Great news raffertys

Hope yours goes well too nouser Not long to wait now (but it will feel like an age)

gingerbreadmam · 22/06/2015 13:10

oh lovely news rafferty so pleased for you. think ive cried at every scan ive had near enough!

im good thank you. massively relieved that there is nothing else abnormal showing up. still scared of what lies ahead but confident that we'll manage with it all. everyone is so supportive its overwhelming at times in a good way obviously Grin and whenever anything negative creeps to mind i just picture all the people saying 'its just a leg' 'everything will be fine' etc and all feels well again! thanks for asking.

Littlelady33 · 22/06/2015 13:31

Hurrah rafferty! No shame in crying I have at every scan so far and probably will next week at 36wks, which is one I've already got full on scanxiety shout

Nousername2015 · 22/06/2015 15:00

Another scan cryer here. Heartbeat seen, measuring bang on to dates and ive got a lovely picture of a little alien blob thing. Enjoying the happiness and relief before anxiety sets in again!

bythesea82 · 22/06/2015 15:04

Hi to all,
Just back from a lovely weekend in Ireland so catching up!

ginger great news Smile I am sure it can still be scary to know there are other things to tackle but I am sure you will manage just fine, remember we're here if you just need to talk about it.
phryn lovely post, lovely potos, lovely boy Grin
nouser hope the spotting stops quickly. I think the placenta floods with blood about 9-10 weeks and if there is anything old about, it can get dislodged? Really glad the scan showed everything is going well.
zeuxippe good luck for tuesday. Hopefully sickness disappearing is just getting out of the first trimester.....
raffertys woohoo for a good scan, great news Smile

All good here, coming up to 25 weeks. I am another one who is missing sleeping on my front but slowly getting used to sleeping on my side. Finding it easier to feel the movements now which is reassuring. Wishing you all a good week ahead Brew Cake

gingerbreadmam · 22/06/2015 15:10

thanks bythesea.

anyone struggling to sleep have you invested in a pregnancy pillow? i was never going to waste money on one but after suffering horrible aches in hips and legs that woke me got a cheap one from argos and that combined with the baby moving up i think has meant i sleep like a log at the moment and i kind of go into the recovery position into the pillow which stops me rolling onto my back too Grin

Littlelady33 · 22/06/2015 15:19

Hurrah nouser!

Raffertys · 22/06/2015 15:26

Yay nouser! That's brilliant Grin

little 36 weeks scan will be amazing. So glad to hear there are others who weep at the sight of a little thing on a screen. Rather undignified with the old dildocam in situ though Hmm

ginger Pregnancy (sausage) pillows are awesome. I wouldn't have got a wink when I was pg with DS without mine. I'm wondering if 8 weeks is too early to invest?!

Littlelady33 · 22/06/2015 15:32

Thanks raffertys I hope so! Completely agree with pregnancy pillow they really help especially to take the weight off my hips

Zeuxippe · 22/06/2015 15:37

Congratulations nouser and raffertys!! Really pleased your scans went well GrinFlowers

Well I threw up my tea last night (sorry if tmi) so that was reassuring at least! And have had to devour two paninis this afternoon to keep the nausea at bay...

Thanks for all the good wishes for our scan tomorrow. I'm a bag of nerves and keep having to run to the loos at work to have a cry. Scan is at 4pm tomorrow so who knows what state I will have got myself into by then!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Metalhead · 22/06/2015 16:17

Great news on the scans raffertys and nouser! And good luck for tomorrow zeux, fx you'll have a busy day at work to keep you distracted until 4pm.

I've also just had another scan and spoke to a consultant about my abnormal hcg levels. She couldn't really give me an explanation for it either, but has booked me in for two additional growth scans at 28 and 34 weeks just to make sure baby is developing normally - exactly the result I was hoping for! Smile

I also mentioned that I was going to ask the midwife at my 16 week appointment tomorrow to refer me for consultant care as I want to have an elective C-section, and she said "I thought you might, looking at your notes", so hopefully I won't have to fight for it. All told, today has been a very good day!

gingerbreadmam · 22/06/2015 17:39

i was aching quite bad by about 10 weeks i wish id bought mine sooner! was only £9 something from argos. theres a couple on emmas diary sale too.

