Plus size bumps!

Have seen a few threads where women are feeling crap for being plus size and pregnant. I feel crap sometimes too, especially when googling pregnancy and only seeing representations of slim pregnant women and nobody who looks like me (no offence at all to slim women). I couldn't really find much that wasn't critical or bump pics!

So here's a thread for plus size bumps if you're feeling up to posting yours!

I don't have a bump pic I'd be comfortable posting yet but I love all the pics posted already.
I was really worried how I'm going to look with a big bump but you all look lovely. Last time I had a bmi of 18 at booking but had a huge bump by 30 weeks.
I'm 18 weeks now and my bump is getting bigger but I've a bmi of 28 this time so it's much harder to see iykwim. But these photos just made me excited for it to grow .

Hurray for everyone on this thread. my last post on here was at 32w so I'll post a new picture soon... I'm 37w tomorrow!
For anyone concerned about GD I've been diet managed on mine and won't be induced until 40w as baby is measuring just right so far. hurray!

Bump at 37 weeks today. No idea if it's a boy or a girl. Lovely to see everyone else's :)

Just to add I was a size 12 at booking, now wearing a size 20. Have felt completely powerless over the weight gain & changes in my body, and been amazed at some of the hurtful comments I've had. Just keep thinking will all be worth it once he or she is here. You all look amazing :)

My BMI was just over 30 at my booking in appt last week, I am only 8 weeks today, but the MW made me feel like I am hugely obese and will suffer all sorts of problems and has put me on a special 'pathway' for larger ladies and has got me worrying about how I might harm the baby.
Weirdly I weighed more than I do now when I had DD 3 years ago, and nothing was said/done about my weight then, so not sure why it's become such a point of concern in that time.
Lovely to hear that you're all feeling happy, healthy and active! Will certainly be adding my photo in a few months time!
Also, helloelo losing a stone in ten weeks is incredible! Was it just through healthy eating and exercise?

35w update, I feel huuuuuuge, my new nickname from my OH is "sexy whaly"

Oh and gingerbread I lost a stone in the first trimester thanks to a great diet called morning sickness :) all I could do was eating raw carrots then puking orange. Charming!

I lost just under 2 stone in 20 weeks through the joys of hyperemesis. Luckily it is back under control with medication (down to a few vomits a week rather than 30 a day...) and I've put some back on.

COYGL12 you have such a lovely neat tidy bump. Blooming beautiful. And you don't look a size a 20 at all.

BlueBerryWafer there's nothing wrong with your bump, it's beautiful. I'm trying not to worry about my flabby bits till after my lil one arrives, I'm dreading the dieting already!

Helloelo you have a lovely sized bump, nice n neat. I've got a flabby bit on the bottom of mine, dreading the state my belly is going to get in once my baby is born!

Jodie I really look the same as you in my knickers. I have the same cellulite on my lower hips, water retention is not helping right now. And the flabby bit you mention has just disappeared with last week's growth spur so yours might as well (but to be honest, the granny knickers I always have on come up much higher than the knickers you have on on the pic so OH had not really noticed he said).

Tranquility don't worry, as you can see, we all get to look obviously pg and not just bloated!

Jodie trust me it looks much better with leggings over like that - it's awful without but I don't have the courage to post a pic. Maybe I should grow a pair and post it so we can all see we're not alone with the flabby bit at the bottom

Here's a picture Dh took last night for me - I'm 37w today! In to the day unit at the hospital this afternoon for monitoring after a growth scan last week revealed a bit more fluid than they would ideally like... not sure what to expect tbh. insomnia has hit big style tonight though... dozed of around 11pm I think then was awake at 1 and 3 but now properly awake since 4... Think its going to be a looooooong day!!!

I'll have to try to get a photo up but I'm almost 30 weeks but bump is (as of 2 weeks ago) 4 weeks ahead. Luckily baby is only a week and a half ahead. I think this is because I was overweight an am short. Folk have commented on my big bump a lot recently but have also been told I've lost weight around the face?!

Cheshirem2b you look amazing! I can't b bothered with my hair n make up at all lately, everything seems a huge effort lol.

JennyBlueWren, I wish I could lose it on my face. My face/head is totally pregnant lol.

Jodie - I only did hair and make up because I was singing in a concert and felt I had to put some effort in to it! It's my work Christmas meal tomorrow and frankly I can't be bothered but it's only 5mins from my house so I can leave when I need to.

Hi Ladies, I shared my bump at 18 weeks through I would share me currently at 23 weeks :)

Starting bmi of 30 this is my 29 week bump

Was told my bmi is 36 today (ouch) at 12 weeks. I asked about joining slimming world and the MW has referred me to a lifestyle clinic and said I maybe eligible to get slimming world membership and attend for free under a new NHS initiative. Has anyone else heard of this?
