I'm 39+6 today. Started getting texts and calls asking where baby is etc. no sign of baby. Feeling pretty ragey. First was 9 days late. This one is comfy. Is anyone else also feeling like they'll be pregnant FOREVER?

Boo, arty.

DS (who is 4) has had some horrific dashes to the toilet and been sick once. Seems 100% now so hoping it's the aftermath of a bad go of constipation but still, ARGH. Not sure what to hope for!

Ladypug · 18/10/2015 21:31

Hi all, joining you all, not overdue yet, a few days till dd but thoroughly fed up!

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 19/10/2015 17:21

We are no longer waiting. Our baby arrived today after a quick labour.

Stampynono · 19/10/2015 17:29

Congratulations Iamnot! Fab news considering how fed up you were.

I am 40+4 but all of my other 4 have been late so was kind of expecting it. Booked for a sweep on weds. Midwife attempted on last thurs but my cervix was too high up, though apparently 'soft like jelly' Grin

JassyRadlett · 19/10/2015 18:23

Congrats!!

manateeandcake · 20/10/2015 01:18

Congratulations Iamnot!

Wait is also over for us - labour started yesterday evening, DS was in my arms 6 hours later. He's perfect and we're v happy and v tired.

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 20/10/2015 06:46

Congrats manatee! We were just over 2 hours from start of labour to delivery. It was a close call getting to the hospital before things really took off.

artyone · 20/10/2015 09:24

Congrats Manatee and iamnot! There's hope yet, people really do have their babies eventually.
I'm 40+6 today.. ?? thought I was going into labour last night but no.

I have planned to help at the school disco on Friday! That's how confident I am that I will be pregnant forever!!

JassyRadlett · 20/10/2015 10:49

Yay manatee!

40 weeks today, contractions every 3-4 minutes apart since 6.30 this morning.

Have they achieved anything? A grand 1cm dilation.

I am disgruntled.

Ladypug · 20/10/2015 11:19

Congrats manatee!

Sorry to hear that arty and jassy, I'm with you guys! Nothing happening here :-( think baby is staying put as long as possible! God jassy, that's depressing, lots of contractions to find out only 1cm :-( however it it makes you feel better, it's 1cm more than me!

JassyRadlett · 20/10/2015 12:31

This is so far not the very speedy second labour I was promised! Grin

Stampynono · 20/10/2015 12:40

I bet when it kicks off properly it will go very quickly. I had that with my 3rd. 18 hrs of early labour then when it suddenly ramped up and my waters went it was only 3 hrs

JassyRadlett · 21/10/2015 07:30

It did that. Grin

Stuck at 1cm until 6.30, went for a long and painful walk that took me to 6cm in an hour, and all 10lb5oz of him and was born 50 minutes after arriving back on th ward.

3littlebadgers · 21/10/2015 12:15

Congratulations Jassy Flowers

Ladypug · 21/10/2015 15:51

Congrats Jassy! :-)

manateeandcake · 21/10/2015 18:44

Congratulations and well done Jassy! What a big boy Shock I'm currently enjoying engorgement and being reminded of how often newborns dirty their nappies. All worth it of course!

Stampynono · 21/10/2015 22:39

Induction booked for Tuesday. I declined induction with DC's 2,3 and 4 sounds must be desperate now Grin

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 22/10/2015 06:33

Congrats Jassy!
We are all getting there eventually. Hopefully your baby will come before induction day Stampy.

artyone · 22/10/2015 09:50

Congrats Jassy!

I must point out though that some of you are having babies and can't be in the club any more Wink

I'm still pregnant over here. Not really surprised. 41+1 today. Went into labour with dd1 at 41+1 so here's hoping something happens today.. I remain ever hopeful. Induction booked for Monday.

Hi Arty, still in the club here too :-) I want to get out of it though! Lol

CishAndFips · 23/10/2015 09:46

Also still in the club at 39+6. Had some tightness and cramping last night but it turned out to be nothing exciting.

artyone · 24/10/2015 01:51

Afraid I am graduating from the pregnant forever club Shock
I had my little (or not so little) girl today at 41+2 weeks! I'm now a firm member of the stuck on a postnatal ward forever club

spanisharmada · 24/10/2015 02:13

Congratulations!! I was coming to join, 40+3 but think I'm actually in labour at last!!

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 24/10/2015 04:30

Congrats arty!
Being stuck on the postnatal ward is worse than being pregnant forever Sad
I had to stay for 2 nights with my first and it was awful. I made a point of being home within a few hours this time.
