Continuation from previouspost for those pregnant after miscarriage

A spot has opened up at a really over subscribed aquanatal class fir next week but at 70 quid for just 6 weeks that just seems utterly extortionate to me!?

Tootle10 · 16/07/2015 08:50

onefoot the yoga was great - there was a 10 minute chill out bit at the end where we just lay and relaxed. I think I may have heard someone snoring Grin Exercise is meant to be really good for keeping the digestive system moving too. I'd stick to pregnancy yoga DVDs though, as not sure all the normal poses are recommended. I've got the 10 minute solutions prenatal Pilates DVD which I've done once which is good too and only about £6 on Amazon.

chasing £70 Shock

chasingtherainbow · 16/07/2015 10:19

I'm not just being cheapskate then no?!

Barbiedoll79 · 16/07/2015 11:37

Sounds lovely tootle :-)
Chasing I think that is really expensive too! I just had the free ones with dd and found that good enough alongside a few pregnancy books :-) x

chasingtherainbow · 16/07/2015 11:38

No free stuff around here. Booo

Barbiedoll79 · 16/07/2015 12:09

Sorry misread thought is said antenatal not Aqua lol- still think it's overpriced tbh x

By way of comparison, we're just looking at joining a hotel gym / spa by us as it's got a nice pool and I fancy swimming as I get bigger. Don't want a 12 month contract for obvious reasons but they do 6 weeks membership for £65 - so that's gym, pool and all fitness classes (they have 5 Aqua aerobics classes a week - not antenatal but not sure how different they can be!)

chasingtherainbow · 16/07/2015 15:28

Yes I think it's rediculous. I feel like i
should because I did loads of preggo stuff with dd and nothing this time but got so much else to spend on as it is!

onefootinthebed · 16/07/2015 21:05

Omg chasing £70 is that for one class a week for 6 weeks? If it is that £ 11.65 per class, just go swimming instead.

I havn't done any swimming since Cornwall. I might go on Sunday. It seems quiet is everyone on the Facebook page. I deleted mine not sure I want to add it again.

Tootle I bought one in cex today, well I never my dh brought it home for me.

I have the sorest feet ever today.

Bristolian1 · 17/07/2015 06:56

Great scan news Onefoot! The 20 week scan sounds a bit brutal!

Really pleased for you about your combined test result Tootle

I might give the pregnancy Pilates dvd a go then... In the interests of not paying through the nose for an antenatal Pilates class!

Soo busy at work this week, and today is going to be just as bad... Thank goodness it's Friday! I'm going to sleep all weekend!

StockingFullOfCoal · 17/07/2015 10:37

I've just got a 10 Minute Solutions Pregnancy Pilates DVD. I'm having a crack at it tonight so will let you know how it goes. Joining the local gym in September when DDs are back at school (youngest will be full time - sob!) So I can go swimming a few times a week. Its monthly rolling so perfect.

I'm slamming weight on so fast its horrible.

Tootle10 · 17/07/2015 12:13

I know, I love my bump but am struggling to adjust to my changing shape. Didn't do much at the gym in the first 12 weeks, so trying to get back into it now to try and keep my weight gain sensible.

I'm wearing my maternity jeans for the first time today (we have dress down fridays) and they're so comfy. Been a bit anxious about wearing them (think I'm still worried about whether I'm really pregnant Confused) but feels good to wear something that fits properly!

StockingFullOfCoal · 17/07/2015 16:02

My 9 week bump is as big as my 32 week bump was with my last baby. I feel absolutely hideous Sad

chasingtherainbow · 17/07/2015 18:06

Better to look pregnant than not I think!

And there is absolutely nothing hideous about us. Gorgeous, pregnant ladies growing incredible beings. Xxx

StockingFullOfCoal · 17/07/2015 19:09

H thinks I'm mental and that there isn't much difference. He hasn't earnt the 'D' back yet But I was chatting to a friend up at school yesterday and someone she was stood with who I don't know, said "You look massive, no way are you only 9 weeks." Angry

onefootinthebed · 17/07/2015 19:18

Stocking you should of replied no way have you just been that rude, ooh I hate people, I'm so in a bad mood today.

StockingFullOfCoal · 17/07/2015 19:25

I almost snapped back "Yes, I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby in 10 years and yet I'm still thinner than you..."

But then I just did my fake tinkly patronising laugh and swanned off.

chasingtherainbow · 17/07/2015 19:32

Some people consider pregnancy a free for all to comment. Unbelievable that she was so rude to you but I've had similar too. Especially in my first pregnancy as I popped very early and people thought it hilarious to tease me. . Arses!

Barbiedoll79 · 17/07/2015 19:58

I love that milestone tootle :-) really Stocking don't worry I felt exactly the same early on and thn the bloat disappeared, although it was replaced with a bump which started small, I'm now 22+3 and definitely bigger by about a month (I did a progressive pic with dd so have an easy comparison lol) I also think it looks worse from our view than others I'm sure it's gorgeous! X

Arh had a stressful day my little three year old has conjunctivitis, it looks so painful I could cry for him.

Hope you are all well.

gennibugs · 30/07/2015 21:13

Hello ladies - it's taken me days to find this thread again - is anyone still posting or are you all on FB?

Hope everyone is well xx

onefootinthebed · 31/07/2015 15:27

Hi genni I'm not on Facebook ive missed the thread (does that make me sad....... Hope your well.

gennibugs · 31/07/2015 19:24

Hi onefoot nice to see you - I'm well thanks. 25+2 here so hoping everything is ticking along nicely. How are you getting on? Hope all is going well. How many weeks are you?

I am on Facebook but I think I must have missed when everyone joined. I liked our little thread here, it kept me going through really anxious times but I guess maybe people find facebook easier!

Tootle10 · 31/07/2015 22:03

Hey one, hope you're well! I'm on the Facebook group too, although would be nice to keep posting here. It's been so lovely to have people that understand.

I'm 16+5 now, heard the heartbeat at my midwife appt on Tuesday, which seems to have calmed the nerves for the time being! Waiting for first movements now... hope they come soon. The midwife reckons 19 weeks for movements.

onefootinthebed · 31/07/2015 22:35

Ohh tootle how lovely, I don't think people get how special hearing the heartbeat is, it calmed my nerves loads.

Genie I'm 23 weeks, just sent my boss my forms for my maternity roll on 24th of October gor 2 weeks holiday and then straight onto maternity. It actually doesn't sound that far but seems like ages.

Sorry I think I have mislead uou. I don't have Facebook at all. It would be nice to keep in touch and know how you are all doing. It's nice to have some understanding friendly names.
