Fabulous news metal!! You must be so relieved! Congratulations Smile Flowers

Littlelady33 · 17/06/2015 10:50

Hurrah metal thrilled for you!

Littlelady33 · 17/06/2015 10:53

Cava sorry that the anxiety is still plaguing you I'm not much better now at almost 35wks! Woke up in night worried he wasn't moving. Walked around. Woke him up. Lay awake getting kicked like crazy and wished I hadn't... I am so unbelievably over work now too but can't really justify stopping. It's just the bloody commute - even with a Baby on Board sign and a seat (almost always, I'm so enormous and tired looking) the Northern Line is still a sweaty underground hell on earth to me right now. Yesterday I walked home, took an hour and a half, just to avoid it. Central London is flipping hideous when this hot and tired!

mrsdiddlydoo · 17/06/2015 11:00

Great news metal!! Grin

thesmallbear · 17/06/2015 11:03

Really pleased for you metal Grin

Nousername2015 · 17/06/2015 11:19

Thanks metal so pleased for your results and congrats on the little girl!
All has settled down now, it was literally only the once yesterday and once the day before. Let's just see what today brings.
Just had my booking in appointment. Burst into tears as soon as I got in the room, great way to start things off! Told mw about the cm and she said it all sounded completely normal and absolutely not a sign that anything was wrong. A lot of what she said was to calm me down but I do feel better for having booked in now and a bit more positive.
Hope everyone's having a good day so far.

happygojo · 17/06/2015 11:55

Hi everyone, hope everyone is ok today.

Glad things have settled down Nouser and YAY for your results Metal

I am having a bit of a pants week, me and my other half are in the process of being made redundant! As I am 32 weeks, I still get SMP.... but that won't cover the mortgage so things are a little fraught here. Due to the official route of everything, we have a minimum of a 30 day consultation period, so we have a little bit of time to work out what is happening.... it just really isn't the best timing. Sad

Baby seems ok except she has put herself in a funny position. I had my first experience last night of.... ahem...... pains in my foof. I think the technical term is 'fanny daggers'. She seems to be lying diagonally across my stomach.... no idea what she is doing. I keep telling her she would be much more comfortable going back to being head down and on my left hand side but she doesn't listen Grin

cavamonster · 17/06/2015 13:46

Great news metal, massive relief for you.

That rubbish happy, hope you manage to work out a plan somehow.

little I'm with you on being over work although I'm only 28weeks! I have completely checked out - working from home today and was supposed to be looking over some reports this morning and mid way through I realised I was engrossed in looking at gro bags onlineGrin now going for my afternoon nap!! I was supposed to travel from SW London to East London yesterday, ended up taking the car (took 2.5hrs) because I couldn't face the tube when so hot!! I am finishing up at 33 weeks as I had loads of annual leave thank god!

happy talking about funny positions, mine has got their head under my rib cage - makes some movements very odd!

Right off for my napWink

Metalhead · 17/06/2015 13:55

Thanks ladies! I also managed to wrangle an appointment with a consultant on Monday to talk to her about why my hcg level was so high. The midwife tried to fob me off at first, after I told her my Harmony results suddenly she didn't seem worried about my bloods at all, apparently they see it all the time Hmm.

Sorry to hear about your redundancy happy, definitely not what you need when you're pregnant. Hopefully you'll find a way to sort things out.

northdownmummy · 17/06/2015 16:36

Great news metal

Sympathies to those of you having to deal with London. I'm in northern Ireland so a much slower pace and so much cooler. I'm lucky enough to live a 10 min walk from the beach which I think will be a huge relief over the coming months.

Boozle80 · 17/06/2015 19:05

Brand new level of scanaxiety - routine midwife check has led to a scan to check the position of the baby and they've left me in a room with the scan equipment turned on while they go and find a doctor. It's been about 15 minutes and the blank screen is screaming at me. I was fine when I arrived!

bluewisteria · 17/06/2015 20:32

Hello... I would like to gingerly creep into the room, please....

