I'm still hit and miss on movement too - one day there's loss and the next the baby's fast asleep. I've decided that as long as I think it's ok there's no point worrying unless it goes on for a few days. The panicking doesn't stop does it!

Littlelady33 · 07/05/2015 21:48

Thanks Boozle no the panicking apparently doesn't stop I've discovered that for someone with a tendency towards anxiety that pregnancy after MC if a quite stressful place!

Treaclepie19 · 07/05/2015 21:54

I've spent most of today panicking!

Had a constant ache like af cramps.
I've had it before but I'm so paranoid it'll be the start of something bad.
Scan on Monday! :)

My consultant told me today I needed to enjoy being pregnant more. I didn't hit him, I promise!

Allthefours · 08/05/2015 09:41

Hello ladies, can I join you all? I've been lurking for a while but not Plucked up the courage to join in! Slight case of paranoia! I'm 16+6 following a MMC and MC last year. Will be my fourth baby but 1st with my husband. I do not think my anxiety will ever go away until I have my baby in my arms, then it's a whole new level of anxiety!

My stats: allthefours, 41, 3 DC (20, 18, 15) 1MMC July 2014 @ 13 weeks, 1 MC Aug 14 @ 5+3 weeks. EDD 17th October 2015

happygojo · 08/05/2015 10:02

Welcome Allthefours!

Treacle I am aching a lot too, I had some below my bump but I think it is digestive, everything seems to have moved. How are you doing apart from that?

Bozzle my yoga teacher told me last night to enjoy the pregnancy as it is such a short time.... to be honest I am not sure how to enjoy it, maybe it is just one of those things people say

I asked my yoga teacher about my achey legs, they don't hurt as such but they just feel really heavy. She said I need to rest more which is probably true, I have been doing too much, but I hate feeling like I am not pulling my weight

thesmallbear · 08/05/2015 10:20

Welcome Jodiesaurus and Allthefours. I think I remember you Allthefours from the TTC after an MC thread.

happy - I have bought some support knee highs to wear under my trousers (I feel like a right granny), as I noticed a varicose vein pop up on my leg and I'm trying to ward off any others. They are supposed to energise your legs. I'm a bit hot and sweaty in them though Confused

broodylicious · 08/05/2015 10:41

allthefours, huge congrats!! Xxx

happygojo · 08/05/2015 10:59

small you will have to let me know if they work. Most of the time now I am in cropped trousers or leggings so not sure how stockings would work with them! Maternity clothes seem to assume women grow in height as well as girth when pregnant.

I HAVE been doing a lot though and not resting much. I am having a dedicated rest day on Sunday... in all seriousness I might not even get dressed lol!

Treaclepie19 · 08/05/2015 11:02

Welcome and congrats allthefours :)

I'm ok otherwise thanks happy :) Enjoying my pregnancy and feeling much better in myself. Eating like there's no tomorrow now... Just got back from my physio for PGP. She's given me some exercises and I've got to go back in 3 weeks time.
How are you?

OP posts:
Littlelady33 · 08/05/2015 11:35

Happy that's interesting you were told to rest more I'm wondering if I need to give in to the tiredness a little more! I'm still swimming every day (slowly these days) which feels great afterwards but in aching so much in my back by late afternoon. GP has recommended an osteopath I'll give it a go but maybe there comes a point where i have to slow down? Having never done this before and being stubborn I'm trying to just keep going but it's SO hard....!

happygojo · 08/05/2015 12:16

little Like everything in pregnancy you seem to be damned if you do and damned if you don't! I was brought up with the 'pregnancy isn't an illness' type mentality, but I am now realising that I cannot carry on like normal the whole time. I helped with decorating the living room last weekend and ended up feeling like I had run a marathon!

Impressed that you are swimming every day, I just don't have the time! I am trying to fit in doing my hypnobirthing CD but 38 mins of sititng still NOT at bedtime is quite hard, even though I don't have other kids.

I think we just need to try and listen to our bodies a bit

northdownmummy · 08/05/2015 13:11

Morning all.

I've had a very frauatrating morning. Has an appointment at the hospital because at my dating scan the midwife realised I should have been under consultant care rather than midwife.

Appointments were running late as usual. I was asked why I was here and explained that the consultant was to review the notes from my previous labour.
Finally got in to see her and no notes !!!! She asked me to request at reception that they're available for next time. I explained that I'd already done that 5 weeks ago. It's not like they need to travel far, it's the same hospital.

