Happy bank holiday guys. Lovely bumps girlies :).

I have a fat bump. I just can not stop eating. Hoping in a few weeks this and my other symptoms are going to wear off. Shattered again today.

You handled it very lovely north hun. They must be so happy for you though.

Good luck with the end of the first trimester scans ladies for this week.

wispywoo1 · 04/05/2015 18:26

This was me today at 11+2 this morning. Now starting to notice my stomach doesn't go when I breath in. Can't just be bloat Grin

Gutted over here,I know I still have my 12 week scan to go but when I was having my ds if he was a girl we were going to call him Charlotte and we were going to use it if my little bean is a girl. I don't want her to be born in the year of Charlotte.

keys27 · 04/05/2015 18:41

Defo got some lovely neat bumps. I cant believe after all this anxiety were hitting 12 weeks and getting bumps. :). I am 9 + 3 today. I am getting there few more weeks i keep telling myself to keep busy. Blitz house today got DD's friends coming over for tea tomorrow and thursday. And got my booking in scan on Thursday :). Hopefully get a scan date and a date for my stitch which I am dreading as I will have to go under anesthetic and I am worried. But for the best I know.

On booking appointment guys do they take blood? What is it they check for?

Oh no foot :(. Charlotte is a lovely name and if you like it dont just not have it because they have. I can understand how you feel though. By the time the end of the year comes round hun people would of forgotten. If you was due in the next few months I would say you would get comments about naming her after the royal baby. I wouldn't care though personally if it was me hun. xxx

chasingtherainbow · 04/05/2015 18:50

I'd still use charlotte if you really love it foot .. it really doesn't matter. Xx

Wispy that's a proper little bump!

Gah. I just wish this scan would hurry up. 10 days.... 10 days.....

Amyyy27 · 04/05/2015 18:55

Another lovely bump wispy!

onefoot I too wouldn't worry about the name too much although I do understand. By the end of the year I don't think people will make the link. Plus it's a lovely normal name so there's no reason why people will think you must have copied and not just be a name you love :)

Bristolian1 · 04/05/2015 19:18

Lovely bumps ladies!! I've just got a carb belly Sad but only 7+2 here so there's plenty of time!

onefoot I totally get where you're coming from, I think I'd be a bit gutted too. I do agree with the others though - give your little one the name you love and sod everyone else!

I've had a really good day with hardly any symptoms, so naturally am really worried! Next scan a week on Thurs (the EPU have scheduled me in for another on for reassurance - they're so fab!) which seems like ages away. Maybe I feel better because I've had a restful weekend?

onefootinthebed · 04/05/2015 19:23

I just can not work out how to load my scan pictures or look at all of yours......what is wrong with me?

chasingtherainbow · 04/05/2015 19:24

One foot I'm on my phone using Internet. Below this text book is a smiley face. . Italic 'I' and a paper clip. Click on paper clip to upload a piccy. X

Amyyy27 · 04/05/2015 19:26

onefoot do to use the app? I had to change to the Internet as the app didn't let me see any pictures!

Amyyy27 · 04/05/2015 19:28

keys yes they take blood for a list of things, the few I can remember are gestational diabetes HIV and antibodies

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 04/05/2015 20:20

Booking bloods are for resus status / blood type, HIV, hepatitis, haemoglobin levels, blood sugar, immunity to rubella and then possibly some genetic diseases like sickle cell and thalassaemia (I think people of non-Caucasian ethnicities are more at risk so not sure if others are tested).

Amyyy27 · 05/05/2015 07:55

Morning ladies how are you all??

Had to ring in sick today, I feel awful having so much time off but this morning there's been a lot of sick and I'm choking on it every now and then I assume my throat must be so irritated it's swollen? Sorry that's gross! But on top of that gone light headed and not safe to drive so best off resting. I had actually wanted to work today to make the day go quicker for the scan tomorrow!

wispywoo1 · 05/05/2015 09:31

Hope you feel better soon Amy! Work should understand. Good luck for tomorrow.

I've ordered a doppler thingy off Amazon. Too scared to use it though incase I can't find anything. I won't know if it's just me not being able to do it or no baby Confused does anybody have one of these? Think I've ordered an angel sounds one??

gennibugs · 05/05/2015 09:43

Morning all.

amyy sorry you feel so unwell. you poor thing. Just rest and hopefully the day will go quickly for you. is your scan in the morning?

wispy I don't have a doppler, I think I would worry myself sick if I couldn't find anything! my friend has one and loves it, I think she's gotten really good at finding the heartbeat now but it took her a few goes and think it depends on baby's position too.

