small just be gentle to start the perineal massage and gradually increase the amount of stretching.

Make sure you use an oil, i used vit e oil, but you can use others. To start, just use your thumb and oil and put the end of your thumb inside and gently push outward in all directions, donthat for a few days then use two thumbs at the same time, or fingers. It may sting a little and if it does dont stretch any further.

It really works, bit icky to do, but i think it works. I did it with ds andonky had a small internal tear

On another note i seem to have a bump all of a sudden! 19w now and looking preggers! I am having a moany day though, full of cold and hayfever, all the sneezing has given me a migrane :(

Morning - I've been keeping up to date with everybody's news but I still feel like I'm tempting fate if I post anything - stupid I know. Anyway I was convinced I was starting to miscarry at the weekend as I had some brown blood when I wiped, pregnancy symptoms disappeared over night and also a dull ache but I had a scan this morning at EPU and the wriggler is doing fine! It actually looks like a human now and not a blob and even better they have put me forward to 11+1. I might finally get a midwife booking in apt now although because of my age I will be consultant led. Another scan and Harmony test next Mon so the stress will be ramping up again. Fx for everyone else. Smile

BumbleBee0 · 24/06/2015 11:47

Glad your scan went well picnic and the little one is fine. Smile

Littlelady33 · 24/06/2015 11:53

Am now stressing about movements... Was just a matter of time! He's moving pretty often still but it's quite different - not exactly kicks or punches anymore, which I'm guessing is just because he has no space? He's certainly packed on the pounds a but just lately which i assume is related. God the list of things to worry about us endless. Does that kind of 'Different' movement sound familiar?

Great news picnic!

nicnicspicnic · 24/06/2015 15:25

Thanks Bumblebee0 and mrsdiddlydoo Think I spent the whole weekend going from - yes it's a miscarriage to maybe it's ok and back round again in circles. I had tears in my eyes during the scan this morning.

Treaclepie19 · 24/06/2015 15:40

I agree little, my movements have changed but they shouldn't decrease.

llama often the movements hurt me. Think he's just jabbing at organs :p

little when I was pg with DS in the later stages I didn't feel movement for long lengths of time but they were still frequent. I recall my mw saying it's fine as long as there's still frequent movement, but as they get bigger they just don't have the room to make big movements. I think count the kicks has some good guidance on movements which might help put your mind at ease.

Littlelady33 · 24/06/2015 16:18

Thanks all he's still moving several times an hour just felt lately as though it is with less force! But still super regular, I guess inevitable that it changes. I also swear there's a correlation between me waking up one day feeling loads bigger and him having a brief quiet spell! Work is a bit crazy so it's hard to keep track. I'll go home and concentrate on movements a little more then if I'm concerned at all overnight I'll go in first thing.

thesmallbear · 24/06/2015 17:05

Thanks for the perineal massage advice Topsy34 and enviousllama. I'll have another go tonight and be a bit gentler Blush

I went in for reduced movements on Sunday. My baby has never really had a pattern (the anterior placenta doesn't help) and definitely has quieter days. However, on Sunday I felt like she had been particularly quiet. However, as soon as they hooked me up to the machine she started moving about like a crazy person and was moving for most of the hour. Typical! Happy she's ok though! The machine also showed that I'm having lots of Braxton Hicks Shock.

Has anyone heard from WrappedInABlankie? Her due date was on Monday. After her, I'm next on the list. Due a week tomorrow Shock

thesmallbear · 24/06/2015 17:06

I can go for a few hours without feeling my LO. That's just normal for me though.

Littlelady33 · 24/06/2015 17:17

He's making his presence felt again now I've had a sugary drink. Will definitely pop in tomorrow if I'm worried though. I've now been worried for 35 bloody weeks....! Cannot wait to get to the end and meet my little one - and worry about a whole load of other things!

Boozle80 · 24/06/2015 21:24

My movements have changed a fair bit over the last week - it's gone from a rolling around kind of wiggle to definite arms and legs waving around. Getting loads of pains tonight and can't work out if it's Braxton Hicks or the little one putting its arms in antisocial places!

tigermilk · 24/06/2015 23:31

Hi all. Just got my hCG levels back after the second draw. Have been searching online a bit to check they're normal. I got 22,299 on Thursday, then 37,343 on the following Tuesday. So, they've not actually doubled after 5 days - which seemed sort of alarming to me. But midwife doesn't seem concerned, and some sites seem to suggest that they rise more slowly after they reach higher figures. Anyone have any experience with this? I was hoping for some sort of clarity/reassurance from the test, but the general doubt/anxiety continues! Still don't feel at ALL pregnant.

