Three weeks today... Not that I'm counting I'm on holiday for two of those weeks so hopefully that will take my mind off the scan and help me relax whilst I'm waiting.

Great news guy.

I've got my scan at 10.30 tomorrow. So nervous!! My doppler arrived today and I told myself I wouldn't try it til after the scan but I couldn't resist. I didn't hear anything but I'd already convinced myself I wouldn't hear anything the first time I used it. In all honesty it hasn't made me more or less nervous. Arrg why did I buy it?!

Roll on 10.30. I'm already mentally preparing myself for the worst and thinking of a back up plan for work if I can't go in in the afternoon because I'll be too distraught. Doubt I'll sleep tonight!!

Hay everyone can I join :) just found out I'm pregnant first BFP ever been trying for 19m :)
Due on 11th Jan so just 5 weeks :) x

Welcome mrschatty ..huge congratulations. This thread is for those pregnant after miscarriage but you are obviously totally welcome to stay..but just a warning as we regularly chat about our mc and the risk of so wouldn't want to upset you. X

Really interested to see how you get on with the Doppler wispy I use one at work sometimes and am sorely tempted to get one and give it a go later in the pregnancy!

Wispy don't panic how far along are you now? I have one- although epau dislike them- and it says easier to find after 12 weeks- I tried at 8 and failed but saw hb on scan after, then tried at 10 with jo luck and tried tuesday last week at exactly 12 weeks and after a while hour of searching and research in at the same time on tips I FINALLY found it! I was soo excited that I drew round the Doppler so j could find it later lol- obv I then couldnt as it moved so honestly don't panic. Apparently midwives don't tend to offer until 16+ weeks due to not always being able to find it easily so really they are just for fun if you find it :-) best of luck for tomorrow

Thanks barbie. Makes me feel better. Should be 12+2 today. I tried for about 2 minutes then stopped. Won't try again til after the scan. Sooo nervous.

barbie I meant to say thank you for the info about the sac. It would agree with the dates I think I am. Just got my fx they will offer me an early scan

I got a letter stating I was low risk for downs. Do you not get actual figures anymore?
Think I can feel fluttering again but it's very much to my right so not 100%. I'm going to try an angel monitor - it might help my sanity until I can define movement plus ds cam hear it.

Greedy that's a shame the figures I felt before were quite helpful I hae my scan wed so will let you know when I get results whether mine says 1: whatever risk x

I think the way they present risk depends on the authority. For DS I had a letter saying low risk but then an attached report saying 1 in 130 which didn't feel low to me. I ended up getting the harmony test as I didn't want the risks associated with the intrusive tests

Perhaps the midwife will have a more detailed report on Friday at 16 weeks appointment. Will let you know! I agree lost some lows are better than others!

I'm going to be off line for 3 weeks enjoying a lovely long holiday while DS is still cheap and before I get too huge. Hope everything goes well for you all. Here's hoping for great scans and deminishing MS!

Lilliana - I called the midwives to self refer last Tuesday. I asked about an early scan because of mc but the midwife just said that the midwife from my surgery would call me to arrange a booking in appointment and I could discuss it with her. Then I got a letter with an appt at the EPU! So I guess it's routine here to refer after one mc - or it could be because my mc was so recent (4 March) or that it was a mmc. I did ask at the EPU when I had my mc and they said they would see me if I got another bfp. I already feel really nervous.

Thanks Tootle the mw tried to call me yesterday but I missed it so hopefully she will try again today and I'll ask her and see what she says. The hospital have officially signed me off so guess it will have to be done through doc/mw. Will have to wait and see. When is your scan? Fx it is all ok
