How is your lovely new addition settling in, small?

How is everyone else doing? Hope you're all having a fab weekend.

My nausea is fucking horrendous today Envy. None of my usual tricks working.

Do babies have growth spurts in the womb? I'm just so totally wiped out today-for no particular reason. Anyone else feel like this?

Littlelady33 · 05/07/2015 17:11

Congrats small! Baguettes I also have had days with plenty of energy and others where I just need to nap. Actually able to give in to that urge today and it was marvellous!

Baguettes · 05/07/2015 17:18

Glad it's not just me, little. Have just persuaded DH to give DS his bath so I can MN relax on the sofa. After I had finished throwing up my lunch and afternoon snack, of course Hmm

thesmallbear · 05/07/2015 17:21

So this will be the last stats update from me. Baby smallbear added to the bottom of the thread babies list. Someone else will have to take over now Wink

I'm not long back from the hospital and will post a more thorough update/synopsis when I've settled in a bit more and am a bit more relaxed. Good luck to you all with your pregnancies and births Grin

oh small i have been watching for an update from the other day. congratulations!!!!! what a beautiful name. hope you are both well. awwww lovely!

Thepurplegiraffe · 05/07/2015 21:17

Thanks Smallbear, looking forward to your update.

I can't believe I am 2nd on the list. Baby is coming on the 8th so just a couple of days now, feeling quite nervous about it all.

mrsdiddlydoo · 06/07/2015 19:18

purple so close! Hope everything goes ok. Will be waiting to hear your news.

Thank you for the updated stats smallbear! Well done in keeping it so well updated. I'm not a very organised person so doubt I should be responsible for it but happy to share doing it every so often. Hope Esme is being smothered in cuddles.

I am still struggling with nausea. It had eased up by now with DS. At least it's a bit reassuring. My belly seems to growing exponentially but it could just be all the lentil bolagnese I ate an hour ago. Trying not to feel like I've tempted fate but gave in and bought some reduced maternity work trousers online this afternoon. Oh and some Xmas presents... Barmy or what but everywhere seems to have a sale and if I'm having a Dec baby I need to be organised.

Hope everyone is ok

cloudjumper · 06/07/2015 19:42

mrsD I hear ya with the nausea, I'm also still struggling. Had hoped it'd have stopped by now, but I still have days (like today) where it's constant, and I still have to make sure I eat in regular intervals.
The latter has been detrimental for my waistline... All my clothes are now distinctly uncomfortable, apart from my stretchy dresses Blush I need to check my old maternity clothes, but I need stuff for work, more than anything.
I hadn't even thought about Christmas presents, good point! My EDD is now the 1st January, but it is very likely that it'll arrive sooner...

My constipation is slightly better, although bowel movements are so uncomfortable. But I now have piles. Which bleed. Great Angry

broodylicious · 06/07/2015 19:46

Nearly there, purple! Can't wait to hear the announcement on Thursday Smile xx

mrsdiddly, I'd say buying Xmas presents proves you are actually rather organised WinkGrin

Had my 38 week appt today. Blood pressure is great, lowest it's been for a long while, and baby is 3/5 engaged with a lovely strong heartbeat. Only issue is that I'm still anaemic Confused Got a plan for upping my iron intake but I don't have an appt now until 41 weeks (when I'm hoping I'll have baby in my arms rather than still in utero!!) so I'm kinda on my own. Come on baby, let's just get you out!

broodylicious · 06/07/2015 19:48

cloud, midwife asked me if I'm ok today and I said "yep, fabulous, thanks. Apart from the swollen hands and feet because of the heat. Oh and the piles. And the thrush. Yep, I'm loving this stage of pregnancy!" ConfusedGrin

happygojo · 06/07/2015 21:53

Hi all,
Yup broody the last trimester is aaaallll glamour eh!?

I am 35 weeks today and even though everything has been fantastic so far, I am terrified of something bad happening. In some ways it is worse now baby is definitely viable... I dunno... I suppose this worry and fear is all about being a mum. I spent so long trying not to 'jinx' the pregnancy, but now I have bought pretty much everything and had a baby shower etc..... Bah! So hormonal!

broodylicious · 06/07/2015 22:30

Oh how I understand that, happy! I convinced myself last night and this morning that I was going to lose the baby because movements had been reduced/not as kick ass as usual. I was sure that it was because yesterday, I'd bought the Moses basket into our room and set up the bassinet and rocker downstairs. Naturally, after my first glass of water this morning, the little bugger was off doing acrobatics as normal and all was well at the mw this afternoon. It just feels so scary now we are at the end - or as near as damn it - like I've got even more to lose now. Especially as dd keeps talking to bump, rubbing it gently, saying how much she loves baby and has wrapped up the presents she's giving him/her when they first meet. Hormonally messy! Xx

Littlelady33 · 07/07/2015 07:59

37+4 here and also hormonal as hell! Almost burst into tears at thought of getting tube on 7/7 so am now sitting on world's slowest bus (turns out lots of people might have thought the same) thinking about all the things that could sill go wrong! And convincing myself I've jinxed things by starting to pack a hospital bag. It also turns out I really don't know what should be in my hospital bag. Nearly there ladies!

Treaclepie19 · 07/07/2015 08:03

I know what you mean ladies.
Im only 29+3 but just feel so nervous I'm going to do something wrong and ruin it all.
We had our 4d scan yesterday and baby was in the wrong position to see him. She had to push quite hard and my stomach was aching all night. So I started worrying we shouldn't have had it.
They've offered us a free one for monday and I almost said no because I'd got so paranoid.

I can't wait til he's here and safe.

OP posts:
broodylicious · 07/07/2015 08:16

Hugs treacle and little xxx

happygojo · 07/07/2015 08:50

I had a scan last week because they thought baby was a bit small. Her measurements are perfect though, pretty much of the 50 centile line, her head and belly are ever so slightly above but her daddy has a big head and a big belly so it figures! However there was a comment on my scan notes that said 'Liquor volume = 89mm (just above 5th centile)'...... It doesn't say anything else apart from that I am being referred back to the MW, they didn't say there was anything to worry about.... however.... I am worried that she doesn't have enough fluid, or that I am leaking (I have a leaky bladder so not sure I would even know!). I am upping my fluid intake as much as I can as I hear this can help. I think I am just so scared.

Treacle sorry your baby was being awkward! they do these things. My baby wouldn't stay still to get measurements and it took ages at my growth scan. Try not to worry and hopefully he will be in a more co-operative mood on Monday.

Little I felt the same about the hospital bag, well baby's anyway. I figured that after a certain point, that regardless of what happens, I needed a hospital bag. I packed baby's this weekend though.... adding to the anxiety. Apart from it being 7/7, I do not envy you on London public transport, in summer, at 37 weeks pregnant! you crazy fool!

I finish work on Thursday, but because they are closing the building..... I am leaving forever..... it is really strange

Littlelady33 · 07/07/2015 10:36

Happy sounds like something to raise with your midwife next time - it's so hard not to worry but they would have flagged it if they were concerned. Hurrah for finishing work this week too, my last day is Friday there's been plenty of days I haven't thought I'd make it this far and might bail out sooner but with a quite limited maternity package I felt I couldn't justify it unless something got in the way (met a woman with severe SPD recently and realised that bad though my back is I'm lucky)
