aww lovely news! congrats everyone.

Boozle80 · 15/06/2015 19:58

Fab scan news - love a good scan photo! I've got the pelvis thing - it really hurts, I can't roll over in bed and I'm on crutches to get about - it was quite funny watching me try to teach rounders at school the other day!

Zeuxippe · 15/06/2015 20:22

Congrats diddly and gr33dy!! Great news Grin

bythesea82 · 15/06/2015 20:25

Great news on scans mrsD and gr33dy Grin

metal when are your results due?

brickie I am sorry you're so anxious. Nothing I can say to make you feel better, I know from experience. My only advice would be stay busy & remember as someone else said, the odds are in your favour Flowers

Metalhead · 15/06/2015 21:19

I'm hoping for Friday bythe, but it might not be until next week.

tigermilk · 15/06/2015 21:47

Thanks for the welcome. It's so great to see the positive scan news from those ahead in the game - makes it seem a bit more possible. And that is such a lovely scan pic, Greedy. CUTE! I was team yellow too for my last, and will probably be again, though am more tempted this time.

Brickie - hope you're feeling okay, or as okay as possible.

I can relate to the feeling of abject terror. I've mostly been fine but yesterday I woke up and my breasts had completely gone back to normal, after feeling full and a bit sore since BFP. I have pretty much convinced myself that this is a bad sign. Am also cramping quite a bit, and keep rushing to the loo to check for spotting, which is how I knew last time. So far there is nothing, but I can't help feeling the loss of symptoms is a bad sign. Have been googling endlessly and I can see that preg symptoms definitely come and go - but have latched on to one comment someone made where a doctor said if it happened before 6 weeks it's not a good sign. Urgh. Sorry, just venting. Guess I'll hold tight and keep fingers crossed.

cloudjumper · 15/06/2015 22:00

Great scan news, mrsD and gr33dy! So happy for you!

Just a quick check on from France, not great internet here. 12 weeks today! Another little milestone. Still feeling very ropey on and off - but at least I can just go and lie down when I like at the moment!
Hope all is well with everyone else!

cavamonster · 15/06/2015 22:01

Great scan news today and welcome all new peeps!

tiger my symptoms were very hit and miss in the early weeks and had a lot of cramping so try not to think the worst.

Had my 2nd 28 week appointment today (saw consultant on Friday and MW today), baby is breech and has been everytime but she didn't seem bothered - I like others will push for c-section if it doesn't change but a while away yet. Despite hearing a strong hb, she did manage to upset me by saying I should be getting the movements checked because I mentioned I get a couple of busy days then a quiet day as a pattern and she said it shouldn't change -cue me feeling like a crap person who is unable to tell what is a concern or not. Thankfully the baby has helped out by kicking away ever since and reassuring me but never ending worry this pregnancy lark.

cava my 'pattern', if you can even call it that, is similar to yours and I've never been in for reduced movements or been told I need to. It's so hard to know what to do for the best isn't it? I don't want to be going to the hospital every 5 minutes.

Still 37 + 5 today Shock

Thepurplegiraffe · 16/06/2015 07:42

Tiger if it's any reassurance my boobs were mostly completely normal and I had loads of cramping before 6 weeks, more than with my mc, I think it is pretty normal.

Cava I get quiet days and busy days, I can't believe it is that unusual, and some of it is down to us being distracted. Obviously get checked out if you are worried but don't let them get to youSmile

tigermilk · 16/06/2015 08:31

Thanks so much, cava and thepurplegiraffe, that is very reassuring. I've felt a little less insane today, and have an appointment with midwife on Thurs, just to check in.

Oh, and I had a similar experience with my DD's movement patterns, as I recall: days of activity followed by really quiet days. I remember stressing about it, but think it was just totally normal for her.

bythesea82 · 16/06/2015 10:36

cloud great news on hitting 12 weeks, seems like such a milestone, when's your scan again, next week?

tiger get away from Google, you'll go insane! I am sure there is no real reliable pattern to symptoms especially early on. I felt at my best in the first few weeks of this pregnancy and it's my only sucessful 1 out of 4 so who knows?!

cava sorry she made you feel bad, I have always heard the most important thing is to know what's normal for you and check if that changes.