So without the notes and only my drug hazed recollections of the labour and being rushed off to surgery afterwards, I'm none the wiser. She wasn't able to give definite answers to any of my questions, more like "if such and such was the reason for your haemorrhage then it shouldn't be an issue this time but I'd need your notes to be sure" Arrgghhh

Only plus was that she did a quick scan while I was there so I got to see my little wriggler again.

Littlelady33 · 08/05/2015 13:12

Happy agreed I know that I'm getting tired but given my backache I think that keeping things moving and staying strong through exercise would be the best things to do? My PT is very experienced with pg women and has a brilliant 'you're pregnant - not injured' approach! I go before work for about 40 minutes, I go to bed incredibly early! And don't have a long commute. It's hard to fit in and the evenings are a write off. I've also realised today that staying up most of the night to watch election results before doing a full day of work might not have been so wise. Could I ask if you're finding hypno birthing useful? I'm thinking of trying.

Littlelady33 · 08/05/2015 13:13

North I'm so sorry you had such a frustrating morning but hurrah for seeing a wriggly bean!

happygojo · 08/05/2015 13:34

Hi Little I have only just started reading the book and haven't managed to listen to the CD yet (tonight is the night though!). I totally agree with exercise, I think it is the rest of life around exercise that I am not resting enough, like I don't really sit down until 9pm at night. I am not sleeping great either. My body is also REALLY feeling the weight gain. I would love to exercise more but I got rid of my gym membership when I moved house. I have been doing my yoga though, lots of walking and have been swimming.

North HOW annoying! At my hospital, they managed to look up computerised notes from a previous procedure I had.... it is crazy in this day and age that your details can't be securely found at the touch of a button!

longestlurkerever · 08/05/2015 18:20

Hello all. Well I started my maternity leave today! Have been looking forward to this day for over 2 years. Actually feel a bit flat though. Fucking election.

pizzakat · 08/05/2015 18:49

I've been feeling super energised today, new sofa was delivered after a month of living in bed and was a doddle to assemble, me and OH built our new coffee table in 30 mins when it said it would take an hour then also went and picked up our new TV so it's finally starting to feel like home again.

Then I realised I haven't had any morning sickness for the past two days Sad I'm 10+1 today and miscarried at 10+2 last time (according to size at our 12 week scan) and can't help but think something is wrong...

Treaclepie19 · 08/05/2015 18:53

Yay for maternity lurker! :)

I agree about the election though >.

longestlurkerever · 08/05/2015 19:01

pizza. I think you're at the classic stage for morning sickness to ease as the placenta takes over. Sympathise with the worry though

mrsdiddlydoo · 08/05/2015 19:33

longest hellooooo maternity leave! Big yay Smile hope you're doing something nice to celebrate. You deserve it.

pizza hooray for new sofa. That's your weekend sorted. One full of serious lounging! The worry never ends does it.

north what a rubbish hospital experience but it's always great to see a wriggly bean.

Are the aches better today treacle? I've barely had any this time so far which is a bit odd for me. Trying not to spend time thinking about it or I'll panic but figure maybe my body's getting use to this pregnancy malarky.

Big wave to everyone else.

I have battled through my 3 days of work this week with help from sneaky lunch break naps and now feel horrifically exhausted but secretly satisfied about feeling so, so sick. Messed up or what.

Littlelady33 · 08/05/2015 19:39

Longest hurrah for maternity leave! Pizza it's very common for sickness to ease at 10wks but totally understand the worry.

Treaclepie19 · 08/05/2015 20:02

Thanks for asking Mrs :)
They're not much better unfortunately :( I've got quite a sharp pain coming and going about an inch down from my tummy button and to the left.
I keep wondering if I should get it checked out but every time I've been they've just said it's stretching pains. I have my scan on Monday too.

Completely normal to be happy about feeling ill Mrs, I remember being sick and actually smiling :p

Like the ladies have said pizza, for some people when the placenta takes over the sickness stops :)
I know it's worrying though.

pizzakat · 08/05/2015 20:54

I know exactly how you feel Mrs & Treacle, I remember crying after my MC to my mum saying I'd never complain about ms ever again and being over the moon when it finally started this time!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance that has chilled me out a bit to know it's probably actually a good sign that means everything is going well x

Gr33dyeggs · 09/05/2015 08:59

longest how long do you have until edd? Relax and enjoy!

At 15 weeks now and sickness comes and goes pizza.

Hopefully the scan Monday can put your mind at rest a bit treacle
