I've kept it hush hush from FB world but everybody else guessed due to my ever expanding waistline! I didn't really tell anyone, just let them ask - I daren't tempt fate by saying it aloud!

blankfornames · 22/02/2015 03:00

My little boy Bobby arrived yesterday evening! He's just perfect..all 8lbs 7 ozs of him.

Will catch up on news later. Stay positive people...!

Boozle80 · 22/02/2015 07:40

Blank, amazing news! Congratulations to all of you. How're you doing? Photo please (when you've come back down to earth!) what a wonderful thing to wake up to :) xxx

broodylicious · 22/02/2015 07:48

Huge congrats blank! Hope birth was as well as can be expected and you're enjoying mummydom so far xxxx

Lovemylittlebear · 22/02/2015 07:54

Hi guys hope you don't mind me gate crashing as this is a lovely thread. Just on my third misscarriage. Wondering whether anyone on here has some advice they can give me as to whether I should wait a few months for the investigations (on a long nhs waiting list) or whether we should start trying again...not sure what options are but as you are all pregnant following misscarriage I was hoping to get some advice. Thanks xxx

longestlurkerever · 22/02/2015 08:15

Congratulations blank! He sounds perfect.

bear I am so sorry to hear you're going through your third mc. I had three two but am 26 weeks pregnant now so please don't give up hope. I would syrongly advise waiting to ttc aalthough I know how hard it is. A cause may be found and it would be awful to go through another mc and then found it could be prevented. Even if no cause is found your mental health will benefit from having had some things ruled out and the extra care in pregnancy that the rmc give. Statistics show this extra monitoring in itself improves outcomes.

Head on over to the rmc support thread on the mc board for more info and support. Sadly there have been quite a few newbies in the last week and you could be good support for each other.

longestlurkerever · 22/02/2015 08:16

Three too even. Stupid phone!

Lovemylittlebear · 22/02/2015 08:35

Thank you ever so much that's great advice - and such a lovely thread to see :) my GP is crap and has referred me to a general gynaecologist and the receptionist told me off the record to go back and ask for a specialist. Do you know what I should be asking for by any chance? Thanks again and good luck to everyone on here :) xxx

houghtonk76 · 22/02/2015 08:44

Also pregnant after mc - mmc Jan 2014 of first pregnancy (am 38 years), currently 34 weeks pregnant (found out 20th July 2014) & baby boy due 1st April. FX for all & positive vibes your way!!

cavamonster · 22/02/2015 08:44

Congratulations blank!!

Sorry to hear your news bear, I echo longest's words and suggest the RMC thread. You should now be able to seek further tests which hopefully can explain why this is happening.

Re telling people, glad everyone feels the same, our parents know and all our very close friends but they have known from the start and know not to get excited around us - after my history I decided I needed their support through out these crazy first months. I don't plan to do a fb announcement, after 4 years of ttc I am well aware how announcements can be upsetting and as I don't know who is going through what I've decided not to. It'll be people like my neighbours, non close work colleagues or extended family I'll have to try to be careful around but as you all have mentioned I will probably only tell when I need to!

silverline thanks for the info I didn't know about gradual decrease so very glad you mentioned it. I am taking 400mg twice a day.

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2015 08:57

Congrats blank! :)

Sorry to hear that bear, as the ladies have said the repeat miscarriage thread is a good place to look. I hope you are able to get some answers/support.

bear definitely a recurrent miscarriage support specialist, although these will be based within gynaecology I think. Where in the country are you?

Congratulations Houghton.
Yes after my third mc I would sometimes pop back on here and have a look through all the stats for positive outcomes after rmc. Very heartening (sorry for stalker confession everyone! ).

cava I don't think strictly you have to gradually reduce it. After 12 weeks your placenta will be producing enough progesterone to make up for withdrawal of the pessaries, but I preferred to wean myself off too.

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2015 09:02

I'm officially going crazy. I'm 10 weeks today and so pleased go have made it to double figures. I watched one of the videos about how baby is developing and am now in floods of tears. Especially looking at my little scan pic.
Hormones! :p

longestlurkerever · 22/02/2015 09:04

Lovely treacle I think I started to panic a but less after 10 weeks too. Not long till 12 week scan!

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2015 09:14

I hope not :) Waiting for my letter!
My only concern is weight - ive lost 4 lb since finding out. I'm eating but just less than normal as I feel so sick. Was sure that was ok until my app told me off :p

Aw lovely news to log on to blank huge congratulations! Smile

Sorry to hear of your losses bear I think the other ladies advice sounds very sensible. If must be very difficult but really hope to see you back here soon.

happygojo · 22/02/2015 11:43

Hi treacle I lost 6lbs in the first 10 weeks, and now I have gained 5lbs of that back (oops!) but I figure I am going to gain some weight. Lots of women lose weight in the first trimester....ignore your app!

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2015 11:48

Thank you ladies :)
That's what I thought.
