Don't know how to stay calm because am experiencing exactly the same. Now 7+3 and still checking symptoms everyday.

If you find out the secret let me in on it!!

DH: 34
39 weeks + 4 days. First baby. The size of a house.
Don't feel very "mature" though, not sensible enough by half!

jamiesam · 13/10/2006 21:45

Hi, this is a lovely looking thread and just wanted to pop in to say hi.

I'm 39 yrs old and have two ds's (5 + 3) and am pg, 38+4. I shall be having an elective c/s on Monday so won't be around, but want to wish you all the best of luck. After an early m/c in Dec, and at my age (!) this has been a stressful pg but since around 30 weeks I think the pg hormones took over and I've been enjoying being the size of a house. Am even a little sad that I will lose my lovely (and last) bump on Monday - though excited that I will gain a baby of course!

Hope you all have lovely pregnancies and even nicer babies!

PizPizPiz · 13/10/2006 21:50

Hello jamiesam and welcome. Best of luck for Monday. Go on, give us a wonderful baby

jamiesam · 13/10/2006 21:55

Hey, thanks, I'll do my best!

Just one to add that may make you giggle, My 35 year old Doctor told me that I am an "Elderly Mother" by todays standards. He was joking, sort of, when he said it

eidsvold · 14/10/2006 05:54

hey UCM at 33 having dd1 I was classed as a geriatric mother by a midwife.... felt like I should get my walking frame and scoot along. WOnder what I would be now with no3 on the way and 38!

UCM · 14/10/2006 08:49

I do think it's funny as I just dont see us as 'old'

ThomBat · 14/10/2006 08:52

Not pregnant but am 35 and might consider a 3rd, but do I have to be described as a mature lady if I do go for it??!!

EliBoo · 14/10/2006 09:01

Hello youngsters...

I was 45 when I got pg this last and definitely final time, and am 46 now at 32 weeks. dh a few months younger than me, and dd will be 3 at Christmas. We are one of those couples who were trying for years and had just about given up....we have mixed feelings about being older parents, but so far its been fantastic and the main one is gratitude (and ongoing surprise).

Both pretty much trouble free pregnancies (so far) apart from usual discomforts, and I think I've had more energy this time than last - apart from the last couple of weeks since I caught dd's cough/cold.

Wonder if there are any other mid-forties Mums out there who have been hiding...hearing you lot describe yourselves as old is a little daunting

Greengirlforever · 14/10/2006 11:56

Hello all - Have I seen Fatfox on this thread yet??

Me - 41
DH - nearly 36
DS1 - nearly 14
DS2 - 3.4

Due (pink one - had clear CVS) 12/4/07 but will probably be very late, unless pink ones act differently......

I definitely think it's tougher, being so much older (although not totally decrepit obviously!). I have been sooooo, soooo tired and it still hasn't gone and I'm 14 weeks now. DS2 is a handful but they all are ! Anyone further along who is able to tell me that this tiredness will go away and I will regain my interest in sex, housework or anything not related to lying on the sofa???

Hi everyone,

Never considered myself 'mature' before really. Aged yes. OK, here goes..

Me: 36
DH: 37
DD1: 6
DD2: 4
DS: 21 months
EDD: 4.4.07

GGF, I felt like you until a couple of days ago (now 15 + 3). I thought I'd never want to get up from the sofa again. Now I am suddenly full of energy and cleaning like mad (and boy did the house need it). Don't know about the sex bit yet. DH has been away for 6 weeks and is back in a week so even I feel up for it, but maybe the novelty will wear off .

Creena · 14/10/2006 14:53

Hello!

Me - 37 (soon to be 38)
Husband - 36
Daughter - 15
Son - 10
Due on 29th May 2007

Can I ask a question? I've noticed people referring to threads called things like Due In May but I've yet to actually locate any of these - where are they?!

claricebean · 14/10/2006 15:03

Hi Creena, They're under Ante-natal Clubs. There's a thread for each month. Look under the 'by topic' search and May's should be there. HTH

Creena · 14/10/2006 15:07

Excellent - thanks so much Claricebean!

Caiti · 14/10/2006 16:52
