Hiya, i'm nine weeks pregnant and way more emotional than i ever have been when pregnant before. I cry at the drop of a hat. I was feeling dreadful the other night and cried when d gave me a blanket. but the stupidest was last night, we were watching Gordan Ramseys kitchen nightmares, and i started sobbing when he told the chef that his meal was nice! I can't be alone... Any one?

Cried yesterday when I saw the latest M&S advert for food - cannot stand that woman's stupid voice and was so annoyed at it that I burst into tears...

dollyp · 22/11/2006 22:41

Cried with relief at the kind man at Highgate tube who took the buggy down the escalator....cried at writing a good luck card for my niece...cried because DD said please unprompted for the first time tonight....cried because DD had been at nursery. All this is just today. I am awash with tears. Expect to have dissolved once DB2 arrives in march

clemsterdarcy · 22/11/2006 23:06

Dophus · 23/11/2006 08:23

9 weeks and crying at everything. reading this has me in floods of tears.

Work is a nightmare!

abulances and fire engines always do it. Cried all the way in listening to the today programme. It set me off when John Humphries got the time wrong

Pammylou72 · 23/11/2006 09:10

I cried at a scene in Fiddler on the Roof where the tailor stands up to Topol (can't remember the character's name). I realised this was a bit embarassing so told DP when he got home - and started crying again...

Anyone else cry in labour? I did for about 12 hours....

Spockster · 23/11/2006 09:41

The theme tune to the Fimbles had me sniffling every time until dd1 was about a year old. I am more of a hardened old cow now, I can make it right through Max & Ruby without a damp eye....

lynneinjapan · 23/11/2006 11:45

I cried at an ad for loans (of all things) - the one where the couple are using the magnetic letters on the fridge to suggest what they can spend their new-found wealth on. She writes "new kitchen", he changes it to "big holiday" or something like that, and after about three exchanges he comes to the fridge and finds "Daddy" written on it. Oh no, I'm filling up again now!

Oh, and the lyrics of Puff the Magic Dragon have me in floods!

I'm not pg any more, baby is just coming up on 3 months. Sometimes I just look at her and cry with happiness.

sonta · 23/11/2006 12:38

i cried at work when one of my tutor group fell into a piece of sugar paper i just put up and ripped it (very slightly), i cried when they said they wouldn't buy me maternity leave gifts, i cried when they did buy gifts, i cried when they left me nice messages on my whiteboard. I think they were scared of me by the end

WTF · 23/11/2006 13:25

I remember cryinbg at a Nena Cherry video. Just cause she was holding her baby in it.

poppynic · 23/11/2006 13:37

Cried at 5.00 pm when ds seems completely out of control and destroying the house. He dealt with it in a manly way by telling me (a) grown ups don't cry; (b) why was I crying; and (c) he wouldn't be my friend any more. I told him having a baby made you very tired and I was a bit sick and needed some medicine and that made me more tired, and that's why I was crying. He went away and found his doctor's kit to check me over .

tartanchatterbox · 23/11/2006 14:16

Hi - I think you are all great. Now I am back into a normal cupsize, I have to say that my emotions are finally back in check.
To mummydoc - I remember that add and it made me cry too - not preg at the time - just a little homesick and patriotic!
I sympathise with the banana, hunger got to me too, I've cried that dinner hadn't been ready fast enough most nights I was pregnant!

Teddimac · 23/11/2006 14:32

I drank a tad too much water before my 20-wk scan with DD2, so when the hospital kept me waiting for more than half an hour, I howled like a baby because I was convinced I was going to wet my knickers. When I finally got my scan and the sonographer asked what was wrong, I wailed 'I've...been...waiting...for...so...looooong!' - the poor woman thought I must have been trying for a baby for years and I was too embarassed to reveal the real reason behind my outburst . Howled again when I was finally able to empty my bladder; DH swears he's never seen anything so funny in his life, git.

redkennedy · 23/11/2006 14:32

Ah OK where do I start?
Cried at a young lad on the bus on his way home from school who didnt seem to have any friends and looked like he wasnt that popular or cool and he had greasy hair. Cry watching telly most days. But last night, Young At Heart - Doco about a geriatric choir who sang modern songs, doing a tour of USA and some of them dying along the way. Cry?? I did more than cry. I sobbed my heart out and used almost a whole roll of toilet paper. please say someone else saw this prog xx

MammyM · 23/11/2006 17:10

I've been crying with laughing so much at this thread! I'm not pg, but find I'm soooo much more emotional these days. Particularly love the banana in the bin, the baby bananas and the rabbit story! Oh and the green jelly, can't get off the floor !!!!!!

MamaD · 23/11/2006 21:24

Cried when the light bulb blew at the top of the stairs and I didnt have a spare. Hysterical cryng watching the Merecats on Animal Planet and one of the baby Mercats got lost and died......dd is 20 months now and I still cant watch the prog unless dh has already seen it and tells me no-one dies!

Daisypops · 23/11/2006 21:29

Dophus-LMAO at fire engines and ambulances!

CaptainCaveman · 23/11/2006 21:31

I cried reading an advert for Heinz mums own baby food - "lovingly crafted by mums who care as much as you" (or something like that).

Also cried in Tesco because they had no fresh prawns left....

CaptainCaveman · 23/11/2006 21:35

ds now 2.5, am not pg but will be sobbing mid dec at his nursery play - he is an elf and has to sing twinkle twinkle little star.
He was practising earlier..."inkle inkle how i under what YOU ARE" (shouting at the end). ahhh.

Loganberry · 23/11/2006 21:40

The mastercard advert when they are meeting relatives in the airport for Christmas - welled right up! And cried all over my best mate for helping me plan and set up the surprise party for my DH in September, and she didn't laugh at me once during the flood of tears! Sobbed over husband when he gave me a kiss one evening when he got home from work. Cried at ds1's classroom assistant after a particularly bad morning with him before school - she didn't laugh either, even went and found me a tissue! Currently 28 weeks pg with db3 - hopefully the unrestrained emotions taper off a bit!

HowVeryDareYou · 23/11/2006 21:53

I remember sitting on the bathroom floor at 8 months pregnant & sobbing because I couldn't get my tights on & go to work - I was enormous....