Treaclepie19 · 16/06/2015 11:12

Ugh, tomorrow's meeting with the consultant cannot come quick enough. Even though I've felt little one move last night and this morning I feel I'm having to be so careful to monitor after him not moving for so long sunday.

I agree cava, just track what's normal for you. Going into triage has only ramped up my anxieties about movements.

Hello was just mooching around the pregnancy section and spotted this thread. So pleased it is still going. I am one of the old originals and was lovely to see my stat is still up (I think 5th on the list of babies born). Still keep in touch with a bunch on FB who had babies at a similar time. It's been a fab support network. I am now 10 weeks pregnant with my second baby.

Anyway congratulations on all your pregnancies, sending you lot some posifrikintivity!!! Look after each other xxx

Thepurplegiraffe · 16/06/2015 14:46

Hi Bodicea great to see graduates popping back. Just looked at the stats and you had your baby just a couple of weeks after I had my first.
Congratulations on your new pregnancy, hope all goes well!

Polka007 · 16/06/2015 15:10

Hello ladies... may I join you please?

I had such incredible support during my previous pg/mc's I wanted to come and got some cybersupport again if I may?!

Following fab appointments at St Mary's in 2013 I had a delicious DS last May (injecting Clexane daily) and I now find myself 6 wks pg today and 'the fear' has set in again.

Good luck to all of those waiting for scans and babies! Smile

Polka007 · 16/06/2015 15:12

Bodicea I remember you from before - huge congratulations! Grin

Nousername2015 · 16/06/2015 16:04

Ladies, can I get some hand holding/a grip? 8+5 today, this is tmi but yesterday when I wiped I had some yellowish cm with a tinge of brown. Happened once only, all as usual after then. Today the same has happened but with more brown in it, again only once. My mc started with brown spotting, and we found at the scan that the baby died at 9 weeks, around the point I am now. I'm not 'spotting', this is all mucus and no blood which is a positive, but at the same time my anxiety has gone through the roof. I think someone posted before that the cervix does some growing around this time, does anyone know/has anyone had the same?

brickiemum2 · 16/06/2015 16:13

I had loads of brown blood at 10 weeks with my now 5yo daughter. Fingers crossed for you nouser

I've been diagnosed with gbs. So between the pih, the gbs, the fact I always go overdue and then labour really quickly it looks like I will be given an agreed date of induction at some point between Christmas and New year with full monitoring and drip. Sad

northdownmummy · 16/06/2015 16:26

nouser I had the very same thing off and on between weeks 6 and 9. I feared the worst and had 2 trips to the EPU during that time.
I'm now at 21 weeks and everything's looking fine. I know you must be really worried but it can be ok. Will your EPU see you for a reassurance scan?

Littlelady33 · 16/06/2015 16:47

Hugs nouser must be so worrying but doesn't sound like bleeding / spotting. I'd suggest you call your EPU they should be able to see you?

Nousername2015 · 16/06/2015 16:50

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow morning so will bring it up with the mw (although she will tell me it's normal!) I have a private scan booked for next week, I will call EPU if it turns into bleeding though. It's notoriously difficult to get an appointment at mine so I don't want to bother them unless it really is necessary. I completely underestimated just how difficult pregnancy after miscarriage is.

cavamonster · 16/06/2015 20:10

Thanks for the reassurance everyone, I really am trying to keep my pregnancy anxiety at bay but it seems others keep want to make it more challenging to do so. Good to hear others are similar though, makes sense they get a little tired after two days of activity - God two busy days for me and Im knackered at the moment!

bodicea lovely to see a grad pop in and good luck in your new pregnancy. Welcome polka and congratulations!

little meant to add earlier I use Spa tone which is a liquid iron supplement that doesn't block you up. I add mine to a glass of orange juice.

Metalhead · 17/06/2015 10:31

Just got my Harmony results - all low risk, and we're having another girl!! Grin I'm so relieved, though my nerves are absolutely shot.

Welcome polka, I hope you have an uneventful stay with us.

nouser hope your brown discharge has settled down, I've no experience of this so can't give any advice.
