Hugs brickie that sounds so scary. Hope you're getting some rest now. Hurrah for 11weeks brummie! 38+4 and beyond exhausted. Last week I was commuting 8am - 6pm as usual this week I need two naps a day. Guess that not trying to go to full term was wise after all.

brickie Hope you're OK, how scary! Do look after yourself! A friend of mine had issues with the placenta detaching early in her pregnancy, it was very scary and was on strict bedrest for pretty much 3 months, but it all turned out well and she has a lovely DD now.

Oh my word!! I'm top of the list!! How did that happen?!?! Yikes!! I'm feeling like it could be any day soon ignoring the fact this could also be a healthy dose of wishful thinking Am quite uncomfy most of the time and I'm frustrated that I can't play with my toddler as normal but hopefully won't be long. Eeek exciting!!

Me too little. Can't walk, roll over, sit, lie, perch comfortably at all now. Very. Fed. Up. Oh and warm!!

Worrying I've not felt baby move at all today, not at all :( usually even on a quiet day I'll feel at least a little something. I only saw her on the scan a couple of days ago ! But I fell down the stairs on Tuesday night (on my bum, not a total tumble) but now I'm so paranoid something's wrong. If I don't feel anything by tomorrow afternoon i think I might ring the mw's. Am I being irrational ?!

Sorry to hear you're worried rebecca. I definitely don't think the fall will have caused anything. The baby is very well protected in there, but if you're worried about the reduced movement then I'd first see if you can bring some movement on with a drink of very cold water (and maybe a bit of prodding), and if you're still worried call your midwife. Better safe than sorry.

I'm feeling particularly tired and hormonal today which I think is just exacerbating the worry. I'll have a cold drink and a good jiggle and see what happens. Thank you xx

I've heard that sugary drinks can also give a bit of a nudge so maybe try that? Chances are you'll set baby off for the night and not be allowed any sleep from the kicks!

Hi all, sorry I have been a bit absent. The enormity of being nearly 37 weeks pregnant has hit me. rebecca I have found that my baby tends to move less when I am stressing. If I manage to relax she starts wriggling away.

broody any signs? I am having some achey cramps but they don't feel like braxton hicks

rebecca, are you Rh neg blood group? If so, defo still get checked out as you may need an anti d jab and you have to have it within 72 hrs of any bump

Still no sign here. Though I did have strong BH and pushing down last night. Such a bummer I can't really walk that far because I'm sure it'd help things along.

Hello all, I've been lurking a bit, just trying to keep my head down and hope the first weeks pass quickly but it's almost torturous.
My 2nd scan is on wed when I'll be 8+3 and the panic is already setting in. My sickness seems to have gone the past few days so that is also adding to the worry. Although I'm still knackered.

Rebecca Have you tried having a bath? When I was pg with DS, I found that he was most active when I was lying in the bath, doing proper Mexican waves.

I had my first proper bowel movement in weeks this morning, I feel so...I guess relieved is the right word, in every sense! Really need to figure out a way to get rid of this constipation. I've given up on Fybogel, took it for a week now, and it did absolutely nothing. Off to buy some prunes and/or prune juice at the weekend, I think.
Got my scan tomorrow. Dreading it - this is the big milestone one, the one where they discovered my late mc last year. I am panicking because I have become so invested in this, making plans etc. Desperately hoping it will be OK.
