I'm also sorry you're worrying tft, if its worth anything I think a lot of cm is a lot more likely to be a sign of a continuing pregnancy than a miscarriage. Google will tell you anything if you look hard enough, hope you manage to relax a bit this evening and good luck for tomorrow.

MyNameIsSuz · 22/07/2015 18:27

Sorry you're worrying tft, good luck for tomorrow.

Boysclothes · 22/07/2015 19:03

TFT, I'm so sorry you're feeling so horrible. You sound relaxed, calm and strong. I am really wishing all the best for you.... What time is the scan? Might it be too early to see anything?

Tftpoo · 22/07/2015 20:22

Thank you so much for your lovely messages of support. It means a lot and you are all keeping me company this eve as DH is away. I will be 6+3 (or maybe 4) tomorrow, so yes, it might be too early to give a definitive answer. The epu said they would do blood tests to look at hcg levels if they can't see anything so hopefully in the next few days I will get an answer.

cloudjumper · 22/07/2015 20:29

metal and bumble That's great news about your scan! Are you feeling a bit more relaxed?

tft I agree with nouser, lots of cm to me sounds like a pregnancy sign! Step away from Google, any answer will come up if you look long enough.

My constipation relief seems to have been only temporary, sigh Confused Back to feeling really uncomfortable again, currently looking at a bowl with prunes next to me, willing myself to eat them (really not a fan). Urgh.

BumbleBee0 · 22/07/2015 20:38

Good luck for your scan tomorrow tft. I thought lots of cm was normal in pregnancy too. Sure I still had it with DS and am having it now.

Feeling really positive at the moment cloud and thinking of booking a private scan next week without a feeling of anxiety and dread (quite possibly might change tho). I have one at epu in 2 wks but the 2 wk wait was awful this time and I'd also like to have one at 9wk+ as my 1st mc ended 8+5 (but didn't find out til weeks later) so I think it would help a lot to get past that stage and also breakdown the wait to the next scan. A voice in my head tells me it's still so early and don't get too positive yet but my gut feeling is good at the mo.

mrsdiddlydoo · 22/07/2015 22:08

Hooray for good scans metal and bumble Definitely book as many scans as you need/can afford!

Will be thinking if you tomorrow tft

cloud are you managing to drink plenty? I struggle drinking anything but know my bowel movements struggle the less I drink. Prunes are not my favourite thing. Good luck with them. I seem to be staying regular by eating branflakes with raisins, probably too much brown bread, a banana a day and then as much veg/fruit and lentils/beans if I dare but dh is not impressed sitting next to me if I have beans.

MyNameIsSuz · 23/07/2015 06:31

cloud, I've always done well with peppermint tea and an activia or two, much nicer than prunes!

Marchgirl · 23/07/2015 06:35

Good luck for the scan today tft. Hope you got some sleep.

northdownmummy · 23/07/2015 06:48

cloud I'm another one suffering. Currently trying combinations of fubogel and lactulose..... Lovely

Nousername2015 · 23/07/2015 07:00

Hope you managed to get some sleep tft, good today.

Nousername2015 · 23/07/2015 07:00

Good luck today even!

cloudjumper · 23/07/2015 08:42

Good luck with the scan tft

mrsD I think I am drinking enough, but I guess it never hurts to try and drink more... The prunes last night didn't work, sigh. I've tried Fybogel, and it didn't do anything at all, if anything it bunged me up even more (I actually discovered on the information leaflet that it can be taken for both constipation and diarrhoea! Hmm). I eat plenty of fibre, too. Lack of exercise and coffee is most likely a factor, so I am trying to ramp that up a bit more.
Got my 16-week MW appointment today, will ask him/her what else I can do/take.

broodylicious · 23/07/2015 09:14

cloud, try taking a cup of coffee - decaf or normal - a day. It worked for me!

