Good luck for Thursday Guy, I have mine on Wednesday and very nervous too! Great that you are feeling wiggles and hiccups every day that's amazing!!

I hadn't felt baby move for quite a few days (maybe some gas type feelings) but thought I would just check with the Doppler to see if I could hear any movements from him. Took me quite a while to find his heartbeat as he was clearly quite far back, so no wonder I hadn't felt much, but then the heartbeat got closer and closer and he started to kick the Doppler!! It was so weird! (But lovely!) He kicked hard enough to push the Doppler up, then I felt bad and stopped as maybe all the prodding was uncomfortable for him, but wow! Nice to know he has strong kicks but he must prefer to snuggle at the back at the moment :) Definitely put my mind at ease, and hopefully anyone else who hasn't felt movements yet or not many... I am 19+5 now and he can still hide away from me lol.

chasing have a lovely holiday x

gennibugs · 22/06/2015 19:22

Hello all. Back from holiday so will read back in a bit to catch up.

Think I felt the baby move a bit on holiday which was very surreal but exciting hoping it wasn't just wind Grin

20 week scan on Friday - I'm so nervous. Oh and just found out I'm being sent to help at a client for a few months from tomorrow which I am rather stressed about. What a way to come back post hols!!

Hope all are well - lovely to see a new thread Grin

camrywagon · 22/06/2015 19:41

Newbie here, ok if I join? Ttc #1 and 30 has been pretty tough so far as I don't ovulate by myself thanks to pcos. First round of injections in March was successful but ended early at 4w5d. Second round of injections went on forever, 22 days which resulted in spontaneous ovulation of two possibly three eggs (eek!) and positive test confirmed last week. Will be 5 weeks tomorrow so got past last date by a day so far and have everything crossed this one sticks. Have to wait until July 17th for first scan. Patience is a virtue I do not possess!

Tootle10 · 22/06/2015 19:41

Lovely to hear you're all starting to feel movements, I'm really looking forward to that stage.

Hope you had a good holiday genni, sounds like you're back to reality with work though! Have a good time chasing, relax and enjoy.

Seems to be the week for scans - I'm back at the EPU on Wednesday for a reassurance scan. Feeling nervous but definitely less so.

onefootinthebed · 22/06/2015 21:14

I'm abit confused since Saturday and the turning I feel like I have felt movements, however dh thinks it's too early I'm 17+2. God knows how my dh would know he has been pregnant a huge amount of zero times. When did you first feel movements?.

I have been the doctors and have a uti, which are common in pregnancy however I can't believe I let myself be ill for so long, oh well I'm on the mend now.

wispywoo1 · 22/06/2015 21:32

I've been feeling movements since around 17 weeks I reckon. DH felt a little kick a couple of days ago (19 weeks now) he was so happy! 1 week tomorrow til 20 week scan Grin

Barbiedoll79 · 23/06/2015 09:17

Good luck for scans this week amyyy and guy, genni and tootle

Hope you had a lovely time genni and have a nice rest chasing

Congratulations Camry how exciting!

Anyone having awful dreams? Woke up last night after dreaming I had 20 week scan and baby had passed, then thought its just a dream but this happened 5 times last night each time returning to the start and getting a little further each time- it was odd as scan done by a friend, in a hairdressers so thankfully dot think it's a premonition but now petrified for next week and can't find hb with doppler ( I have anterior placenta so trying not to worry but all this together and I feel just sick to the stomach something is wrong... Had this niggly feeling now for a week or so but I THINK I can feel baby move when I stroke my belly but what if I cant and it's just wind? X

Arh barbie I'm sure everything is fine, as you say you have A P (not going to lie I cant spell it). I keep dreaming someone has taken my baby and ds,I run around a soft play centre looking for them and end up in morrissons of all places aswell.

I wake up then can't get back to sleep,it's usually about 4am,I think I have a hormone surge then

Amyyy27 · 23/06/2015 10:09

genni hope you had a lovely holiday! Shame about work :(

Welcome camry and congratulations! I don't think there is any patience on this thread haha especially in the first tri it's a tough time!

tootle how far on are you now? Glad you're feeling a little less nervous :)

onefoot that's definitely not too early to feel movement don't worry :) hope your uti clears up and you're feeling better soon!

Ahh wispy that's lovely! Can't wait for my OH to be able to feel the kicks too :)

barbie sorry for the horrible dreams :( I would imagine it's all the worry causing them. Babies can be well hidden at this stage and the anterior placenta certainly won't help. Babies can react to you touching/stroking/ prodding them so sounds likely it is the baby moving :) if you want to try again I have found a little Dr pepper makes the baby very active, might help move your baby into a better position. But try not to worry like I said they could be hidden right at the back x

onefootinthebed · 23/06/2015 16:08

So what do you miss ?/ are you going to do ? when your little bundles arrive.

I have been pregnant or ttc since last February and havn't drank much since having ds, so I am not really fussed about drinking.

However I do miss a nice meal that I can finish completely, 3 full courses of hot lovely food. My dh has just rang to ask if I want to go out for tea but think it's a waste of money now. Gosh I am going to be a blast to be on holiday with next week.

Congratulations and welcome

onefootinthebed · 23/06/2015 16:10

To carmy

Gr33dyeggs · 23/06/2015 17:39

Hugs barbie. It's so scary! Perhaps some chocolate and some tummy rubbing to wake it up? Mine was so active after the scan when scooby was prodded and poked.

I miss runny eggs - I can't wait for a bacon and fried egg butty! Also wine with a meal but won't be having too much of that if bf....

