she said definitely not today and extremely unlikely to happen over weekend and it's looking like induction. I'm gutted as didn't want to be induced but at least feel I can relax and stop symptom watching (aka watch X factor and feel sorry for myself with a chocolate orange!) I have my fingers and toes crossed for you guys though!

Sounds like an excellent plan lady your bound to be diss appointed but at least there is an end date in sight

No just a lot of pink discharge and feeling rather uncomfortable. DH has said baby would arrive at 10.31 Halloween. He predicted DS within half an hour so very curious to see how accurate he is this time.