Pandapops8 · 23/07/2015 10:32

Hi All - Can I join please? I had a MMC on 28th May, it was the most devastating experience of my life, but made us realise how much we want a baby. We waited for one AF cycle, and then started trying again. I started to feel a bit different last night, more tired and just different and was convinced we were pregnant. We took a cheap test with an extremely faint line, then went and bought a clear blue digital one and we definitely have a BFP, 1-2 weeks pregnant. I want to be over the moon but I am just now in a constant state of worry. I guess everyone has feelings like this after a MC. I just want the safe zone timing to be over with ASAP xx

happygojo · 23/07/2015 10:34

Hi cloud have you tried lactulose? I ended up on on movicol but only had to take it twice a week and since the third trimester I haven't needed anything at all and now I have gone the other way but apparently completely normal.

Good luck TFT

How are you doing broody? I am desperate to get my baby here safe now

Tftpoo · 23/07/2015 10:44

Hi everyone and hi panda. I am pretty new here too and totally understand the intense anxiety you must be feeling right now. It's a very scary time.

I had a scan this morning. They said i am definitely in the early stages of pregnancy and the sac and yolk sac could be seen but no fatal pole, probably because it's too early. They are going to re-scan me in 2 weeks. Think it's going to be a very long two weeks. I wish I had stronger symptoms so I felt everything was ok (although from experience of mmc I do know that symptoms don't necessarily mean everything is ok). Thank you all so much for your messages, it is helpful knowing that there are others who know exactly how I feel.

Marchgirl · 23/07/2015 11:15

Welcome over here panda. I hope you find this thread supportive through this stressful time x

Sorry the scan wasn't more conclusive tft. Really hoping your dates are just a bit out. When did you ov? A sac and yolk sac is a really good start if you are between 5 and 6. Hand holding for the next 2 weeks. Torture to make you wait 2! We're lucky enough at our epu to just be a week between confirmation scans

tigermilk · 23/07/2015 11:57

Hi all, I posted here a few times a while back then went awol, sorry, all just got a bit much. I just wanted to update as I keep thinking of my stats lingering up there at the start of the thread Sad... I had a scan this week after some spotting. I was 10+5, but the baby was only measuring 5 weeks, with no heartbeat. I have to have another scan to confirm, but I know. Bloody sad and numb, but trying like hell to focus on the future. Thanks again for your support, and wishing you all so much luck and best of all vibes for your pregnancies.

northdownmummy · 23/07/2015 12:05

tiger I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you have plenty of support at this horrible sad time

tigermilk · 23/07/2015 12:20

Thanks so much, northdownmummy. My DH is great, and I have a lot of family support... I'm just taking each day as it comes.

Nousername2015 · 23/07/2015 12:20

So sorry to hear that tiger, hope you are getting lots of support.

Marchgirl · 23/07/2015 12:21

So sorry to hear that tiger, hope you have lots of support. Look after yourself xx

Metalhead · 23/07/2015 12:32

tiger I'm so sorry to hear that, take care of yourself and I hope you'll get your sticky bean soon.

tft the next couple of weeks will be hard, but hopefully you'll get some good news at the end of it.

Sending you some labour vibes broody and happy!

And finally, welcome panda, the first couple of months are really hard after a mc but you will get through it somehow.

Tftpoo · 23/07/2015 12:35

tiger I am so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself.

march, the dates are a bit confusing. It is 6 weeks and 3 days since I had the erpc so that is absolutely the 'most' pregnant I could be. I got a positive opk on CD14 but I didn't get a positive pregnancy test until 17dpo, so CD31. Tbh I was surprised when it was positive, having had bfns from 10dpo until the positive on 17dpo. So I am probably a bit less than the max 6+3. Hopefully that means the sac and yolk sac finding is just about ok dates wise, however I am bracing myself for the worst and am prepared to hear that it isn't a viable pregnancy when I go back in 2 weeks. They said 2weeks because the hb is hard to see until 7weeks and given the uncertainty over how pregnant I am now, it is best to wait until I am certainly 7 weeks+ to make sure I don't get an inconclusive result again.

This is why they tell you to wait a cycle before ttc but we just didn't want to miss the opportunity. With hindsight, waiting would have been sensible...