BumbleBee0 · 22/06/2015 18:06

Hello!
Can I join please? (Although I think it's a bit premature as I'm only 4+1, eeek)
Not sure if you post stats on here but here's mine:
Me 29 DH 32 DS born aug13
Mmc1 sep14
Mc2 jan15
Currently 4+1 and on coventry protocol. Just got my meds today and couldn't shove them steroids in any faster.Blush (already on progesterone 2x400mg a day)

Unfortunately though my GP wouldn't refer me for a scan to start the heparin but he said the midwife would be in touch thur and sort it through her. Has anyone else had to do this via the mw?

I'm now going to try and catch up a bit on here. Noticed the stats at the beginning though and so many babies on the way...Smile

bluewisteria · 22/06/2015 18:19

Welcome BumbleBee, I hope it all goes well for you! The ladies here are an amazing support Flowers

mrsdiddlydoo · 22/06/2015 18:39

Great news nouser! And pleased you had a good one too metal. Good luck tomorrow zeuxippe.

Welcome bumble recognise you from the rmc thread. I think everywhere's different. My gp was hopelessly useless to start with prescribing the heparin and clexane (not on steroids, normal Unk cells). I resorted to going back to Coventry to get the heparin then after some persuading my gp did a repeat prescription. I'd wait to see what the mw says on Thursday and if she can't help go back to your gp. Can you self refer to your epu? Could you make an appt with them directly?

Nousername2015 · 22/06/2015 19:12

Thanks everyone. Hi bumble waves

BumbleBee0 · 22/06/2015 20:08

I'm not sure if I can self refer diddly, don't think so but will find out.

bluewisteria · 22/06/2015 20:27

I'm having lots of pain this evening, I think it is stretching, not sharp or sudden. But still pretty painful actually. I don't remember having this before, has anyone else?

Zeuxippe · 22/06/2015 21:17

Thanks everyone. Feeling strangely calm right now, will just have to see what tomorrow brings.

Blue, stretching pains can be quite normal. As long as the pain isn't accompanied by bleeding things should be fine. Can you get an early night and see if that helps? Hope you are ok.

bluewisteria · 22/06/2015 21:42

Thanks Zeuxippe, yes that's a good idea. Will be thinking of you tomorrow, hope it goes well. Are you still feeling nauseous? Flowers

Zeuxippe · 22/06/2015 21:48

Thanks blue! On and off with the sickness now. Trying to tell myself that's normal at this stage (12 weeks plus).

Hope the pain eases off very soon x

BumbleBee0 · 23/06/2015 00:54

blue I'm having lots of twinges and nips and sometimes sharpish cramps (more soon right side), which last a few seconds. I recall having all these with my son though so sure it's all normal.

Good luck for the scan tomorrow zeux x

cavamonster · 23/06/2015 04:58

Great news nouser and raffertys!! Really pleased your scans went well...Metal glad you got the extra scans you wanted. good luck for today Zuex and welcome Bumble.

Bumble/Blue I have had lots of niggles and aches from the early stages, think it's just your body adapting to all the changes going on.

little is it a private scan you are having or through the hospital? I'm unsure if I want another one, some may remember that at my 20 week they may or may not have slipped up and revealed the gender so I'm apprehensive of that being the case again but on the other hand it would be very reassuring to know all whats going on in there!

Another tummy sleeper here and feel exactly the same as broody! I've had a MASSIVE growth spurt over last few days and I'm now huge so just can't get comfortable even with my pg pillow, been awake since 2! I also feel as if I have thumper the rabbit in my belly - I've another 11 weeks to go - I'll be exhausted before the baby comes Grin.

LazyRohazy · 23/06/2015 05:26

Hello, can I join the thread? I'm newly pregnant and frankly terrified on another (m)mc.

Me: MMC @ 12wks (2004) - DD (2012) - MMC @ 9wks (Mar 2014) - MC @ 5wks (May 2014) - EDD 24 Feb 16

I'm only 4+6 but I'm already driving myself batty with worry, and I know I'm overanalysing every symptom (or lack thereof). And why has time slowed down to such a crawl? Gah!

cavamonster · 23/06/2015 05:40

Welcome lazy Congratulations. Unfortunately we can't make the time speed up to normal (god we have tried Grin) but lots of lovely ladies here to hold your hand through it!
