So it turns out that there's a whole load of weird things that happen to you during pregnancy.
Today I experience a heady cocktail of nausea, heartburn and ravenous hunger. SIMULTANEOUSLY. I didn't know if I was coming or going.
Other highlights have included spurious, uncontrollable farts, shooting pains in my lady bits and an overwhelming contentedness to sit down and do NOTHING. Not even think. Seriously, my head feels like Dido or some sort of light jazz has taken the place of actual thinking.
I also did not anticipate feeling like my own gravitational field when sitting in the sofa.
I'm 26 weeks today.

Anything else to add?

I think you've covered most of it. The horrendous farts surprised me too - my male colleague would regularly turn red and leave the room.

leanne963 · 14/01/2015 21:45

Oh the shooting pains in the lady parts are my favourite Hmm

Tell me if you get a 'glow' cause I couldn't find it....

blackwidow74 · 14/01/2015 22:01

26 weeks today too and you missed chronic night sweats, bumshocks and body leaks of all description except as and when you want it to!

Zahrah5 · 14/01/2015 22:07

25 weeks
Varicose veins bulging out, broken veins and capilaries on leg looking like nasty bruises

constipation, praying for hemmoroids to spare me

Leakages, especially when unlocking the door on my way homep

hippymama1 · 14/01/2015 22:14

16 weeks and I hear you!

Don't forget the constipation - I didn't poop for weeks. Now have piles. SEXY.

And the rhinitis. Got to love the hormones.

I am sure we all look AWESOME! (grin)

MamaLazarou · 14/01/2015 22:14

Sorry but 'Dido or some kind of light jazz' has had me shaking with laughter - I know just what you mean! I have been spending the last few evenings looking at pictures of cute cats on Pinterest. One of them was so cute it made me cry. DH has declared me 'too hormonal for the internet'.

hippymama1 · 14/01/2015 22:14

And my bracket don't work - that was supposed to be a :-D... Sigh...

babydazey · 14/01/2015 22:17

'my head feels like Dido or some sort of light jazz has taken the place of actual thinking.' I hear ya! I am 37 weeks, on maternity leave, and addicted, I mean addicted, to the Gilmore Girls (I'm starting to see them as real people) and my sofa. and all of the above.

sebsmummy1 · 14/01/2015 22:17

Too hormonal for the internet Grin

justabigdisco · 14/01/2015 22:20

Am 10 weeks with my second, this time I have the joy of pissing myself while puking. Thanks pelvic floor

AnythingNotEverything · 14/01/2015 22:22

The volume of food I can eat is quite frightening.

But yes, the sitting. I love the sitting. I keep flicking the ipad to make it look like I'm doing something but actually I'm doing nothing. And it's ace.

okeydonkey · 14/01/2015 22:30

Lol. My bladder just seeps all day it's gross and a lot of washing if I don't wear a tena

SweetsForMySweet · 14/01/2015 22:34

28 weeks. Waking up feeling like someone has slept on top of me or like someone has used a hammer on my lady bits if I stand/move for too long. It will be worth it all soon, can't wait to hold our baby in my arms Smile

CheeseEMouse · 14/01/2015 22:37

I'm enjoying (?) having swollen feet again at 26 weeks. The glamour.

Psmith83 · 14/01/2015 23:25

Ha ha ha!!!

Glad I'm not alone....

The nipples! I'm 28 weeks and you can hang a suit of armour off them!!! They're constantly erect and the colour on the dulux paint chart is "aubergine"

MadamSwish · 15/01/2015 05:26

Oh and course the insomnia. Note the time of posting - and I've been awake since 3.30 am.

FluffyRedSocks · 15/01/2015 05:37

When you have children 3.30 is a regular wake up call Confused
Been up since 4.30, anything before 6 mainly because that's when cbeebies starts is too early Sad

It will be worth it soon!

BikeRunSki · 15/01/2015 05:42

Leg cramps anyone?
Soft and bleeding gums?

(Not pg, but those are two of the symptoms I remember only too well on top of the hyperemisis).

smallgreenbanana · 15/01/2015 05:51

Starting to get a bit fed up of the insomnia now...

helloelo · 15/01/2015 05:57

Are you kidding?! Pregnancy is a-ma-zing!!!

I'm 40+5. Last night I thought my waters had broken. DH put his hand between my legs and smelled it.

WiIdfire · 15/01/2015 06:01

"Too hormonal for the internet" hahahaha!

Psmith83 · 15/01/2015 08:47

sleepingdragon · 15/01/2015 08:56

I had my DS last summer, and one of the weirdest pregnancy symptoms I got were electric shocks. At work I was getting them off the coat rack via my coat, the door handles, my desk, and the printer/photocopier, so multiple times a day, and it got quite embarrasing! They put these rubber mats in front of the photocopier to stand on that were supposed to stop the shocks, but I still got them. I could have been wired into the national grid I was producing so much electricity.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 15/01/2015 08:59

In a few weeks your ribs will feel like they are moving to separate post codes. I used to race home from.work to remove my bra.
