Yayyyy the day has finally arrived for you :).

Good luck with the scan huni. Will log on later to see how you got on. xxx

I lifted DD into bed last night and strained two of my tummy muscles. I hope baby is ok :(.

keys27 · 06/05/2015 06:57

Just caught up on post sorry not posted for a while. guy amyyy* thanks for answering my questions guys. Even though I have had two before I was not sure what they were checking for I just thought was to check HCG levels.

Bris Try not to worry to much hun my symptoms have been in and off the amount of times the guys on here have reassured me. One day i felt sick then completely fine worried me so much. How far will you be on friday? The EPU said to me the 8 weeks mark is so important and the chances of mc are very low so I am sure you will be absolutely fine. Just feels like were miles behind everyone on the main scan. I have at least another 3 weeks to go yet :(. I dont know if anyone felt the 13 week mark went so slowly?

Good luck lost on friday with your scan :).

Do you think I should mention to EPU or midwife tomorrow ive pulled these muscles whilst lifting my 5 year old? I am not in pain i'm just worried. I have no choice lifting DD.

Bristolian1 · 06/05/2015 07:05

Thanks keys hopefully I'm just panicking about nothing as feel pretty rough again today! I'll be 8 weeks on Saturday, so even longer till the 12 week mark for me!! Is it your booking in today? Hope your tummy is ok, I'm sure your bean is tucked away from any harm.

keys27 · 06/05/2015 07:13

You never know hun the baby might be bigger than you expected on friday thats what happened to me. I will be 10 weeks on Friday but time is going so so slowly.

No tomorrow morning that kind of makes it more real. Have you heard from you midwife yet for your booking in? Thats what happened tome leading up to my 8 week scan I was panicking so much because my symptoms were just disappearing. Yesterday I had such a bad day with feeling sick and today woke up feeling ok so I suppose it varies hun.

xx

chasingtherainbow · 06/05/2015 08:12

My scan is a week tomorrow. should have been this morning I'm so so scared it's all I can think of.

Barbiedoll79 · 06/05/2015 09:09

I keep seeing people talk about the 13/14 week mark, I don't know if I am being stupid but I'm sure 3 years ago when I had my lg the first trimester and highest risk bit ended as soon as you hit week 12 is it now the beginning of week 13 or beginning of week 14 or end of week 14? Just wanna know when I can (try) and relax a bit more :-)

Good luck for the scans today look forward to hearing how they went x

Barbiedoll79 · 06/05/2015 09:12

Ps two weeks ago I had my last scan and I had had no symptoms for a week- when I said to the lady is epau they said oh well lets get you scanned (so should have been having symptoms still) but then showed a healthy little baby and then she explained that yor mind can trick you to protect you (mine had it rid of symptoms
To prepare me for negative scan) she said tomorrow i will have them
Again... Sure enough my symptoms came back. Next scan is saturday and my symptoms have gone again! So it's not always a bad thing if they go x

gennibugs · 06/05/2015 10:19

Just popping on to say good luck today amyy.

happygojo · 06/05/2015 11:56

Hi All, I still lurk on here despite being 26 weeks now. Anywhoo.... I just wanted to add a big GOOD LUCK to Amy for today. Also good luck to those who have scans this week. I send you all wriggly baby vibes

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 06/05/2015 12:03

Barbie, the risk of mc is the same at 13/14 weeks as it is at 10 weeks. The reason people usually consider 12 weeks as the safe zone is because they have a scan then. Whenever you have the dating / nt scan (11-14 weeks) and see a healthy baby, that's when most people relax a bit! Lots of people don't have a scan until then, so although they are in the safest zone statistically by 9/10 weeks, they don't know they are until that scan.
Keeping my fingers and my flaps crossed for Amyy and looking forward to done positive news from you today Smile

Barbiedoll79 · 06/05/2015 12:59

Thanks so much guy that's really helped and makes sense :-)

Thinking if you amyyy :-)
Wow happy that's amazing over half way :-) x

Amyyy27 · 06/05/2015 13:17

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your thoughts and kind words :) baby is perfectly fine, now measuring 13 weeks today. Pics aren't very clear as unfortunately I couldn't keep much water down :( but we did get to see baby moving loads which was amazing!! So relieved :) will post a pic when I get home later x

happygojo · 06/05/2015 13:17

Barbie at this stage symptoms do come and go. it is a GOOD thing because the placenta is kicking in and it means all the major development is done, as in your baby has all their bits and from now on they just need to grow and be refined

Yeah it is crazy. I found getting to 16 weeks was turning point for me. I heard the HB at 16 weeks and 17 weeks and started feeling baby at 18 weeks (quite early for a first baby, but I have a ninja in my tummy who seems to enjoy practising her ninja moves ALL DAY every day which is great but I am sure it isn't normal). Also time now flies but in the same breath, I feel like I have been pregnant forever. But all being well, by the time I have this baby I will have been pregnant for 46 weeks out of the last 52, as my EDD is a couple of days after I got my first BFP.]

Anyway.... only a few more weeks until time starts to fly and you can maybe try and enjoy your pregnancy

happygojo · 06/05/2015 13:28

Oh YAY Amyy!! Is that ahead or behind of dates (either way doesn't matter, all usually evens out in the end)

Thanks everyone! I'm a till finding it hard to believe! It's amazing how much the baby was moving and kicking and you can't feel a single thing! Can't wait to hear all of your good scan news next :)

happy 26 weeks.. wow!! Flying by! Well we had a private scan at 8 weeks and since then baby has moved ahead just a couple of days. So now I add a week every Wednesday instead of a Friday. Eek!

Not the best scan pics sorry everyone but here's a couple (we got given tons with them not being great!)

chasingtherainbow · 06/05/2015 15:16
