Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone is due in the next couple of weeks and wants to keep a thread of how they're feeling, their daily struggles or keep updated with labour stories etc?!

I'm 38+0 and have been having niggles for a week or so. I have mild polyhydramnios and have been told to expect baby anytime soon, although some days I don't feel pregnant and feel I still have ages to go!

How're you feeling and have you had any signs that your LO will be making an appearance anytime soon?

Fingers crossed it's the start for you Hazel. Had a shower and pulled myself together now.

MrsCorr · 20/02/2015 18:59

That's so nice BigCat, hope things stay that way for you Smile
Bambi, think my hormones are messing with me today too. Was feeling a bit weepy earlier but seem to have snapped out of it. I'm now in my jammies & not moving off the couch until bed time Grin

blankfornames · 20/02/2015 19:00

Hazel, I had that after my sweep. I had been having lots of clusters of clear 'snot' but after the sweep it changed to an even more pleasant browny/pinky colour. I had it a few times. Unfortunately it didnt result in anything further with me but I really hope it does for you!

We're due a thread baby to keep us all going!!

hazel88 · 20/02/2015 19:12

Aww no, was feeling hopeful! We're definitely due another baby story by now!

You could have more success than I had. Think baby positive thoughts!!

blankfornames · 20/02/2015 21:09

On second thoughts Hazel..apologies in advance for the tmi...but i just lost more plug...this time was practically the size of the palm of my hand and kind of grey in colour. How much more is there to lose before I go into labour?!

hazel88 · 20/02/2015 21:19

Oh my goodness! That sounds positive Blank!! As far as I'm aware losing your plug doesn't necassarily mean that labour is close, but it could still happen at any time. Really hoping you keep progressing overnight!

OP posts:
hazel88 · 20/02/2015 21:20

And to me that sounds like a lot, so surely there can't be much more to lose?!

blankfornames · 20/02/2015 21:25

Well the reason I ask is because I lost my first piece well over 2 wks ago! I know it does rebuild itself back again though. Stubborn baby is too comfy in there!

DH just scolded me for watching One Born! Wink It's a guilty pleasure I usually watch from behind a cushion!!

hazel88 · 20/02/2015 21:29

Haha I was an OBEM addict until the day after I found out I was pregnant, then had to force myself to watch it and balled like a baby the whole time! I went to watch it on catchup the other night and saw on the information that it was about a woman who had a CS, so I promptly turned it off!

I never knew the plug can rebuild itself Confused hopefully you won't be waiting long enough for that to happen!

Hello, I wondered if I could join? I'm 38+3 and have two DSs aged 15(!) and 3. I've also had five early miscarriages before getting pg this time, and I'm 42. Not at all desperate to hold my baby safely in my arms...

Although this has actually been a very healthy pregnancy, the fear is still there.

At the moment I'm having some good BH contractions, some weird scratchy sensations inside and baby is slipping in and out of being engaged.

I recognise a name or two from other threads, but I've mostly been hanging out with my old MC buddies. It'd be nice to get to know some new faces and to start to feel properly excited, rather than a bit petrified!

hazel88 · 20/02/2015 22:44

Hi Tanny,

Welcome and huge congratulations Grin hope you're feeling well. It's great being able to chat to other women at a similar point in their pregnancy Smile

Thank you Hazel, I'll have a read back to see how everyone is doing!

BigCatFace · 20/02/2015 23:04

40+4 and having wine. Fuck it!

bambi07 · 20/02/2015 23:21

Hi Tanny it's always great to hear from others and hear their stories.
It's great to hear that some of you seem to be making progress, fingers crossed.
Big, go for it, my sister caved at about your point then went into labour that night, she never told anyone though so no one told her off during labour and of course so she still got her pain relieving drugs! X

Zsazsabinks · 20/02/2015 23:30

Still following! Need another baby, loving especially the mucous chat, I lots loads of small bits of it in the week before baby's hasty entrance, so now I really think it's a sign of things moving along!

BigCatFace, no harm in a glass of wine at this point! Might even smoke the baby out! Enjoy.

Right, come on. Next baby please I'm broody again Grin

BigCatFace · 20/02/2015 23:45

Ha, I thought you meant actually smoke there. 20 fags should make them come out.

I've had no signs at all except Braxton hicks. Feck's sake.

blankfornames · 21/02/2015 02:36

Welcome Tanny, I know you from the m/c page. It's great to be at this stage and chatting to like minded ladies!

Big, good on you having your wine. I had a glass for the past 2 nights. Relaxed me definitely..actually the midwife suggested it for relaxation measures.

So the reason why Im up at this ridiculous time is that I woke up with bad cramps that are coming and going. Also had a bit of a 'clear out' strange for this hour of the night. DH is still asleep and Im between excited and petrified! Will keep you posted.

Zsazsa..lovely to hear from you! How's it going with those newborn cuddles?!

hazel88 · 21/02/2015 08:29

Ooo ooo ooo any news Blank?!

Contractions are varying hugely. Some have made me vomit, others are like period pains. Not sure what to do with myself!

tannyLoo · 21/02/2015 09:03

How exciting! I'm sure they'll start to regulate themselves soon.

hazel88 · 21/02/2015 09:04

Wow Blank that's great Grin how exciting, all sounds so promising, hope this is the start! Keep us updated!

No news from me this morning other than some blood-stained snotty mucous Blush

bambi07 · 21/02/2015 09:07

Sounds very promising blank, fingers crossed for you and hopefully there will be some more progress from others today. X

Cherryblossom200 · 21/02/2015 11:08

Ohh!! Sounds very promising Blanks!!! Loving 'baby watch' Grin xx
