Something not right... Stillbirth?

This is my 3rd pregnancy. It has felt totally different to the previous two the whole way along, and now I'm 40wks but haven't felt any movement at all for 12hours, and she's been slowing all week. The other two came at 38wks. Husband is not home and I have no one to leave kids with if I went to a&e/antenatal ward. If something had gone wrong would there be any signs? Ive not had a show, or any bleeding, but have had a bit of standard looking discharge. I just can't shake the feeling something isn't right.

slithy Flowers I had a still birth too. Hope you are on your way op.

RattleAndRoll · 10/09/2015 21:24

Always get checked out. I hope you're at the hospital now OP x

HitsAndMrs · 10/09/2015 21:24

I went to the hospital a few times for reduced movements. Each time I was told to go straight in and was assessed straight away.
That is absolutely shocking. Go to A&E. My DDs movements felt softer towards the end but she still moved regularly.

3luckystars · 10/09/2015 21:25

Good luck, don't delay, get checked out and if you are still not happy then speak up. Your instincts are with listening to. Best wishes.

TheTravellingLemon · 10/09/2015 21:27

I hope you're being seen OP. Hand holding Flowers.

PeppasNanna · 10/09/2015 21:30

Imnotaslimjim · 10/09/2015 21:30

InQuiteAPickle · 10/09/2015 21:32

Hope you're getting checked and everything is well, OP. Flowers

christinarossetti · 10/09/2015 21:32

Hope that you're on your way or there now.

I'm also shocked at the suggestion that you should 'wait' because the ward is busy. Completely against all guidelines and good practice.

Best of luck.

timeou · 10/09/2015 21:33

Hope all is well OP, good luck

Misnomer · 10/09/2015 21:34

I hope everything is ok, OP. Going in to the hospital is definitely the right decision.

Gunpowder · 10/09/2015 21:35

Slithy and Merry no words. Flowers

OP you are not daft at all. Hope you are trusting your instincts and have gone in to be checked.

EarlyNewDawn · 10/09/2015 21:39

grumpysquash · 10/09/2015 22:19

OP, do you have any update?
Love and hugs and hope that all is ok x

JugglingFromHereToThere · 10/09/2015 22:25

Thinking of you OP
Imagine you probably did go in which is good x

3littlebadgers · 10/09/2015 22:26

slithy and merry, me too, please op go and get checked. My precious angel had her heart listened to the day that she died inside me, happy healthy baby they said. Don't be fobbed off. Great if the worst thing that happens is everyone's time is taken up for a few minutes while they check to see if your little one is ok, but if your little one does need help going in will be the best thing you ever did. Living with the what ifs is just too hard [flowrrs]

Jellybean100 · 10/09/2015 22:27

Often you are told to give it an hour, drink a pint of cold water and lie on your side concentrating on nothing but babies movements. If baby doesn't become active in that hour then ring back and come on in. Shocking that they told you to wait. I would honestly ring back/find out midwifes name and write a letter of complaint quoting RCOG/nice guidelines. Appalling advice

goldglittershitter · 10/09/2015 22:28

Merry & badgers so sorry Flowers .

GladysTheGolem · 10/09/2015 22:35

So sorry for your losses Merry, Bagers and Slithy.

Good luck OP.

I went on for reduced movements with all 3 of mine, every one they started to/wanted to induce early because of (the last 2 I was in labour before induction started). Listen to your body. X

YouBastardSockBalls · 10/09/2015 22:35

So sorry to everyone who has suffered a loss on this thread Flowers

blibblobblub · 10/09/2015 22:39
