Thinking of you this morning gingerbreadmam good luck with your scan.

Boozle80 · 18/03/2015 07:02

I did yoga with my dd - haven't dared sign up yet with this pregnancy but loved it with her - it did make me trump a lot though!
Really good luck to anyone with scans today - I'm keeping everything crossed for you all

FlorenceandZebedee · 18/03/2015 07:21

Keeping fingers crossed that all the scans go well today xx
Preg yoga is fantastic I did it when preg with DS and with this one. It was super gentle and a lovely time to bond with bump. Met some lovely mums too, several who I still meet up with. I'm not particularly an earth mother type but still loved this xx

Phryn · 18/03/2015 07:31

Been away for a few days and checking back in.

Ginger and north - so sorry you've both had scary times. I really hope the scans go well today.

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2015 07:37

Good luck ginger and north.

Scan is at 8.50, had a terrible nights sleep. Keeping my fingers crossed.

thanks ladies! treacle is yours a routine scan? hope everything is well.

broodylicious · 18/03/2015 07:56

Less than an hour to go now treacle!!! If you're v nervous or tearful when you get in there, just tell the sonographer and they'll be really quick to tell you all is well xx

Sending love and positive vibes north and ginger xx

broodylicious · 18/03/2015 07:59

cava, I'm another v happy previous preggo yoga student. I found it so helpful, in fact I'm pretty sure it got me through labour without panicking or drugs. Hope you like it too. I'm going to try hypnobirthing this time.

happygojo · 18/03/2015 08:16

I am doing pregnancy yoga and I love it. I have never got on with normal yoga because I am really not flexible and feel pressured to put my body into positions it just will not go. But my preg yoga teacher is brilliant and use of blocks and bolsters etc is really helpful. I wish I could do it twice a week but there isn't loads of pregnancy yoga classes in the area. We do a lot of things that you would do in labour, like exercises and breathing as well as pelvic floor strengthening and relaxation.

I also want to try some hypnobirthing too but waiting til after my 20 week scan next week. I still don't believe this will end in an actual baby.

Doesn't help that I haven't felt definite movement in a day or so. I know this is normal for 19 weeks (right?) especially as I have been really bloated and full of wind which could hide movements.

Big love to North and Ginger

happygojo · 18/03/2015 08:19

Oh and Treacle big love and positive vibes for today. I swear you were just turning 12 weeks about 5 mins ago! Time seems to have sped up since I hit about 16 weeks. Now 19+2 and still don't believe I am pregnant

Sorry I missed you out treacle - thinking of you too. I agree with sun - let the sonographer know you are nervous and they will hopefully be extra sensitive. Really hoping for a good outcome for all scanees today.

gingerbreadmam · 18/03/2015 09:54

Great news ginger. Fingers still firmly crossed for remaining scans. Has anyone ever had acupuncture? I have always been v skeptical of it but my hospital actually refer people for it before an induction ro bring on labour. Is there any scientific evidence that it works?

Mslad · 18/03/2015 10:50

Such great news ginger !!! You must be so relieved. Thoughts with everyone else scanning today.

I've never tried it longest but I know a few people who swear by it. There's no harm giving it a try is there?

CommanderShepard · 18/03/2015 10:55

Hurray ginger! Everything crossed for treaclepie too Flowers

longest, there is clinical evidence to support acupuncture in some situations (migraines, for example) but not for inducing labour, as far as I'm aware. It's not something I'd try, personally, as it makes me feel squeamish at the thought, but otherwise I'd say go for it :)

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2015 11:34

Thank you all xxx
Congrats ginger :) Mine was my dating scan.

I am so relieved to say all is fine with little one!
Dated ahead (which is odd!) So due date is now 19th September :) 13+4 (not DH'S birthday anymore)
Nuchal was 2.1, had all my blood tests and everything. Consultant says I can be midwife led.
Little one was very fidgety and upside down, they kept sitting up straight and headbutting me :p 20 week scan is on the 11th May.
Eek :D
