zeux hooray for low risk results, very pleased for you!

Also great news on everyone's good scan results. Good luck for tomorrow Rebecca and dobby, let's have some more positive news.

mrsdiddly don't worry about it, DD has been watching far too many DVDs over the past few months, but when I've been feeling absolutely rubbish I had to save all my energy to make her tea and read her a bedtime story.

I gave in to my paranoia today and went to see the midwife, after my little pickle had been very quiet again for the last couple of days. She was lovely and listened to the heartbeat for me so I'm feeling a lot calmer and hopefully should be able to stop fretting until my 20w scan next week.

bythesea82 · 13/07/2015 17:26

dobby and rebecca good luck for scans tomorrow. dobby hope it's just everything settling in and you have no further scares.

zeux great news on results Smile
Guess 28 weeks is 3rd trimester but it seems to change wherever you look!!

metal glad mudwife was nice and hope you feel reassured at least for a few days

cavamonster · 13/07/2015 23:11

Been a busy last few days, my mum was visiting and we went to Wimbledon which was loads of fun, then we had a big neighbourhood bbq on Saturday - all good fun but could barely move my head off the pillow yesterday!

Welcome and congratulations to the newbies....
little hope mat leave has started well and you had a nice relaxing weekend!

metal glad the MW was able to reassure you and all is well.

happy I tell myself that I am being rewarded with a straight forward pregnancy as I have dealt with so much heartbreak over the last 3.5 years and i have all the anxiety that brings so that's why everything is going to plan.

purple excellent news!!! love Jessica as a name, hope you are recovering well...

by the sea woohoo to third trimester arrival - feels like such a slog to get to it!

Great news zuex

I am on my last week at work, which is mainly consisting of clearing emails and saving files to memory drives - only one visit to do in the field this week so it should be a relatively easy week.

I saw my gp today for my 32 week app and she said the baby has finally moved head down, all was fine and got to hear a strong heartbeat alongside lots of movement which was lovely...

Tonight I have written out my online food order, list of foods I'm going to batch cook, list of things I'm going to do on mat leave before baby comes and I've looked at and freaked out at hospital lists - a very productive night Grin

Marchgirl · 14/07/2015 09:50

Hello all.
I'm a (very) long term lurker so I feel like I know you all already, but it's time I introduced myself. I'm 37, dh is 45. We have a dd who is 3 next month. I've had 5 MC in the past 18 months, at varying stages from 4+2 to 12+1.
Today I'm 4wks pg and seriously in need of some posifrickingtivity. Already had two spells of spotting, and seriously doubting if this one will make it but I'm trying to be hopeful. If I can make it to 5 weeks it's longer than the last two. I'm going to be a total basket case.

Waves to the rmc peeps Grin

cloudjumper · 14/07/2015 10:19

Hello march Fingers crossed this is your sticky one! Are you on any meds at all now? I know it's probably not much consolation, but I spotted for over 4 weeks with this pg, all ranges from brown, red, more and less, and I'm still here... But I guess we all agree that the first trimester is brutal. Have a hand-hold!

zeux That is brilliant news about your Harmony test! What a relief! Do you think you'll be able to relax a bit now?

Good luck for those with scans today xx

cava Productive indeed! I am also a list-writer, and it seems that DS has inherited that from me - he's obsessed with writing list, at the tender age of 4! But nothing more satisfying than crossing things off Grin

mrsD Don't feel bad - for the last 2 months, all I have been able to do with DS is watch TV or read stories, any physical stuff is left to DH. I do feel guilty about it sometimes, but DS certainly does not seem to mind at all, and as long as he's happy, so what? You do what you have to do to get by.

Marchgirl · 14/07/2015 10:37

I'm just on pred at the moment cloud. Should start progesterone now but I'm scared to in case it brings on another chemical (I have no proof it affected the last two, the prof thinks they were bad eggs but I'm not sure)
Rang the consultants sec yday to book 6wk location scan ready for starting the heparin. She was so lovely and greeted me like an old friend Hmm and said she'd only just had my file out 10 mins earlier. So i should hear in a few days when the first scanxiety begins. Shock

cloudjumper · 14/07/2015 11:26

march Why would progesterone bring on a chemical? It's meant to support implantation and progression of early pregnancy, isn't it? I've been on it since BFP and am only now weaning off because I'm scared to stop it.
I'm also on heparin and aspirin, and will have to take those for the whole of the pregnancy, oh joy.
Great that your consultant actually remembers you, that's really rare! In spite of all my mcs, I have not met the same person twice during all those appointments (apart from when I went private). I do, however, recognise most of the staff in the EPU now...

Marchgirl · 14/07/2015 12:33

It's actually her secretary that remembers me and is lovely cloud! The consultant herself is a bit of a stubborn cow who has been no help at all.