I had to get off the tube this morning to throw up mid journey. Thank god I remembered to keep some bags in my handbag for that very purpose. It was very embarrassing, I tried to be discreet and the platform was quiet so hoping no one really noticed. Wish I'd stayed at home now!!

epskie · 05/05/2015 10:18

Hi everybody, I've been keeping up with the thread but not posting as my anxiety has been getting the better of me, so trying not to post a million questions. Lovely to see lots of you flourishing and so sorry to those we've lost along the way Flowers
I too have rang in sick today due to sickness :-( I'm sitting here feeling so guilty about it but I felt dreadful. What have your employers been like amyy? I'm worried sick about it.

Oh by the way, do NOT read the placenta smoothie thread if you're feeling queasy Hmm

Amyyy27 · 05/05/2015 10:39

Thanks everyone, I had really hoped I would turn 12w and it would just vanish!

Sorry you ladies are feeling poorly too :(

My work are shit with me at the best of times.. its a very bitchy office so I distance myself to avoid it all. They have not been good with me being off but there is nothing they can do when it is pregnancy related.

I had hoped for a day of rest but my dog decided to poo all over the landing and whilst cleaning that up she pood all over our expensive rug which was a gift and is beyond salvage due to the material and design so will have to be thrown out. She also walked through it so had to break my back giving her a wash. She's now giving me her puppy eyes and shaking to make me feel bad! Bork Bork Bork Sad

Oh and I caught the placenta thread yesterday and vomited on reading it so I agree definitely avoid!!

Bristolian1 · 05/05/2015 11:06

Oh no Amy! Your day has not got off to a good start - hope you can get some rest when the dog stops pooing everywhere!
Epskie I'm right there with you on the anxiety front. I'm not sleeping at all and having trouble eating. My symptoms have got less pronounced too. Feeling really really worried Sad. Seeing GP today and got a scan at EPU on Thursday - I'm really struggling to function at work now. Sorry for the moan. I feel so moany and negative!

epskie · 05/05/2015 11:32

Dog poo and morning sickness?? You poor thing! And terrible that work are being shit about it, I think mine will be ok but I just hate the guilt that comes with sick leave :-(

bristolian will that be your 12 week scan? Anxiety is the pits, I can't seem to shake it.

Amyyy27 · 05/05/2015 11:59

Haha no the smell of dog poo is really not good for sickness!!

I feel very guilty too epskie but at the end of the day what's more important is keeping baby and yourself in the best environment where you can rest and recover :) well that's how I'm trying to think of it lol.

bristolian try not to worry that can be totally normal! And don't worry about moaning I think I'm top of the class for that haha but that's what this thread was made for :)

Bristolian1 · 05/05/2015 12:34

Nope Epskie I'll be just under 8 weeks. Wish I could just get it over with!

Barbiedoll79 · 05/05/2015 13:18

Wispy I have a Doppler- epau are dead against it but I still use it- they said its not for reassurance as it can give false thoughts that everything is ok and likewise can make you panic
They said they prefer people to use their instinct and factS eg reduced movement etc

It's hard to get a heartbeat- I managed today for first time at 12 weeks every other time I just got my heartbeat lol so swings and roundabouts tbh I use it but don't take the findings as gospel (although I have recorded the hb this time as it read 130ish and according to the Internet our hb is under 100 the babies is 120-180ish) hth oh and don't forget to buy the gel too :-)

LostMySocks · 05/05/2015 17:27

Hello ladies. I posted a while ago being worried about no symptoms at 5 weeks. The sickness arrived spot on at 6 weeks and I've felt dreadful ever since. Sorry to hear that you've all been suffering too, although as DH says at least it's probably positive. I'm now 11+5 and have my scan on Friday. Totally terrified of another MMC. I have no apparent bump, my boobs are the same size (blew up like balloons with DS). I know I'm lucky to have DS but just can't stop worrying.
My stats. DS 19 months. MMC oct 14. Due mid Nov

Amyyy27 · 05/05/2015 17:38

Hi lost glad all is going well and good luck for your scan on Friday! Not long to wait now :)

gennibugs · 05/05/2015 19:03

lost I have my scan on Friday too and am so anxious too so now how you feel. Fx for us both x
