Off for my 9 week scan tomorrow, so wish me luck.

Still feeling pg and threw up last night. Never thought I'd be so happy about throwing up

Just hope all is well. How is everyone else?

JucyLucy2...hope all went well with your scan.

I'm doing OK, but have had a bit of very light spotting and imagine slight cramping (think it's imagination anyway)....still also doing the boob prodding, and they are still sore (having to wear bra in bed as keep waking up in pain when I roll over)...mind you I don't know if they would be this sore if I wasn't poking at them every half hour (LOL). Feeling a bit crap today because of spotting as it was about this time I m/c'd the last time. Trying to stay positive as sore boobs and nausea still very much with me. Usually queasy till about 3 then dog tired after that

Spoke to my midwife today...got my booking appointment booked for 1st December and she said the hospital would be in touch directly for a scan date prior to that. The doc last week said he'd do me an urgent referral because of previous 2 m/c and have coeliac disease (gluten intolerance) which is an auto-immune disease and may affect things. MW said that if the spotting continues I should refer myself to the EPU....may just do that, at least it would settle things in my mind. She didn't mention my age which was good. It was one of the first things the doc said.....and I'm only 37.

Anyway...trying to keep cheerful and doing lots of positive thinking. DS has put two and two together...reading the Sanatogen box, and although I've explained it's more a cluster of cells than a baby, he's telling everyone he meets he's getting a sister (even though the needle and thread test said blue!!). He's being quite cute by asking each morning 'how are the cells doing today mummy?' Bless his heart.

Hope everyone out there is keeping well and happy

Hello again - lost this thread for a while so I'm delighted to have found you all again!

Lemon - so sorry to hear your news .

Do we have a stats thread for this or do I just need to check back to see how far along we all are?

I'm 15.5 today.

jabberthefriendlyghost · 24/10/2006 21:40

So sorry lemons

I lost this thread for a while, but as an update from my end I guess my only big news is that I got my official c-section date yesterday. So, six weeks from yesterday, dec 4th! I waffle between wanting it to get here tomorrow and thinking of all the things that still have to be done.

The nursery still isn't even painted yet

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 24/10/2006 21:53

Hi

I got my bfp today and am due july 2006 the same month I turn 40!!

This is my fourth child. I had a m/c in 1992,a lovely little girl in 2003 and a stillbirth little girl at 25 weeks last year.I have been ttc for 18 months

jabberthefriendlyghost · 24/10/2006 22:38

Oh, wow! Big congratulations!!!

Juicylucythe2nd · 25/10/2006 12:50

Chocolate Peanut, welcome to our world

I recognise you from the positive threads on conception, don't I? CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I had my 9wk scan this morning and it was very reasuring. Wriggly pod and strong heartbeat. Feeling very positive at the moment. Hoping this feeling will take me through to the 12wk + nuchal.

Jabba - dec 4th is a greeat day to be born Its my birthday!

Thanks everyone for your kindness, I do really apprechiate it. I am quite philosophical about it - its my 5th m/c - but I have 3 wonderful healthy sons so I am very very lucky

God luck to everyone - I hope to rejoin this thread in the future!!

Rosyspookily · 25/10/2006 19:28

Congratulations chocolatepeanut! I am due march the same month I turn 40 too! Was planning to have a 40th birthday party but I reckon I'll be otherwise preoccupied now!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 25/10/2006 19:48

I got pregnant on clomid and all my friends are saying 'twins at 40!!'

crayon · 25/10/2006 20:39

Muckers - I hope you see this. Missed miscarriages are horrible, sorry to hear you are going through all this. I had one about 20 months ago, but managed to get pregnant again eventually at 40 and gave birth at 41 to a lovely little boy who I am breastfeeding whilst typing this. Don't despair yet - good luck!

Juicylucythe2nd · 26/10/2006 10:05

My 40th is a week after my due date. I was also planning a big party, but guess it will have to wait!

Aww, lemons, I'll send you some special baby dust on ds's big day.

Anyone else got massive pregnancy insomnia?

Juicylucythe2nd · 26/10/2006 15:49

Couldn't sleep last night, but don't know whether that was the start of insomnia or whether it I was just too warm.