The prog thing is because my last two have been very early after taking prog from 7dpo. Prof b said in some people, it can act as a contraceptive, and advised that as I've taken it 4 months from 7dpo without a successful pg i should drop back to taking it from bfp only. I'm worried the last 2 losses were 'contracepted' (like I said, he doesn't think they were, just bad eggs). Now scared that if i start it this one will mc too. More spotting and cramping just now so might be academic.

mrsdiddlydoo · 14/07/2015 12:45

cava happy last week at work! You sound super organised with your shopping and lists.

Hi march! When do you plan to start taking the progesterone?

Great news zeux

mrsdiddlydoo · 14/07/2015 12:45

Good luck to those with scans today. Hope they go ok

dobbythedoggy · 14/07/2015 13:01

Saw a heartbeat and squigle of a tiny baby! The consultant was able to see it right away after saying she didn't think she'd be able to see anything. Measuring 6+1 so still very early days. Wonderful to know everything is ok for now.

cloudjumper · 14/07/2015 13:21

Yay dobby Great news!

Marchgirl · 14/07/2015 13:41

Great news dobby!

Starting to think i might take it from tonight diddly, in the hope it will stop this spotting.

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 14/07/2015 14:04

Anomaly scan went well! Seems everything is normal and it looks like we're having a girl !!

The day didn't start off too well as my OH was 25 mins late to the appointment Angry luckily appointments always seem to run late, he was embarrassed though having to explain why I was balling my eyes out in the waiting room !

Took a while with the scan too, had to get up and have a good walk as she had literally curled up in the corner ! Seems I have an anterior placenta too, which I was surprised about as I seem to have no problem feeling movements, but maybe I should feel them more, don't know as this is my first ! Still can't believe we've made it this far Smile

Hi march, keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

Congrats on a lovely scan rebecca :) Glad all is going well.

Great news that things are looking good dobby :)

We had a 4d scan yesterday (2nd attempt) and we're able to see a little more :) Excited to meet him now. 9 weeks 4 days to go! (Til due date :p)

Metalhead · 14/07/2015 16:07

Great news ladies, and a lovely picture too rebecca!

I've got a really bad back and achy pelvis today, but already felt lots of movements this morning so hopefully it's just stretching/growing pains.

mrsdiddlydoo · 14/07/2015 16:54

Great news dobby and Rebecca! Good scan news always cheers me up!

cavamonster · 14/07/2015 23:12

Welcome march. Another progesterone taker here, took it straight away, it was trying to get me to stop was the issue I was petrified of doing something different! I'm coming up to that stage again as I stop my aspirin at 34 weeks and I don't want to but think its safer for delivery so I'll need to.

cloud I'm loving your 4 year old writing lists!! I'm starting to think my list writing is just a way of trying to put off actually putting a hospital bag together, every time I go to start I get so emotional that it might actually be happening and change my focus to something else Grin

Lovely scan news today!! Congratulations on a girl rebecca

metal I had a lot of that so I'm sure that's exactly what it is.

Who is due next?? I'd offer to do the stats but I'll be truly useless at it!!

Brummiegirl15 · 15/07/2015 06:54

Ooh hello March

I've been a bit quiet on here recently but need to get back in to swing of things. I'm 11 weeks today Shock
And have got my 12 wk scan next week - can't quite believe I've got this far already

And can't believe how far along some of you when I was on the mc boards with after my 1st / 2nd it's wonderful

brickiemum2 · 15/07/2015 07:07

I've not had a great couple of days....very very scary. I've made a post about it, here's the link to save me typing it all out again. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2425853-subchronic-hematoma

cavamonster · 15/07/2015 07:32

brickie oh you have had a scary couple of days! seems though there are a few people who can offer reassurance on the thread. I know nothing about SCH but hope you are resting and doing all that you can to relieve the anxiety. Fingers crossed it all quietens down for you.

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 08:17

That sounds scary brickie. I hope things have settled down now and you don't have any more bleeding

Nousername2015 · 15/07/2015 08:25

Sounds like such a scary time brickie but it sounds like there is a positive outcome for you. Hope everything continues to stay ok for you, keepings fingers crossed here.

I don't mind having a go at posting a stats update later when I'm back home, think theres baby purple and the 3 or 4 newbies to add. If anyone needs anything amending speak up now! Never done anything like this before so making no promises it will work!

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 09:30

Thanks nouser. I'm going to be brave/positive and ask to be added

Marchgirl: 37, 1DD, 5MC, EDD 22nd March

Is that all you need? Just writing that for the stats I realised that my name matches my edd month (i was Marchgirl long before this pg and for a different reason) I really hope that's a sign that this one works out!