I am 4+4, but have had strong positives for over a week now, and the clear blue dig wotsits have gone up from 1-2 to 2-3. I know they aren't very reliable but I found it really reassuring!

I have 2DD's, aged 5 and 3, and have now had 10 mc's in the last 7 years too. I had 8 prior to my first DD, all before 7.5 weeks, and was told possible low progesterone so took supplements, first month on them I carried her to term. DD2 was a very welcome surprise - no supplements, no problems in pregnancy. I think I really assumed that whatever it was had sorted itself out, so I was very shocked by 2 early mc's this year. And now this pregnancy seems strong, feels different to me, and no supplements either.

I was feeling very zen like and happy, then suddenly this evening felt really down and anxious. Paranoia is telling my I feel down because my progesterone is dropping, but I think it is my hormones, feeling a little crazy. And exhausted.

bythesea82 · 17/06/2015 22:20

metal great news Grin
boozke hope scan was ok in the end?
blue welcome, really hope this pregnancy goes well for you.
happy sorry to hear you have the stress of redundancy Confused

Boozle80 · 17/06/2015 23:33

Scan was all fine, the baby's back to back but other than that exactly where it's meant to be. Hate that room so much!

Treaclepie19 · 18/06/2015 08:55

Glad all was ok boozle :)

The consultant yesterday was happy with how baby is growing so just got to keep an eye on his movement but they reckon he must be finding a new pattern.

Hi all,

Have we heard off Phryn recently? I have a feeling she was being induced today?

Welcome blue and Yay for everyone who has had positive scans and appointments

tigermilk · 18/06/2015 09:46

Happy to hear about good news on scan results, metal and boozle. Thinking of you, bluewisteria - I'm full of admiration at your strength, and really hope that you're feeling better today. I find myself very mood-swingy and hormonal in early pregnancy, so am sure it's just that.

I saw a midwife this morning (I'm in NZ) and she was reasonably reassuring, though apparently the 'reduced symptoms' thing is a mild red flag for them so she sent me off for a bloodtest for hCG levels and will have another to check it's rising on Monday. Feel a bit calmer; what will be, will be I guess... Smile

Gr33dyeggs · 18/06/2015 19:24

Lovely news metal
Glad the scan went ok boozle
Welcome newbies - wishing you a boring & uneventful 8 months!

brickiemum2 · 19/06/2015 07:02

I've got my 10 week scan this morning. The whole thing brings back awful memories of my mmc. I'm terrified.

Zeuxippe · 19/06/2015 07:17

Good luck brickie. What time is the scan? I really hope everything goes ok. There is a good chance things will work out differently this time Flowers

Topsy34 · 19/06/2015 07:30

Good to read all your updates!

Im so bloody anxious its actually getting on my wick now!! I wish i could enjoy being pregnant. Everyone keeps saying oh what lovely news, you must be excited. I'm not excited at all, i feel like I've let the baby down :(

Is it normal to feel a few flutters around 15w and then hear the hb at 16w appointment, and then not feel any kicks?? Im 18w now and dont think i have felt any kicks since hearing the hb. Sone days my tummy looks bump like and others not!! I think im going to have to ring the mw today and see if she can squeeze me in and stick the doppler on.

northdownmummy · 19/06/2015 07:31

Good luck brickie we'll all be thinking of you his morning. Let us know how it goes

tigermilk · 19/06/2015 07:44

Good luck brickie. Thinking of you and sending positive vibes from this end of the world.

Metalhead · 19/06/2015 08:26

Good luck brickie, I hope everything's ok.

topsy I think early movements can be on and off, but call the midwife if it'll reassure you.

I'm a bit miffed that I haven't felt anything yet, with DD I'm sure I felt the first flutters around 14 weeks, and I'm now 15 although have been told my placenta is anterior this time. I will definitely get the consultant to do a Doppler check or ultrasound on Monday...

brickiemum2 · 19/06/2015 09:11

topsy that would be 100% normal with an anterior placenta (at the front)