Hoping it was that I was just too warm

marymillington · 30/10/2006 12:57

hallo, haven't been here for a week or two

i was 37 on Saturday. went to Norfolk for the weekend and spent it tromping about on the beach in the sunshine - as a result i feel at least double that. mt hips and back are killing me.

people's eyes virutally pop out when i tell them i'm only 6 months pregnant, am beginning to feel like a freak!

steppemum · 30/10/2006 16:35

Hi everyone, I haven't read it alll to meet you yet (I'll go off line and read it or my dh will get fractious about internet time

I am 39, dh is 37
we have
ds 3 (nearly 4 as he keeps telling me)
dd 19 months

I am 7 weeks pregnant, due mid June

I CAN"T BELIEVE I am going to be over 40 when this baby is born. All my friends with little ones are about 10 years younger!

On the bus with dd yesterday and a lady gave up her seat for us and said to dd, "you sit here with your granny"
Not impressed, I checked out the mirror when I got home and it wasn't a bad hair/face day at all!!!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 30/10/2006 17:50

Hi everyone

Just got back from a week in Morocco. It was lovely but I wish I hadn't been so damned tired all the time.

By the way, while in Morocco I learnt that when the prophet Mohammed got married, he was 25 and his bride was 40 - she then went on to bear six children!!!

Steppenmum, hi and congratulations on your grand child, opps I mean pregnancy LOL

I "met" you on the Borat thread recently. Did you know Sue Jonez in flying to Kazachstan tomorrow?

Hi everyone else - how are you all doing? Not too tired I hope.

Am 22+1 now and baby kicking furiously.

flabbergasted · 30/10/2006 17:55

I'm 39 and just pregnant. Previous m/cs and unsuccessful IVF. (This pregnancy has happened the old fashioned way, just as Mother Nature's little surprise) I'm already knackered - I just hope I'll have the energy.

Juicylucythe2nd · 31/10/2006 10:01

When does the tiredness reduce? I'm 10wks today and seem to be going to bed earlier every night.

I will be 40 1 week after my due date, so fully expect to be 40 by the time it arrives. Bit scary the thought of being a first time mum at 40, but also the best birthday present I will ever have received. Fingers crossed.

Juicylucythe2nd · 31/10/2006 10:04

BTW - Welcome Flabergasted. Congratulations!! . When are you due?

OP posts:
Angielfc · 31/10/2006 10:31

Hiya, I'm another 'oldie'. I'm 43 and also 10 weeks pregnant today! Due 29th May all being well. Got a dating scan booked on friday and feeling a bit apprehensive as I've had 2 mmcs before. I'm also tired, which doesn't help when you have a 2 year old to look after!

flabbergasted · 31/10/2006 10:42

Thank you Juicylucy2nd. Should be middle of June, all being well - but I'm avoiding putting dates in my diary just yet - there's nothing sadder than coming across them later if it hasn't worked.
Is there any point when the breasts stop aching and the urge for a lie down goes away? (I realise after everything it sounds ungrateful to gripe but the novelty is wearing off....
)

Juicylucythe2nd · 31/10/2006 12:19

Angie - you and I have the same due date. Good luck for your scan on Friday. I had a 9 week scan last week, which made me feel so much better (I had a mmc in May). Got to wait until 14th Nov for the 12wk one now.

Flabergasted - Know what you mean about not putting too many dates in the diary.
If you find out when the exhaustion stops LET ME KNOW!! Could sleep 15hrs every night - if it wasn't for the insomnia I get in the middle of the night!

OP posts:
jabberthefriendlyghost · 31/10/2006 12:35

Hi everyone, will agree about being much more tired this time around. Although i had ds at 38 so that wasn't a whole lot better than 41, lol. I am making a conscious decision to be much easier on myself this time around, though. Tried to be superwoman with ds and wound up with high bp and lots and lots of swelling. So far, at 33+5 I've only got moderate swelling - just started in the last couple of weeks - and so far bp is fine. Dh has been calling this one the Buddha Baby because I am so much calmer. I think that may go with the second one anyway though.

steppemum, at the granny comment. Poor dh got a similar one when he ds was a month old. And it was dh's birthday!!!
