Hmmm I've been asked to repeat the urine sample I gave at the midwife booking in appointment because there are red blood cells in it. No idea what this means. Has anyone else had this happen too? Confused

bluewisteria · 19/06/2015 12:14

Thanks for your warm welcome! Feeling better today!

Zeuxippe I think it 'can' mean some sort of infection like thrush or iron art tract infection etc, but I've had them present before and actually nothing has been wrong so don't worry.

Hope the scan goes well today Brickie

bluewisteria · 19/06/2015 12:14

Iron tract?! Urinary tract....

Zeuxippe · 19/06/2015 12:46

Thanks blue - will try not to fret about it!!

Littlelady33 · 19/06/2015 14:27

Brickie hope all ok with the scan today. Well I'm currently in what turns out to be the least suitable place imaginable for a heavily pregnant woman - Royal Ascot. Serious lack of seating but I did just see the Queen.

gingerbreadmam · 19/06/2015 15:23

just got full amnio results back and all clear - thought i would share! feel elated.

hope everyone is well.

Littlelady33 · 19/06/2015 15:24

Hurrah Ginger!SmileSmileSmile

bluewisteria · 19/06/2015 15:28

That's great Ginger!

Littlelady can you use this to your advantage to get access to VIP tents?!

Littlelady33 · 19/06/2015 15:43

Funny you should say that blue... Was just standing below the Queen in her enormous glass box wondering if she'd take pity on me?? It's SUCH a fun place but less so when you're waddling and looking like you're smuggling a watermelon under your dress. Oh and everyone else has been drinking since about 11am...

Zeuxippe · 19/06/2015 15:46

Fabulous news ginger!! So pleased for you! Now you can relax and really enjoy the pregnancy Smile

Gr33dyeggs · 19/06/2015 17:18

Great news gingerbread Smile

bluewisteria · 19/06/2015 17:29

Littlelady I would totally try and wangle something! I was very obviously pregnant with my first standing up at the Royal Opera House, cheapy £12 tickets with barely a view. The staff took pity and have DH and I one of the empty boxes and gave us drinks at the interval!
Did they have any scrummy alcohol free Pimms?

Raffertys · 19/06/2015 18:03

Great news ginger!

Metalhead · 19/06/2015 18:19

Fab news ginger, so pleased for you!

Topsy34 · 19/06/2015 18:22

Great news ginger!

I called my mw and she was really lovely and popped to my house after work and it took ages but found the hb. SO relieved. she said it feels like the baby is way down in my pelvis which could be why I'm not feeling much, and it is still early.

cloudjumper · 19/06/2015 21:30

Great news, ginger! Thanks

broodylicious · 19/06/2015 23:47

little - v jealous of your ascot outing. Before dd, it was an annual social for us and DH's friends. Such a great day. But yep totally exhausting so huge kudos to you for going! Xx

So pleased for you gingerSmile

Phryn · 20/06/2015 01:01

Hi All,

Firstly so sorry for taking ages to post - it's been a crazy couple of weeks since my due date.

I'm delighted to say that Jacob Gabriel (known as Jake) was born after a straightforward pool birth on 11th June. He weighed 8lbs 4oz of pure gorgeousness at birth and is currently lying on my lap mid cluster feed staring at my left nipple as if hypnotised.

This first week of parenthood has been everything from knackering to exhilarating, I've laughed so much at his funny little faces and noises, spent time just staring at him falling deeper in love each day, I've worried if he's had enough to eat, if he's too hot/too cold, hoped I'm doing a good enough job - basically I've become a Mum. Something that along the TTC journey I sometimes worried I'd never get to be. Getting to term was scary and stressful - I worried about so many different things along the way. But I made it - and I hope and pray that you do too - everyone on this thread deserves a happy ending.

Thanks so much for all the support - you ladies are incredible. Keep supporting and caring for each other. Pregnancy after loss is tough - but there is so hope and joy at the end of the tunnel, even if your personal tunnel might take longer than others.

bluewisteria · 20/06/2015 07:03

Congratulations Phryn what a gorgeous little one you have! Treasure every moment, and it sounds like you are being a stonkingly brilliant mum!!

brickiemum2 · 20/06/2015 07:41

Congratulations phryn he's gorgeous Grin
Fantastic news ginger now you can be reasonably assured that whatever needs attention post birth will be more simple and straightforward yes?
I had my 10 week scan yesterday and it was perfect Grin Measuring slightly ahead of dates so no worries about being small. Baby was doing somersaults and waving all four limbs. She said it was so active she was struggling to get a photo lol. Booked in for another reassurance scan on the 3rd July and then my dating scan on the 8th.

Boozle80 · 20/06/2015 07:45

What a lovely post Phryn. And welcome baby Jake what a beautiful name for a beautiful boy. A little bit more hope is shining through

mrsdiddlydoo · 20/06/2015 08:09

Congratulations phryn and welcome to the world Jake!! He is beautiful. Smile Star love the photos xx

So who does that make next? smallbear boozle ? Grin

Super news about the test results ginger Made up for you.

Had a couple of slightly better less sick days here about bloody time caught someone looking at my stomach yesterday at the photocopier at work. Bit weird to realise I'm becoming that pregnant woman at work. We've barely told anyone about the pregnancy. 14 + 2 today. Agreed we'd tell our siblings this weekend. I know my dsis is ttc and I feel like I'm keeping it from her now. Not planning on telling work team until I come back from a camping trip in a couple of weeks. Not sure about anyone else yet. I'm the world's least good at being centre of attention person.

Hope ladies have a nice weekend planned taking it easy.
