I'm 38+2, if the baby hasn't made an appearance by next weekend I'm being induced.

DH is convinced the baby is going to come early and every time I have a tummy cramp he is practically one foot out of the front door with the hospital bag! Grin

I think I'm going to be phenomenally bored over the next two weeks as I am having quite strong pelvic pains so walking and moving about is really quite painful.

Anyone else on the final countdown?

I can't wait to be able to roll over in bed without my whole pelvis making crunchy noises. Also looking forward to a large gin.

Baby wise. I just can't wait to see what he looks like, and seeing him with his dad is going to be amazing :)

Can I join you ladies? Im 38 weeks today, been getting period like cramps and lower back ache for a few days, losing bits of mucus plug on and off for a week or so, nesting like crazy and the newest addition is a mega increase in general discharge (sorry if tmi!)
Went at 40+3 with my first with no signs at all! Cannot wait to meet this little one Smile

I'm joining in too. 37+5 with a breech bloody baby that doesn't want to turn on its own yet. Think its lying transverse at the moment given how my side feels ready to burst when baby moves Confused

Scan on Monday to check position then a plan to be made if still breech. Eek!

Hope all those getting sweeps soon go on to have baby toot sweet!!

P's I sooooo can't wait for toast n pate, and a cold cold beer! Although I don't think that's a very good combination Wink

Can't wait to meet my little girl and see what she looks like, that first cuddle, seeing my DH's face, getting the whole labour ordeal out of the way so I can have my own birth story to terrify people with

For me: getting my body back, having a drink (although have reconciled myself to the fact it won't be happening anytime soon), no more rolling over in bed pain, no more heartburn, being able to run, rediscovering my libido (gotta be around somewhere), wearing something that isn't stretchy or soft....I could go on!! Basically, just not being preggers Grin

Due date today!! Cannot wait for this baby to arrive, hoping for a sweep at my MW appointment today!

Will also be looking forward to wearing normal clothes, have been living in leggings...

To everyone having sweeps please let us know if they get things started! I had 2 with my first and they didn't do much. Got one next week with my second and hoping because its my second my body will be more willing!!

I'm looking forward to having the baby here and seeing what they look like, if we have had a boy or a girl and just having a cuddle.

My pregnancy has flown by, it almost feels like there is hardly any time at all before my life changes completley!

I'm 40+3 today and fed up! Have been having cramps on and off for almost a week. I had a sweep yesterday and lost my plug last night. Got all excited but NOTHING has happened!

I was induced early with DS1 and it looked like I was going that way again with this one but we avoided it. I'll be very disappointed if I end up getting induced anyway next week.

Really looking forward to meeting my little boy.

Purplebiro- I really want to know about the baby's hair too! I've been having weekly scans and the sonographer pointed out hair on the scan. I'm really excited to know if she was right!

Lots more niggling pains front and back all day but nothing more than bad period pains really. Could feel baby pushing right down into my pelvis earlier i swear! Also been rather easy to set off crying too and I'm not an overly weepy person but today ive been weepy! How's everyone else doing this afternoon?

Seen the midwife yesterday and she said that the baby's head isn't engaged yet, just sat at the top of my pelvis. I feel so much pressure down there, though! I can't believe that the baby has even further to descend (before finally being pushed out, of course).

I haven't had any more stomach cramps today, no real signs that anything else is happening.

Can I join too? 38 weeks tomorrow. Not too uncomfortable luckily (hugs to the ladies with aches and pains) but have been convinced since early in pregnancy that I'd have my baby a few weeks early. Suddenly the reality that it could be a whole month more has hit me and it is a shock! This morning I started trying to do reverse psychology and told myself "OK, you have a whole month to go and you are going to have a lovely time sitting in the sun and reading books and eating ice lollies". Not sure I'm convinced yet though!

Sorry to all those of who who are having a difficult time.

I'm actually quite happy to go another week until my due date. I'm actually quite enjoying the pregnancy and want to make the most of the time. I am looking forward to meeting the baby though.

Looks like my sweep has done a big fat nothing apart from give me severe cramps for about 24 hours. I've lost a bit of my show but not much and I get the impression it doesn't mean much anyway. Ho hum - induction on Saturday it is then!

Oh and yes, turning over in bed not being complete torture and heartburn can both DO ONE.

There is but I think my body has taken the preserve-the-pregnancy route rather than the finish-the-pregnancy route, don't know why, just felt like it went into a sort of immediate heal mode. We'll see though, I could be wrong - have been feeling like crap today but will be doing lots of raspberry leaf tea and long walk tomorrow.

I am so asking the sonographer how much hair baby has!

I went for a walk today in town. Near broke me. Literally spent 20mins walking before I had to give up. Was sitting waiting on oh in train station near crying with pain. Blooming pelvic girdle pain. Plus braxton hicks.

I'm such a joy to be around just now. I think I may have to buy my OH a "thank you for putting up with me" present. (Plus something just for me GrinWink)

I've been joking with dp that I want an apple watch as a "I-made-you-a-baby" present (totally unrealistic, we could barely afford a casio at the moment!) but he deserves a present a lot more than me - I am NOT good company at the moment. Last night couldn't countenance eating anything until 11pm when I suddenly "needed" beans on toast so he had to drive out and find beans, poor man and done with barely a rumble of complaint :)

Big load of show arrived this morning - still no contractions, pain and only the odd braxtron hicks...but it's progress...

My show earlier this week has so far led to precisely nothing, even my braxton hicks seem to have slowed down. Went to consultant appt yesterday and they will induce if he hasn't arrived by the 12th, so on the one hand I'm glad I've got some kind of end date, but I was really hoping to go till the 5th so left feeling very deflated and sorry for myself. He is super super low so I'm bouncing on my ball hoping he'll nudge into action, but I'm starting to get the 'any signs yet?!' Messages, and when I say no (we aren't planning on telling anyone irrespective, I'm not performing under pressure!) I get the next wave of messages which are the 'ooh, have you tried curry or pineapple or nudge nudge, sex?' Hmm And quite frankly, it makes me murderous.
Also feel sorry for DH, he has been so good and I have been positively vile, although after yesterday's hospital episode he kept saying to Cheer up and not to be so disappointed which made me even more Confused. Lol.

OH was giving me a cuddle last night in bed and I told him "I hope you're not thinking of sex right now because the thought makes me feel ill, frankly". Poor poor guy. And I told him the other day that my tits have started to look like I remember my mum's when I was little. He is going to have PTSD at this rate.

lol teejayem those questions nd comments are also driving me mad! had a show durinf and after my sweep yesterday. Had really strong braxton hicks all evening but then was fine this morning. Although getting them a bit now, not as strong though.

Off for a walk in a bit to see if that helps, then raspberry leaf tea and ball bouncing.

Booked in for another sweep on Monday and induction on 8th June if she doesn't arrive before then.

purple that just made me snort my juice out. I got told last night there was no need for me to announce each bowel movement. I was trying to explain that needing to 'go' pain is like BH pain, but I swear eh has selective hearing.

My midwife told me and DH that we should get 'plenty of rumpy pumpy in' and to make sure we 'do it on all fours'

I was so Blush as was DH! Didn't know where to look. Our midwife is normally so prim and proper!

I keep,thinking I'm having stomach cramps that turn out to be trapped wind. So disappointing. Second sweep booked in for tomorrow.

I'm 38+5 and very fed up! Think a lot of it is to do with the midwife telling me 2 weeks ago that baby was 'deeply engaged' so expect her to come early! Still nothing. Just odd period pains and a lot of pressure down below when I'm walking. I've had increased discharge but still no show. Confused just can't wait for her to make an appearance now!
