oh broody sounds like you're having an awful time. It's just so much stress and fear and pressure, isn't it? I don't think I will be happy until I have the baby in my arms, I thought a good 8w scan would help but no dice, it's just in the back of my mind all the time. Don't beat yourself up about your dd, I'm scratchy with absolutely everyone at the moment, it's totally normal. Maybe try to take an hour or so for you, go for a walk or get your nails done or something?

Heyoo ladies, I'm back (for some reason im not into talking about the pregnancy atm just in case) hows everyone coping? Hope everyone's pregnancies are progressing smoothly. :) Hubby and I are going to book an early private scan do I go for the 18th when I'll be 8+2 or the 25th at 9+2? I'm getting very nervous now and originally though i could hold out till the 25th but now I'm not too sure. Would anyone recommend holding on for another week? I read the chances of m/c decrease week by week.

charlieis30 · 08/01/2015 16:55

Hi elley glad to see you back... at 8w I saw a healthy hb and baby measuring perfectly. The chances of going on to MC are very low once you've had a good 8w scan, and though you're right that MC chances reduce the further you go, it really depends on what's causing the MCs... some people do have good 8/9w scans and still go on to miscarry, unfortunately. Whereas for me, my MCs were caused by chromosomal problems which had always shown up by or at the 8w scan. It's really up to you how long you think you can wait!

I was told 8 weeks was the biggest milestone by my consultant elley if that helps. Whispered congratulations!

Can I join the scanxiety handholding for tues? It's my 20 week scan and although I am feeling sporadic movement I am starting to fret about "anomalies". That's what they are looking for after all, right?

broody I was such a ratbag with dd in the first trimester. Felt like I had scratchy iron filings for blood. Weirdly my mood lifted as I started to feel really sick around 10-11 weeks.

Mummytogoldie · 09/01/2015 00:03

I have my first scan tomorrow I am absolutely petrified x don't expect to see much cos still very early days but I am praying we see something :/

ElleyBear13 · 09/01/2015 07:17

Good luck mummy!

leanne963 · 09/01/2015 11:31

Good luck Mummy I hope all goes well for you!

I'm just dropping in to say I hope you are all having successful pregnancies. This pregnancy had been an emotional roller coaster after having a MC back in June. I was convinced this one would go the same and ended up paying for three private scans before my 12 week scan. Everyone would tell me 'Don't worry, the stress isn't good, put it to the back of your mind' it was the longest first trimester EVER. So I really feel for all of you ladies going through this time!!!!

Today I had my 20 week scan and everything went perfect! I feel so blessed that my little girl is going to do well and I just want to say I was in all of your position's recently and I never thought I would get to today and I have. Keep strong everyone and you too will look back at these difficult days and say that is was all worth it in the end! Big hugs to you all! You are all doing so amazing and you are all so strong!!!!

longestlurkerever · 09/01/2015 14:56

Thanks for stopping by Leanne and congratulations on your lovely girl news! We are on the same antenatal thread so should have babies around the same time but my scan is still to come.

leanne963 · 09/01/2015 14:59

Good luck longest I was a bit nervous about it but luckily the sonographer talked us through everything and didn't go silent for too long as she said silence sometimes worries people, so it was really good!

Babytinx11 · 09/01/2015 15:15

32 week appointment with the consultant all went fab growth scan showed baby is measuring just over 2 weeks ahead and looking like a proper little chunk :). Also been decided that things will be started at 38 weeks I'll have 2 sweeps and if they don't work then I'll be induced just waiting for blood test rests coz of itching now. But really not long to go now :)

charlieis30 · 09/01/2015 15:19

Feeling the best today (11+5) that I've felt in weeks, but accompanied by some cramping which is freaking me out a bit. DH thinks it's just that I've done exercise today (we went for about a half hour walk, haven't been standing up for that long in a while)
Looking for some reassurance that I'm probably fine after good scan at 10+2! Still 6 days until next so I don't want to spend that whole time worrying

Charlie i think that a few niggles and twinges as things stretch are all pretty normal. I swim most days and can feel the odd twinge afterwards - but it does wonders for my sickness. I feel sick basically everywhere but the pool, i can't recommend it enough.

broodylicious · 09/01/2015 18:17

charlie, I can tell when I've overdone it as I feel a bit stretchy too. And crazy exhausted. I honestly could've gone to sleep after breakfast and my shower the other day - not like me. Mega fresh air, the kind with wind and a chill in it, makes me feel so sick Shock so I'm trying to avoid doing anything outdoorsy while the weather is like it is today.

Littlelady33 · 09/01/2015 18:20

I've had that too - wanting to go to bed about an hour after getting up. I'm told this tiredness will pass, I won't miss it when it does!

broodylicious · 09/01/2015 19:30

I don't remember being this tired when I was pg with dd. And I worked full time then, with an hour's commute each way, plus had my horse to look after/ride before and after work! Maybe my hunch about twins (still not subsiding!) could be accurate....

Skinnylegs33 · 09/01/2015 20:33

Hello ladies,

Haven't been around for more than 2 weeks now. We have just returned and I wanted to stop by and say "hi".

Hope everyone is well; will catch up with the thread this weekend.

longestlurkerever · 09/01/2015 20:57

Yeay baby that is fab news. Charlie I agree with the others. I have had crampy pain on and off all the way through. Pretty sure it's stretching.

The tiredness is my worst symptom in my first trimester. I think if anything I was worse with dd though, probably because I tried to carry on as normal whereas this time I just caved and went to bed at 8 if I felt like it.

Mummytogoldie · 09/01/2015 21:06

Well not great news from the scan there was a sac but only measuring 13mm so tiny and nothing could be seen in it yet. No idea why my hormone levels are so high if sac that small :( had bloods done, will get results on Monday and hopefully levels will have gone up not down and another scan next Friday :/

longestlurkerever · 09/01/2015 21:34

mummy I am sorry you didn't get more reassurance. Fingers crossed it's just early days. Will be thinking of you on Monday.x