Tootle10 · 23/06/2015 18:57

Welcome camry and congrats! Hopefully the scan wait will go quickly for you.

amyy I'm 11+1 now, so nearly out of the first trimester, thank goodness!

barbie I have bad dreams which coincide with when I'm most anxious (leading up to scans usually). Hope they settle for you.

I'm looking forward to rare steak, pink lamb, goats cheese, Brie, Parma ham, pate, chorizo and wine - not necessarily in that order Wink. I've been eating runny eggs - I thought they were ok if they have a red lion stamp Shock

camrywagon · 23/06/2015 23:03

Thanks for the welcomes!

Barbie, I think the bad dreams are just our brains processing the anxiety. I dreamt I miscarried last night and i woke up in such a panic. Got up and tried to use my last clearblue as was hoping to see 3+ but I managed to do it wrong and get the book symbol. Grrrr. Already been to the shop and bought some more to out my mind at rest but it's still 2-3. I need my head examined....

Not missing wine too much but I'm only 5 weeks. I do have a bottle of Moët in the fridge which was gifted to me and i have a nice little fantasy of being able to crack it open on 9 months!

Tootle10 · 24/06/2015 07:14

Good luck today amyy, hope you have a lovely scan.

camry the clearblue digitals are only approximate as hcg levels vary between women. Don't let it worry you. I know mine gave me 1-2 weeks when I was actually 2-3.

Scan at 9.45am. Nerves are back. Also been feeling more sick last few days (10/11 weeks) - anyone else got worse before they got better?

Gr33dyeggs · 24/06/2015 07:17

Thinking of you at your scans tootle & amyyy

onefootinthebed · 24/06/2015 09:06

Good luck with the scans over the next few days.

Tootle between the weeks of 11 and 16 I was really ill, I actully felt better now have s uti (the anti-biotics have kicked in know thankgod) and a cold again. Which I am told both common in pregnancy. I actually didn't have any vomiting till about week 13. Hope it passes soon.

gennibugs · 24/06/2015 09:09

Good luck amyy and tootle for today!

I am suffering from insomnia. keep waking up so early each morning. think I might have to start getting up and using the time productively!

Bristolian1 · 24/06/2015 10:11

Good luck Tootle got fingers crossed for you and Amyy for your scans today!

Welcome and congratulations Camry, its such an anxious time at the start isn't it?

How much of a bump did you ladies have at 15 weeks? I'm 15+3 and have a noticeable bump. People (at work) keep telling me I'm showing early... Feeling really self conscious about it. Is it normal to have a little bump now? Or have I just overdone it on the potato waffles? Sad

Bristolian1 · 24/06/2015 10:13

Oh and genni I've had awful early waking too. We put up a blackout blind which has actually really helped. Sending sympathy - it's awful to be so tired all the time!

Amyyy27 · 24/06/2015 10:57

Thanks everyone!

Tootle Hope you have had a good scan!

My scan went well. Everything they could see was normal but he had his hand by his face waving his fingers at us which was cute but meant she couldn't check his face/lips and he was also lying across my tummy with his spine facing outwards so she was unable to check the heart. I am booked in to go back in 2 weeks time and hopefully he has moved into a better position. I am a bit worried as he seemed to be in the exact same position as he was at our private scan nearly 2 weeks ago :/ I know he moves around a lot more later in the day so tbh I think he gets all comfortable on a morning and may move by tea time so booked it for later in the day. I also have an anterior placenta so I have been extremely lucky to feel so much movement (he has just kicked me while typing this ha!)

Bristol I had a decent sized bump at 15 weeks and its my first. I think some people must just show quicker than others! You should see me now I'm only 20w and huge!!

onefootinthebed · 24/06/2015 11:00

Genni and Bristol I think it's something to do with a hormone surge. I remember reading about it when I was having ds, I remember it would be about 12 every night. This pregnancy it's 4am, I'm knackered going to bed later doesn't help either. We also help blackout blinds which are fab but I still wake up.

Tootle10 · 24/06/2015 11:29

Thanks all!

Amyy glad the scan went well and on the bright side you get to go back in 2 weeks to see him again. Sure there's nothing to worry about, although I know it's easier said than done.

My scan was good - measuring 11+3 so I think that puts my due date at 10 Jan. Wriggling around like anything, kicking and waving and could see the heartbeat flickering. I asked the nurse about feeling more sick and she said it could just be a hormone surge. I also asked about when I would start to show and she said in 4-6 weeks - which would fit in exactly with where you are bristol. Feeling reassured again now - discharged from the EPU and dating scan on 6 July Smile

Not looking forward to the insomnia.. there's so many symptoms that I had no idea about before I was pregnant!

Bristolian1 · 24/06/2015 14:34

Great positive scan news guys! And thanks for the moral support. I find it so hard not to let other people's comments get to me, and I am feeling quite fat and yucky at the moment (I know I'm supposed to be glorying in my beautiful pregnant body but it's just not happening for me!!)

Amyyy27 · 24/06/2015 15:06

Great news Tootle! And not long to go til the dating scan! Exciting Grin

Bristol People can be so rude and not even realise! A family member even said to me "are you sure you are actually losing weight because you are massive!" Which really upset me. I was already concerned about my weight loss (I have HG so lots of vomiting still) and huge bump for a FTM, and then have a comment that to a hormonal woman implies that I am too thick to understand how scales work lol. I too feel yucky and uncomfortable and don't look nice in clothes! :(
