Bumble - I started the heparin from BFP, but my situation is different, I'm not taking it because of the mcs, but because I had a DVT a few years ago.
I think most of those who take it due to their mcs usually have a location scan around 4-6 weeks to check if the pg is in the right place and then start it.

BumbleBee0 · 25/06/2015 10:29

Thanks cloud. Yes I'm meant to get a scan first (as per coventry protocol) but feeling anxious that my local scan won't be sorted til 6-7 weeks which feels too late. I'm going to call Coventry and see what they say. I'm only managing to be 'calm' for a couple of days then start getting anxious about the next step...Confused

Littlelady33 · 25/06/2015 11:00

Relieved to say that baby has been thumping me almost consistently since last night. Phew. He must have been just having a sleepy afternoon. He's also much much lower - I'm 36wks on Saturday does that mean he might be 'engaged' or moving into position for birth!?

broodylicious · 25/06/2015 13:16

little, big sighs of relief for you! Exciting that lo could be getting into position too. When was your last mw appt? It should say how/if engaged you were on your notes - if you weren't engaged, it'd say "free".

Nousername2015 · 25/06/2015 13:20

Question for you: is anyone on here a migraine sufferer? Have you found that they have improved or got worse with this pregnancy?

brickiemum2 · 25/06/2015 13:38

I am nouser and I've always found my migraines worse during pregnancy. As could have been predicted they are pretty bad just now (started at about 10 weeks I reckon)

Boozle80 · 25/06/2015 13:58

Hey all, welcome to the world baby Mhairi, the most beautiful little girl :). Giving birth really chuffing hurts but is worth every little bit :).

happygojo · 25/06/2015 14:01

Hi Nouser I am a migraine sufferer and for the first trimester I REALLY suffered. I had them weekly and they were lasting 2-3 days, often putting me to bed for 18+ hours at a time. I have had them since I was a kid but have become so used to relying on triptan tablets that it had been a long time since I had 'rode one out' with only paracetomol.

The good news is though that I haven't had a headache since about 18 weeks and before that they started to ease. Now I don't even get them when I would normally have got one pre-pregnancy. It is like a little migraine holiday! I am hoping it lasts until I stop BF but they might come back as soon as I deliver Sad. I am now 33 weeks.

happygojo · 25/06/2015 14:03

BOOZLE!!! how amazeballs! congratulations! I hope I am not being stoopid but how do you pronounce her name? a bit like 'Mary'? Anyway YAY FOR YOU!

Metalhead · 25/06/2015 14:05

Oh wow, congratulations boozle! I guess those pains last night weren't Braxton Hicks! Smile

Nousername2015 · 25/06/2015 14:16

brickie sorry to hear they are bad for you. Can i ask what your triggers are? Ive had them since i was small but noticed as i got older that i could link them to my cycle. Had a bad one the day i got my bfp but then nothing until Tuesday where i got crippled for 24 hours which has now got me feeling a bit paranoid. Its interesting that you said you are struggling a bit at 10 weeks with them, im 10+1 today, i wonder if theres a hormone surge that goes on at this time?

bythesea82 · 25/06/2015 14:17

boozle just coz I want to say it again on another thread, congratulations Grin

Nousername2015 · 25/06/2015 14:18

Oh wow, congratulations boozle! GrinFlowersStar

Boozle80 · 25/06/2015 14:20

It's pronounced mar-ree- it means most wanted and loved child :) xx

WombOfOnesOwn · 25/06/2015 14:29

Well, today the spotting seems to have gone away overnight, instead of getting worse or redder. Whew. I think I'll still be terrified for, oh, the next 33 weeks...but I have made it another day...and I'm as of 4 days ago more pregnant than I've ever been.

WombOfOnesOwn · 25/06/2015 14:29

And omg, congrats, Boozle! A friend of mine also gave birth yesterday, it must have been a great day for babies.

thesmallbear · 25/06/2015 14:47

Many congrats Boozle, I don't mind that you jumped ahead of me in the queue Wink What a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning.

Boozle80 · 25/06/2015 14:57

Hehe, apparently I said at one point last night "this can't be real labour, it's not my turn!"

thesmallbear · 25/06/2015 15:00

Boozle was she born today? Just so I have the date for the stats. And her weight if you want that adding.

BumbleBee0 · 25/06/2015 15:01

Yey for boozle and welcome little Mhairi! Grin Xxx

brickiemum2 · 25/06/2015 15:04

Congratulations boozle
nouser yes, it's hormone related and due to hcg dropping and progesterone rising. Also if you are carrying a boy they start producing testosterone soon which could be an influence. I've had one of each and my migraines were worse with my son.

gingerbreadmam · 25/06/2015 15:10

congrats boozle, lovely name for a lovely little girl. hope you are making the most of newborn snuggles!

Boozle80 · 25/06/2015 15:25

She was :) and she weighed 8lb 9.5oz :)

happygojo · 25/06/2015 15:27

Boozle LOVE the name and the meaning is so lovely. You have made me smile on a really pants day (work stuff.... bump is the least of my worries today.... for once)
Brickie and Nouser My mum had no migraines at ALL with my brothers and horrific ones all the way through with me..... I am having a girl and they were only horrific at the beginning. Migraines are so weird. Medical professionals don't even know the ins and outs of them.
