Congratulations Phryn. I will do a stats update in a bit.

I haven't posted for a while, as at 38+2 I'm finally starting to get confident that this might happen! Although I do still have the odd wobble about movements due to my stupid anterior placenta.

Nousername2015 · 20/06/2015 09:10

What a beautiful baby! Congratulations Phryn Star

Congrats Phryn he is so lovely and I love the name jake!

I am 32+5 now. Doing ok I guess, starting to struggle and the whole redundancy mess is really getting to me. Everything was going so well and I just feel like everything is coming apart at the seams. We'll get by but I am struggling with motivation. I also have nausea and breathlessness and restless legs.... I am hoping I snap out of this grim mood soon.

I hope everyone has lovely and worry free weekends xxx

northdownmummy · 20/06/2015 10:00

Congratulation phryn I loved your description of just how totally absorbing it is becoming a mummy.
brickie so glad all was well at your scan, hopefully you get a few days relief from anxiety now.

Gr33dyeggs · 20/06/2015 10:00

Congrats phryn lovely news Smile

I'm considering myself over halfway now at 21+ 1 given ds was 40 + 8. I'm feeling lots of movement despite an anterior placenta and have got my one and only intended new purchase of a snuzpod. I have also got my fit ball out trying to ensure baby doesn't start getting comfy in unfavourable positions!

What a gorgeous boy, congratulations phryn! Glad to hear you had a straightforward birth too.

And great news on your scan brickie, hope you're feeling a little reassured now.

Thepurplegiraffe · 20/06/2015 11:38

Massive congratulations Phyrn and what a lovely post!

I am 5th on the list now which is pretty scary. Hope it doesn't come too soon as I am currently travelling up north for a wedding!

Sorry to hear things are tough Happy, hope you are ok.

Treaclepie19 · 20/06/2015 12:36

Congratulations Phryn :)

I'm not too good today. Had diarrhoea last night and this morning and now tummy cramps. Baby is kicking away and I'm eating and drinking so should be fine shouldn't he?

OP posts:
Littlelady33 · 20/06/2015 12:37

Trilled for you Phryn! X

Boozle80 · 20/06/2015 13:46

I'm sure baby will be completely unaware Treacle I've had so many upset tummy panics and it's all been fine - I think babies are so good at taking what they need and just leaving all the rubbishy bits for their mummy to deal with. As long as you're drinking lots that's the main thing. Hope you feel better soon.
Can't believe I'm in the top three and still no baby purchases! I started mat leave yesterday so will force myself into believing this is going to happen and buying something next week!

Littlelady33 · 20/06/2015 16:27

Bloody hell I'm scarily close to the top of that list now! Boozle I'm also woefully behind on the purchasing front. If he arrives early he's sleeping in a drawer...treacle I wouldn't worry too much just stay hydrated. Babies are not affected by norovirus, that's how cocooned they are in there. It's rubbish for you but the little one won't notice

thesmallbear · 20/06/2015 17:16

Treacle I have had a 'funny tummy' a few times in pregnancy and baby is fine. I think some women get this from time to time instead of the constipation.

gingerbreadmam · 20/06/2015 21:06

congratulations phryn what fabulous news and a beautiful name for a beautiful boy.

yeah i think im out of the woods now. i know we still have the leg and feet problems we knew about but as weve been told all correctable soooo today we went out and bought all the nursery bedding etc which was very exciting.

i was just sat thinking about setting the nursery up in our new house and it completely overwhelmed me that were going to have a baby!!!!!! wow!!!!!

cloudjumper · 20/06/2015 21:09

Congratulations phryn So glad it all went well, and welcome Jake! Xxx

happygojo · 20/06/2015 22:02

treacle how far are you now? I have found the third trimester to be a lot 'looser' in terms of toilet trips. Which is strange as I had chronic constipation for 3 years before the pregnancy. MW isn't worried as long as I am eating and drinking

Nousername2015 · 20/06/2015 22:04

I've started spotting this evening. Brown for now but will see how the night progresses. Been feeling achey in the tummy all day but just put it down to things stretching. Feel strangely calm and have just taken myself off to bed and keeping everything crossed. Would there be a reason for spotting at 9 weeks?

gingerbreadmam · 20/06/2015 22:43

dont know if there would be a reason. i had a bleed like a nosebleed at that stage though and a scan a few days later showed everything was fine.

hope u r ok. take it easy for a few days and maybe contact epu if you are worried or it gets worse. sure everything will be fine tho. thinking of u.

Treaclepie19 · 20/06/2015 23:50

Thanks ladies.
Im 27 weeks. Ended up at triage yet again because the pain was so bad and little one was going crazy.
Think the diarrhoea has just caused a tender bowel that little one is pushing on. They were happy with his heartbeat so long as he's ok it's all fine.
My bowel is painful though. Can't even touch my stomach in one place.

Hope you're ok nouser, like ginger says, it can just be spotting for no reason.

OP posts:
cavamonster · 21/06/2015 08:35

I think nouser brown spotting can be fairly normal. treacle glad you got checked out and he's doing ok, just have a relaxing day and hopefully it will pass quickly.

Zeuxippe · 21/06/2015 09:29

Congrats to phryn! What a beautiful little boy.

brickie I'm glad to hear your scan went well Smile

nouser I hope the spotting stops soon. I had a friend who bled all the way through her pregnancy from about ten weeks and had a bouncing healthy baby at the end of it! So it doesn't have to mean there's anything wrong. Can you get into EPU for them to check you out if it continues?

Gradually whipping myself up into a state of feverish anxiety here about our dating scan on Tuesday. It will be our first scan this pregnancy. By my lmp I'll be 12 + 6. My sickness has suddenly vanished which doesn't help the nerves!!

Nousername2015 · 21/06/2015 09:45

Morning all, things seem to be (cautiously) more settled here. Little bit this morning but absolutely nothing since. Ive had a bit of an upset tummy yesterday afternoon and last night so hopeful its linked to that and maybe bits moving about inside. Will see how today goes. Have a reassurance scan booked for wednesday so hoping things stay ok until then. Thanks for the support, you are all Stars.

treacle glad to hear everything is ok, get those feet put up today though!

bluewisteria · 21/06/2015 09:50

Thanks for the stats smallbear, my EDD is 22nd February 2016, I think!

Hope you feel better soon treacle
Good luck for the scans zeuxippe and and nousername I'm sure they will go really well Flowers

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/06/2015 16:47

zeuxippe I swear my symptoms always stop before scans... It's crazy!
