Hi carrotpuff lovely to see you here Smile
smallbear I hope all is well and you are enjoying newborn cuddles?

mrsdiddlydoo · 03/07/2015 14:39

Big wave to carrot! Lovely to see you here Smile

Have been keeping up with the thread since getting back from our camping trip but nausea has returned with evengence. Didn't last this long with DS.

Littlelady33 · 03/07/2015 15:11

Cloud when I was quite sick I found bananas and grapes the most palatable - they are less acidic than say apples which can be stomach turning. Have you tried swimming? I'm really tired until I get into the pool then I find the water makes me much more alert!

CarrotPuff · 03/07/2015 15:19

Thank you for the welcome everyone, some familiar faces Smile lovely to see you again on this side!

My body is having a big clear out today Hmm which is new! I wonder if it's something I ate, a symptom or the nerves Confused

We are going away tomorrow to visit my family for 2 weeks and I really don't want to tell them yet... It's way too early... Not sure how I'm going to hide the non drinking part for 2 whole weeks!

WombOfOnesOwn · 03/07/2015 15:57

Had early scan, due date revised to February 20, everything looks great, got to see a nice strong heartbeat. Not-so-secretly hoping this is a Leap Day baby (women in my family always go to 41-44 weeks).

WombOfOnesOwn · 03/07/2015 15:58

Take magnesium to relieve pregnancy constipation. Works a treat and doesn't lead to any urgency issues or anything else. :)

cloudjumper · 03/07/2015 16:20

womb Great news about your scan! How many weeks are you now? I am still getting confused having to switch from EDD by LMP to EDD by dating scan...
That sounds very intriguing about the magnesium for constipation - can you get it from the pharmacy?

little I'm not much of a swimmer, and there is no pool anywhere convenient for me (excuses, excuses, I know!) Smile

carrot Well, either use the old excuse that you are on antibiotics or any drug that doesn't allow you to drink, or pretend to be on a health mission? Or, take one drink and then pretend to sip on it throughout, while swapping glasses with your DH when possible...

Littlelady33 · 03/07/2015 16:53

Cloud that's a shame! I remember you saying you did lots of exercise before? I was the same it was hard to know what to do during pregnancy - interval training didn't seem appropriate anymore! If it helps when I did use the gym rather than pool (I've just stopped as the aircon isn't strong enough!) I used machines just gently - step, cross trainer etc - apparently the heart rate at 140 things is quite debunked now, it's best to just 'feel like you can have a conversation'. I also saw my PT and did some conditioning work with TRX straps, again nothing too strenuous but just to keep it all moving!

Baguettes · 03/07/2015 17:04

Just popping on v quickly to say thank you for the good wishes - they worked! Here's baby baguettes at 10 weeks. We got waves and kicks.

Hope everyone is ok xx

Hurrah baguettes!

Nousername2015 · 03/07/2015 17:42

How lovely baguettes!

To those with, ahem, number 2 'delays' - I havent had it in thia pregnancy but a couple of weeks ago I really fancied lamb tagine so made one. Let's just say I think prunes will help you along if you need it!

Metalhead · 03/07/2015 18:32

Great scan news topsy and baguettes!

Welcome to the madhouse carrot, wishing you a happy, healthy nine months.

I'm starting to struggle with back pain, today was particularly bad. I think it's because I'm sleeping awkwardly, I often wake up lying on my back which I know you're not supposed to at this stage (I'm 18 weeks on Monday). Going to try out a pregnancy Pilates class next weekend, hoping that might help a bit.

Metalhead · 04/07/2015 19:59

I just felt baby's first unmistakable kicks tonight, yay! Smile

broodylicious · 04/07/2015 20:09

Hi all, I haven't read back through the thread. Just to let you know that baby Esme Alice arrived at 00.45 this morning. The labour was v long and pretty brutal tbh. But worth it to finally have our baby girl safe with us. On the postnatal ward at the mo & will post a stats update etc when I'm home.

Baguettes · 04/07/2015 21:27