WombOfOnesOwn · 25/06/2015 03:00

Oh shit. Went to the toilet and found a bunch of brown blood on the paper and a spot on my undies. It's been about 3 hours since then and there has been no further blood.

I'm not having cramping (well, no, that's not true--I've been having very minor pelvic pain since 2 days before I got my BFP, but it's certainly not more severe or constant than it was before). My cervix is closed and I peed on a test for the first time in a week and found it was far darker than before (the control line is now very light compared to the test line, the opposite of my first BFP!).

So now I....wait. I'm not going to the doctor because I live in the States and my insurance starts July 1. Until then I'm gong to be terrified. Please, PLEASE send me some good vibes. I am panicked. This isn't how my miscarriages started beforethose started with cramping and red bloodand that gives me hope, but not enough. I'm so scared this will just never happen for me. I always wanted a big family...now I would settle for one healthy baby.

BumbleBee0 · 25/06/2015 03:38

Hi womb, it does sound like your brown spotting could be implantation bleeding as it doesn't sound like there was much there? As for the pelvic pain, there's a lot of growing going on down there so completely normal to have muscle pain, sharp twinges and many women have period type pain aswell. Sorry you're feeling worried. Fingers crossed it's not what you think it is and your little bean is ok. xxx

BumbleBee0 · 25/06/2015 03:44

tiger how many weeks are you? I was under the impression that once the pregnancy was seen on us then hcgs were no longer checked as they can be unreliable and vary between women so much. You've probably stumbled across this already but it gives some useful info about hcg leveks and how the rate slows the further on you are...www.babymed.com/is-my-hcg-blood-level-normal

tigermilk · 25/06/2015 04:59

Oh womb, so sorry you're worried. Sending you masses of positive vibes. It does sound like it's totally different from the previous miscarriages, which must be a good sign, and as bumble says, brown spotting is normal and can be implantation or a number of other things.

Bumble, I'm just seven weeks, so haven't had an ultrasound yet. My midwife offered the hCG tests as I mentioned I'd had reduced symptoms. Thanks for the link, that is really reassuring and hadn't come across it. I knew it took longer for them to double once over a certain level, but it's really good to know that 'four or more days' is totally within the normal range.

BumbleBee0 · 25/06/2015 05:23

Looks like you're on track then per the hcg table tiger. Do you think you could wangle a scan? Or failing that book a private one? Then hopefully it would put your mind at ease.

Littlelady33 · 25/06/2015 07:59

Womb I'm so sorry you're going through this worry. I know that several ladies on this thread had some brown spotting and are now very far along with healthy pregnancies - it is a good sign that you don't have any heavier bleeding. Sending hugs and positivity your way

mrsdiddlydoo · 25/06/2015 08:18

womb spotting is always scary. Many of us have had spotting and are still pregnant. Try not to worry too much and take it easy.

tiger I get so confused with hcg levels. You don't have to feel pregnant to be pregnant. If the mw isn't worried, that must be a good sign?

Nousername2015 · 25/06/2015 08:22

womb I'm sorry to hear that you are spotting, it's terrifying isn't it? Is it around the time that your period is due as it could be related to your cycle. I had spotting (both brown and pink) at 7 weeks in a previous pregnancy, got it checked and everything was fine. The midwives explained that they see it a lot, they can't explain the cause if your ovaries look clear but they did say there's a possibility it is related to your cycle or just due to things moving about. Call your epu today and get checked, it will put your mind at ease. Best of luck Smile

thesmallbear · 25/06/2015 08:23

womb I had brown spotting with this pregnancy and I am 39 weeks today. I remember being terrified but it's worked out ok. FX for you Flowers

BumbleBee0 · 25/06/2015 09:48

I have a quick question re. Heparin/clexane, for those that have/are taking it, when did you start taking it?

I'm seeing my mw on Monday and she said she would send an urgent request for a scan asap but that the waiting list is sometimes 2 wks!!

I'm 4.5wks so want to start it asap. If it seems that it might take too long I was thinking of asking coventry, did they fit you in ok if you had yours there and was there a charge?

I could also go private locally if they do them that early, or thought of just starting the injections next week maybe, but that would be naughty (and risky although I do have fvl)!

Sorry, never been a quick question!!
